Psalms 105

Oslavujte Hospodina, ohlašujte jméno jeho, oznamujte mezi národy skutky jeho.

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

Zpívejte jemu, žalmy prozpěvujte jemu, rozmlouvejte o všech divných skutcích jeho.

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

Chlubte se jménem svatým jeho; vesel se srdce těch, kteříž hledají Hospodina.

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

Hledejte Hospodina a síly jeho, hledejte tváři jeho ustavičně.

Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

Rozpomínejte se na divné skutky jeho, kteréž činil, na zázraky jeho a na soudy úst jeho,

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

Símě Abrahamovo, služebníka jeho, synové Jákobovi, vyvolení jeho.

O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

Onť jest Hospodin Bůh náš, na vší zemi soudové jeho.

He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

Pamatuje věčně na smlouvu svou, na slovo, kteréž přikázal až do tisíce pokolení,

He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

Kteréž upevnil s Abrahamem, a na přísahu svou učiněnou Izákovi.

Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

Nebo ji utvrdil Jákobovi za ustanovení, Izraelovi za smlouvu věčnou,

And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

Pravě: Tobě dám zemi Kananejskou za podíl dědictví vašeho,

Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

Ješto jich byl malý počet, malý počet, a ještě v ní byli pohostinu.

When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

Přecházeli zajisté z národu do národu, a z království k jinému lidu.

When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

Nedopustil žádnému ublížiti jim, ano i krále pro ně trestal, řka:

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

Nedotýkejte se pomazaných mých, a prorokům mým nečiňte nic zlého.

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Když přivolav hlad na zemi, všecku hůl chleba polámal,

Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

Poslal před nimi muže znamenitého, jenž za služebníka prodán byl, totiž Jozefa.

He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

Jehož nohy sevřeli pouty, železa podniknouti musil,

Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

Až do toho času, když se zmínka stala o něm; řeč Hospodinova zkusila ho.

Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

Poslav král, propustiti ho rozkázal, panovník lidu svobodna ho učinil.

The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

Ustanovil ho pánem domu svého, a panovníkem všeho vládařství svého,

He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

Aby vládl i knížaty jeho podlé své líbosti, a starce jeho vyučoval moudrosti.

To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

Potom všel Izrael do Egypta, a Jákob pohostinu byl v zemi Chamově.

Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

Kdež rozmnožil Bůh lid svůj náramně, a učinil, aby silnější byl nad nepřátely své.

And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

Změnil mysl těchto, aby v nenávisti měli lid jeho, a aby ukládali lest o služebnících jeho.

He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

I poslal Mojžíše slouhu svého, a Arona, kteréhož vyvolil.

He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

Kteříž předložili jim slova znamení jeho a zázraků v zemi Chamově.

They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

Poslal tmu, a zatmělo se, aniž odporná byla slovu jeho.

He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

Obrátil vody jejich v krev, a zmořil ryby v nich.

He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

Vydala země jejich množství žab, i v pokoleních králů jejich.

Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

Řekl, i přišla směsice žížal, a stěnice na všecky končiny jejich.

He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

Dal místo deště krupobití, oheň hořící na zemi jejich,

He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

Tak že potloukl réví jejich i fíkoví jejich, a zpřerážel dříví v krajině jejich.

He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

Řekl, i přišly kobylky a chroustů nesčíslné množství.

He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

I sežrali všelikou bylinu v krajině jejich, a pojedli úrody země jejich.

And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

Nadto pobil všecko prvorozené v zemi jejich, počátek všeliké síly jejich.

He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

Tedy vyvedl své s stříbrem a zlatem, aniž byl v pokoleních jejich, ješto by se poklesl.

He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

Veselili se Egyptští, když tito vycházeli; nebo byl připadl na ně strach Izraelských.

Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

Roztáhl oblak k zastírání jich, a oheň k osvěcování noci.

He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

K žádosti přivedl křepelky, a chlebem nebeským sytil je.

The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

Otevřel skálu, i tekly vody, a odcházely přes vyprahlá místa jako řeka.

He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

Nebo pamětliv byl na slovo svatosti své, k Abrahamovi služebníku svému mluvené.

For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

Protož vyvedl lid svůj s radostí, s prozpěvováním vyvolené své.

And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

A dal jim země pohanů, a tak úsilí národů dědičně obdrželi,

And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

Aby zachovávali ustanovení jeho, a práv jeho ostříhali. Halelujah.

That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
