Psalms 105

यहोवा का धन्यवाद करो! तुम उसके नाम की उपासना करो। लोगों से उनका बखान करो जिन अद्भुत कामों को वह किया करता है।

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

यहोवा के लिये तुम गाओ। तुम उसके प्रशंसा गीत गाओ। उन सभी आश्चर्यपूर्ण बातों का वर्णन करो जिनको वह करता है।

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

यहोवा के पवित्र नाम पर गर्व करो। ओ सभी लोगों जो यहोवा के उपासक हो, तुम प्रसन्न हो जाओ।

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

सामर्थ्य पाने को तुम यहोवा के पास जाओ। सहारा पाने को सदा उसके पास जाओ।

Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

उन अद्भुत बातों को स्मरण करो जिनको यहोवा करता है। उसके आश्चर्य कर्म और उसके विवेकपूर्ण निर्णयों को याद रखो।

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

तुम परमेश्वर के सेवक इब्राहीम के वंशज हो। तुम याकूब के संतान हो, वह व्यक्ति जिसे परमेश्वर ने चुना था।

O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

यहोवा ही हमारा परमेश्वर है। सारे संसार पर यहोवा का शासन है।

He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

परमेश्वर की वाचा सदा याद रखो। हजार पीढ़ियों तक उसके आदेश याद रखो।

He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

इब्राहीम के साथ परमेश्वर ने वाचा बाँधा था! परमेश्वर ने इसहाक को वचन दिया था।

Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

परमेश्वर ने याकूब (इस्राएल) को व्यवस्था विधान दिया। परमेश्वर ने इस्राएल के साथ वाचा किया। यह सदा सर्वदा बना रहेगा।

And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

परमेश्वर ने कहा था, “कनान की भूमि मैं तुमको दूँगा। वह धरती तुम्हारी हो जायेगी।”

Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

परमेश्वर ने वह वचन दिया था, जब इब्राहीम का परिवार छोटा था और वे बस यात्री थे जब कनान में रह रहे थे।

When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

वे राष्ट्र से राष्ट्र में, एक राज्य से दूसरे राज्य में घूमते रहे।

When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

किन्तु परमेश्वर ने उस घराने को दूसरे लोगों से हानि नहीं पहुँचने दी। परमेश्वर ने राजाओं को सावधान किया कि वे उनको हानि न पहुँचाये।

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

परमेश्वर ने कहा था, “मेरे चुने हुए लोगों को तुम हानि मत पहूँचाओ। तुम मेरे कोई नबियों का बुरा मत करो।”

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

परमेश्वर ने उस देश में अकाल भेजा। और लोगों के पास खाने को पर्याप्त खाना नहीं रहा।

Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

किन्तु परमेश्वर ने एक व्यक्ति को उनके आगे जाने को भेजा जिसका नाम यूसुफ था। यूसुफ को एक दास के समान बेचा गया था।

He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

उन्होंने यूसुफ के पाँव में रस्सी बाँधी। उन्होंने उसकी गर्दन में एक लोहे का कड़ा डाल दिया।

Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

यूसुफ को तब तक बंदी बनाये रखा जब तक वे बातें जो उसने कहीं थी सचमुच घट न गयी। यहोवा ने सुसन्देश से प्रमाणित कर दिया कि यूसुफ उचित था।

Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

मिस्र के राजा ने इस तरह आज्ञा दी कि यूसुफ के बंधनों से मुक्त कर दिया जाये। उस राष्ट्र के नेता ने कारागार से उसको मुक्त कर दिया।

The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

यूसुफ को अपने घर बार का अधिकारी बना दिया। यूसुफ राज्य में हर वस्तु का ध्यान रखने लगा।

