Psalms 105

105:1
O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
Hvalite Jahvu, prizivajte mu ime, navješćujte među narodima djela njegova!
105:2
Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
Pjevajte mu, svirajte mu, pripovijedajte sva njegova čudesa!
105:3
Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Dičite se svetim imenom njegovim, neka se raduje srce onih što traže Jahvu!
105:4
Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Tražite Jahvu i njegovu snagu, tražite svagda njegovo lice!
105:5
Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
Sjetite se čudesa koja učini, njegovih čuda i sudova usta njegovih!
105:6
O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
Abrahamov rod sluga je njegov, sinovi Jakovljevi njegovi izabranici!
105:7
He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
On je Jahve, Bog naš; po svoj su zemlji njegovi sudovi!
105:8
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
On se uvijek sjeća svojega Saveza, riječi koju dade tisući naraštaja:
105:9
Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
Saveza koji sklopi s Abrahamom i zakletve svoje Izaku.
105:10
And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
Ustanovi je kao zakon Jakovu, Izraelu vječni Savez,
105:11
Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
govoreći: "Tebi ću dati kanaansku zemlju kao dio u baštinu vašu."
105:12
When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
Kad ih još bješe malo na broju, vrlo malo, i kad bjehu pridošlice u njoj,
105:13
When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
išli su od naroda do naroda, iz jednoga kraljevstva k drugom narodu,
105:14
He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
ali ne dopusti nikom da ih tlači, kažnjavaše zbog njih kraljeve:
105:15
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
"Ne dirajte u moje pomazanike, ne nanosite zla mojim prorocima!"
105:16
Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
I on pozva glad na zemlju, sve zalihe uništi krušne.
105:17
He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
Pred njima čovjeka posla: Josip u ropstvo bijaše prodan.
105:18
Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
Sputaše uzama noge njegove, u gvožđe mu vrat staviše,
105:19
Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
dok se ne ispuni proroštvo njegovo, Jahvina ga riječ potvrdi.
105:20
The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
Kralj naredi da ga driješe, narÄodÄa poglavar oslobodi njega.
105:21
He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
Za domaćina ga stavi kući svojoj, za nadstojnika sveg imanja svoga,
105:22
To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
da velikaše njegove po volji uči i starce njegove mudrosti da vodi.
105:23
Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Tad Izrael u Egipat uđe, Jakov došljak bješe u Kamovoj zemlji.
105:24
And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
Narod svoj umnoži veoma, učini ga jačim od dušmana.
105:25
He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
Okrenu im srce da zamrze narod njegov, da slugama njegovim opaki budu.
105:26
He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
Mojsija posla, slugu svoga, Arona, kog odabra.
105:27
They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
Činjahu među njima znake njegove i čudesa u Kamovoj zemlji.
105:28
He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
Posla tmine, i smrknu se, al' prkosiše oni riječima njegovim.
105:29
He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
U krv im vode prometnu i pobi ribe njihove.
105:30
Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
Zemljom im žabe provrvješe, prodriješe i u dvore kraljevske.
105:31
He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
Reče, i muha roj doletje i komarci u sve kraje njine.
105:32
He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
Mjesto kiše grÓad im dade, ognjene munje po njihovoj zemlji.
105:33
He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
Udari im lozu i smokve, polomi stabla u krajima njinim.
105:34
He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
Reče, i skakavci dođoše i bezbrojne gusjenice s njima.
105:35
And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
U zemlji im proždriješe svu bilinu, proždriješe rod njihovih njiva.
105:36
He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
Pobi sve prvorođene u njihovoj zemlji, sve prvine snage njihove.
105:37
He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Izvede ih sa srebrom i zlatom; u plemenima njinim bolesnih ne bješe.
105:38
Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
Odlasku njihovu Egipat se obradova, jer ga od njih strah spopade.
105:39
He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
Rasprostro je oblak kao pokrov i oganj da se obnoć sja.
105:40
The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Zamoliše, i dovede prepelice, nebeskim ih kruhom tad nahrani.
105:41
He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
Hrid rascijepi, i provri voda, pustinjom poteče kao rijeka.
105:42
For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
Tad se sjeti svete riječi svoje što je zada sluzi svome Abrahamu.
105:43
And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
Puk svoj s klicanjem izvede i s veseljem izabrane svoje.
105:44
And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
I dade im zemlje poganske, trud naroda baštiniše,
105:45
That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
da čuvaju naredbe njegove i zakone da mu paze. Aleluja!
