Psalms 105

105:1
Magasztaljátok az Urat, hívjátok segítségül az ő nevét, hirdessétek a népek között az ő cselekedeteit!
O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
105:2
Énekeljetek néki, zengedezzetek néki, beszéljétek el minden ő csodatételét.
Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
105:3
Dicsekedjetek az ő szent nevével; örvendezzen azoknak a szívök, a kik keresik az Urat.
Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
105:4
Kivánjátok az Urat és az ő erejét; keressétek az ő orczáját szüntelen.
Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
105:5
Emlékezzetek meg az ő csodáiról, a melyeket cselekedett; jeleiről és az ő szájának ítéleteiről.
Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
105:6
Oh Ábrahámnak, az ő szolgájának magva; oh Jákóbnak, az ő választottának fiai!
O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
105:7
Ő, az Úr a mi Istenünk, az egész földre *kihat* az ő ítélete.
He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
105:8
Megemlékezik az ő szövetségéről mindörökké; az ő rendeletéről, a melyet megszabott ezer nemzetségiglen;
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
105:9
A melyet kötött Ábrahámmal, és az ő Izsáknak tett esküvéséről.
Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
105:10
És odaállatta azt Jákóbnak szabályul, Izráelnek örök szövetségül,
And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
105:11
Mondván: Néked adom Kanaán földét, sors szerint való örökségetekül.
Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
105:12
Mikor még csekély számmal valának, igen kevesen és *mintegy *zsellérek abban,
When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
105:13
És egyik nemzettől a másikhoz bujdosának, egyik országból a másik néphez:
When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
105:14
Nem engedé, hogy valaki nyomorgassa őket, sőt királyokat is megfenyített miattok, *mondván:*
He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
105:15
Meg ne illessétek az én felkentjeimet, és az én prófétáimnak ne ártsatok!
Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
105:16
Mikor éhséget idéze elő a földön; *és* a kenyérnek minden botját eltöré,
Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
105:17
Elküldött előttük egy férfiút, Józsefet, a ki rabul adatott vala el;
He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
105:18
A lábait békóba szorították, ő maga vasban járt vala,
Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
105:19
Mindazideig, a míg szava beteljesedett. Az Úr beszéde megpróbálta őt.
Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
105:20
Elküldött a király és feloldotta őt, a népeken uralkodó, és szabaddá tette őt;
The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
105:21
Úrrá tevé őt az ő házán, és uralkodóvá minden jószágán;
He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
105:22
Hogy főembereit tetszése szerint kötöztetheté, és véneit is bölcsességre taníthatá.
To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
105:23
És beméne Izráel Égyiptomba, s Jákób a Khám földén zsellérkedék.
Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
105:24
És igen megszaporítá az ő népét, és erősebbé tevé elnyomóinál.
And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
105:25
Elváltoztatá azoknak szívét, hogy gyűlöljék az ő népét, *és * álnokul cselekedjenek az ő szolgáival.
He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
105:26
Elküldte Mózest, az ő szolgáját, és Áront, a kit választott vala.
He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
105:27
Elvégezék azok között az ő jeleit, és a csodákat a Khám földén.
They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
105:28
Sötétséget bocsátott és elsötétítette *azt, *és azok nem engedetlenkedtek az ő rendeleteinek.
He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
105:29
Vizeiket vérré változtatá, és megölé az ő halaikat.
He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
105:30
Földjük békáktól hemzsege, *még* a királyuk termeiben *is.*
Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
105:31
Szólt, és támadának legyek és szúnyogok minden ő határukon.
He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
105:32
Adott nékik eső gyanánt jégesőt, *és* lángoló tüzet a földjökre.
He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
105:33
És elvevé szőlőjüket és fügefájokat, és széttördelé határuknak élő fáit.
He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
105:34
Szólt és támada sáska, és megszámlálhatatlan cserebogár.
He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
105:35
És megemészte minden növényt az ő földjökön, és az ő szántóföldjöknek gyümölcsét megemészté.
And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
105:36
És megöle minden elsőszülöttet földjökön, minden erejöknek zsengéjét.
He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
105:37
És kihozá őket ezüsttel és arannyal, és nemzetségeikben nem volt beteges.
He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
105:38
Örült Égyiptom, mikor kijövének, mert a tőlök való félelem megszállta őket.
Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
105:39
Felhőt terjeszte ki, hogy befedezze *őket,* és tüzet, hogy világítson éjjel.
He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
105:40
Könyörgött és fürjeket hoza, és mennyei kenyérrel elégítette meg őket.
The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
105:41
Megnyitotta a kősziklát és víz zúdula ki, folyóként futott a sivatagon.
He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
105:42
Mert megemlékezett az ő szentséges igéretéről, a *melyet tőn* Ábrahámnak, az ő szolgájának.
For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
105:43
Kihozá azért az ő népét örömmel, *és* az ő választottait vígassággal.
And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
105:44
És nékik adá a pogányok földét, és öröklék a népek fáradságos szerzeményét.
And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
105:45
Azért, hogy megtartsák az ő rendeleteit, és törvényeit megőrizzék. Dicsérjétek az Urat!
That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