He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

यूसुफ अन्य प्रमुखों को निर्देश दिया करता था। यूसुफ ने वृद्ध लोगों को शिक्षा दी।

To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

फिर जब इस्राएल मिस्र में आया। याकूब हाम के देश में रहने लगा।

Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

याकूब के वंशज बहुत से हो गये। वे मिस्र के लोगों से अधिक बलशाली बन गये।

And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

इसलिए मिस्री लोग याकूब के घराने से घृणा करने लगे। मिस्र के लोग अपने दासों के विरुद्ध कुचक्र रचने लगे।

He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

इसलिए परमेश्वर ने निज दास मूसा और हारुन जो नबी चुना हुआ था, भेजा।

He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

परमेश्वर ने हाम के देश में मूसा और हारुन से अनेक आश्चर्य कर्म कराये।

They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

परमेश्वर ने गहन अधंकार भेजा था, किन्तु मिस्त्रियों ने उनकी नहीं सुनी थी।

He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

सो फिर परमेश्वर ने पानी को खून में बदल दिया, और उनकी सब मछलियाँ मर गयी।

He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

और फिर बाद में मिस्त्रियों का देश मेढ़कों से भर गया। यहाँ तक की मेढ़क राजा के शयन कक्ष तक भरे।

Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

परमेश्वर ने आज्ञा दी मक्खियाँ और पिस्सू आये। वे हर कहीं फैल गये।

He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

परमेश्वर ने वर्षा को ओलों में बदल दिया। मिस्त्रियों के देश में हर कहीं आग और बिजली गिरने लगी।

He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

परमेश्वर ने मिस्त्रियों की अंगूर की बाड़ी और अंजीर के पेड़ नष्ट कर दिये। परमेश्वर ने उनके देश के हर पेड़ को तहस नहस किया।

He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

परमेश्वर ने आज्ञा दी और टिड्डी दल आ गये। टिड्डे आ गये और उनकी संखया अनगिनत थी।

He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

टिड्डी दल और टिड्डे उस देश के सभी पौधे चट कर गये। उन्होंने धरती पर जो भी फसलें खड़ी थी, सभी को खा डाली।

And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

फिर परमेश्वर ने मिस्त्रियों के पहलौठी सन्तान को मार डाला। परमेश्वर ने उनके सबसे बड़े पुत्रों को मारा।

He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

फिर परमेश्वर निज भक्तों को मिस्र से निकाल लाया। वे अपने साथ सोना और चाँदी ले आये। परमेश्वर का कोई भी भक्त गिरा नहीं न ही लड़खड़ाया।

He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

परमेश्वर के लोगों को जाते हुए देख कर मिस्र आनन्दित था, क्योंकि परमेश्वर के लोगों से वे डरे हुए थे।

Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

परमेश्वर ने कम्बल जैसा एक मेघ फैलाया। रात में निज भक्तों को प्रकाश देने के लिये परमेश्वर ने अपने आग के स्तम्भ को काम में लाया।

He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

लोगों ने खाने की माँग की और परमेश्वर उनके लिये बटेरों को ले आया। परमेश्वर ने आकाश से उनको भरपूर भोजन दिया।

The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

परमेश्वर ने चट्टान को फाड़ा और जल उछलता हुआ बाहर फूट पड़ा। उस मरुभूमि के बीच एक नदी बहने लगी।

He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

परमेश्वर ने अपना पवित्र वचन याद किया। परमेश्वर ने वह वचन याद किया जो उसने अपने दास इब्राहीम को दिया था।

For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

परमेश्वर अपने विशेष को मिस्र से बाहर निकाल लाया। लोग प्रसन्न गीत गाते हुए और खुशियाँ मनाते हुए बाहर आ गये!

And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

फिर परमेश्वर ने निज भक्तों को वह देश दिया जहाँ और लोग रह रहे थे। परमेश्वर के भक्तों ने वे सभी वस्तु पा ली जिनके लिये औरों ने श्रम किया था।

And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

परमेश्वर ने ऐसा इसलिए किया ताकि लोग उसकी व्यवस्था माने। परमेश्वर ने ऐसा इसलिए किया ताकि वे उसकी शिक्षाओं पर चलें। यहोवा के गुण गाओ!

That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
