Psalms 89

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

(По слав. 88) Маскил на езраеца Етан. Ще възпявам милостите на ГОСПОДА до века, ще известявам с устата си Твоята вярност на всички поколения.

For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

Защото казах: Милостта ще се съгради до века, Ти ще утвърдиш истината Си в самите небеса.

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

Направих завет с избрания Си, заклех се на слугата Си Давид:

Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

Ще утвърдя потомството ти до века и ще съградя престола ти за всички поколения. (Села.)

And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

И небесата ще хвалят Твоите чудеса, ГОСПОДИ, и истината Ти — в събранието на светиите.

For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?

Защото кой на небето може да се сравни с ГОСПОДА? Кой сред синовете на могъщите може да се оприличи на ГОСПОДА?

God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

Бог е много страхопочитаем в събранието на светиите и страшен между всички, които са около Него.

O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

ГОСПОДИ, Боже на Войнствата, кой е могъщ като Теб, ГОСПОДИ? Истината Ти Те обкръжава.

Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

Ти владееш гордостта на морето; когато вълните му се надигат, Ти ги укротяваш.

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.

Ти си смачкал Рахав като някой убит, разпръснал си враговете Си с мощната Си ръка.

The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

Твои са небесата, Твоя е и земята; светът и всичко, което го изпълва — Ти си ги основал.

The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

Северът и югът — Ти си ги създал, Тавор и Ермон ликуват в Твоето Име.

Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

Ти имаш мощна ръка, ръката Ти е силна, десницата Ти — възвисена.

Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

Правда и съд са основата на престола Ти, милост и истина ходят пред лицето Ти.

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.

Блажен народът, който познава радостното възклицание! Те ходят в светлината на Твоето лице, ГОСПОДИ.

In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

В Твоето Име ликуват цял ден и чрез Твоята правда се извисяват.

For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

Защото Ти си славата на тяхната сила и с Твоето благоволение се възвишава нашият рог,

For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

понеже на ГОСПОДА е нашият щит и на Светия Израилев — нашият цар.

Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

Тогава Ти говори на светиите Си във видение и каза: Положих помощ върху един силен, възвисих един избран между народа.

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

Намерих слугата Си Давид, със святото Си масло го помазах,

With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

него ще поддържа ръката Ми и мишцата Ми ще го укрепва.

The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

Врагът няма да го притесни, нито синът на неправдата ще го потиска.

And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

Аз ще смажа противниците му пред него и ще поразя онези, които го мразят.

But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

Верността Ми и милостта Ми ще бъдат с него и в Моето Име ще се възвиси рогът му.

I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

И ще поставя ръката му над морето и десницата Му — над реките.

He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

Той ще извика към Мен: Отец си ми, Бог мой и канарата на спасението ми!

Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

Затова и Аз ще го направя първороден, най-горен от земните царе.

My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

Ще запазя вечно милостта Си за него и заветът Ми с него ще остане твърд.

His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

И потомството му ще направя да пребъдва навеки и престола му — като небесните дни.

If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

Ако синовете му оставят закона Ми и не ходят в правилата Ми,

If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

ако нарушат наредбите Ми и не пазят заповедите Ми,

Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

тогава ще накажа с тояга престъпленията им и с бич — беззаконията им,

Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

но няма да отнема от него милостта Си и няма да се отрека от верността Си.

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Няма да оскверня завета Си и няма да променя това, което е излязло от устните Ми.

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

Веднъж се заклех в светостта Си: няма да излъжа Давид!

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.

Потомството му ще пребъде вечно и престолът му — като слънцето пред Мен;

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

ще бъде утвърден до века като луната. Верен е свидетелят в небето. (Села.)

But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

Но Ти си отхвърлил и презрял, разгневил си се против Своя помазаник.

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

Изоставил си завета със слугата Си, опозорил си короната му до земята.

Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.

Повалил си всичките му заграждения, превърнал си крепостите му в развалина.

All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

Разграбват го всички, които минават по пътя, стана за присмех на съседите си.

Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

Възвисил си десницата на враговете му, зарадвал си всичките му неприятели.

Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.

И острието на меча му си обърнал обратно и в битката не си го подкрепил.

Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.

Направил си да изчезне блясъкът му и си свалил на земята престола му.

The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

Съкратил си дните на младостта му, покрил си го със срам. (Села.)

How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

Докога, ГОСПОДИ? Ще се криеш ли навеки? Ще гори ли яростта Ти като огън?

Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?

Помни колко е кратко времето ми, за каква суета си създал всичките човешки синове!

What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

Кой човек ще живее и няма да види смърт? Може ли да избави душата си от властта на Шеол? (Села.)

Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?

Къде са предишните Ти милости, Господи? Ти се закле на Давид в истината Си!

Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;

Помни, Господи, унижението на слугите Си — как нося в пазвата си присмеха на многото народи,

Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

с който враговете Ти, ГОСПОДИ, хулеха, с който хулеха стъпките на Твоя помазаник!

Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

Благословен да е ГОСПОД до века! Амин и амин!
