Psalms 89

ایتان اِزراحی کا حکمت کا گیت۔ مَیں ابد تک رب کی مہربانیوں کی مدح سرائی کروں گا، پشت در پشت منہ سے تیری وفا کا اعلان کروں گا۔

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

کیونکہ مَیں بولا، ”تیری شفقت ہمیشہ تک قائم ہے، تُو نے اپنی وفا کی مضبوط بنیاد آسمان پر ہی رکھی ہے۔“

For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

تُو نے فرمایا، ”مَیں نے اپنے چنے ہوئے بندے سے عہد باندھا، اپنے خادم داؤد سے قَسم کھا کر وعدہ کیا ہے،

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

’مَیں تیری نسل کو ہمیشہ تک قائم رکھوں گا، تیرا تخت ہمیشہ تک مضبوط رکھوں گا‘۔“ (سِلاہ)

Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

اے رب، آسمان تیرے معجزوں کی ستائش کریں گے، مُقدّسین کی جماعت میں ہی تیری وفاداری کی تمجید کریں گے۔

And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

کیونکہ بادلوں میں کون رب کی مانند ہے؟ الٰہی ہستیوں میں سے کون رب کی مانند ہے؟

For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?

جو بھی مُقدّسین کی مجلس میں شامل ہیں وہ اللہ سے خوف کھاتے ہیں۔ جو بھی اُس کے ارد گرد ہوتے ہیں اُن پر اُس کی عظمت اور رُعب چھایا رہتا ہے۔

God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

اے رب، اے لشکروں کے خدا، کون تیری مانند ہے؟ اے رب، تُو قوی اور اپنی وفا سے گھرا رہتا ہے۔

O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

تُو ٹھاٹھیں مارتے ہوئے سمندر پر حکومت کرتا ہے۔ جب وہ موجزن ہو تو تُو اُسے تھما دیتا ہے۔

Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

تُو نے سمندری اژدہے رہب کو کچل دیا، اور وہ مقتول کی مانند بن گیا۔ اپنے قوی بازو سے تُو نے اپنے دشمنوں کو تتر بتر کر دیا۔

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.

آسمان و زمین تیرے ہی ہیں۔ دنیا اور جو کچھ اُس میں ہے تُو نے قائم کیا۔

The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

تُو نے شمال و جنوب کو خلق کیا۔ تبور اور حرمون تیرے نام کی خوشی میں نعرے لگاتے ہیں۔

The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

تیرا بازو قوی اور تیرا ہاتھ طاقت ور ہے۔ تیرا دہنا ہاتھ عظیم کام کرنے کے لئے تیار ہے۔

Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

راستی اور انصاف تیرے تخت کی بنیاد ہیں۔ شفقت اور وفا تیرے آگے آگے چلتی ہیں۔

Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

مبارک ہے وہ قوم جو تیری خوشی کے نعرے لگا سکے۔ اے رب، وہ تیرے چہرے کے نور میں چلیں گے۔

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.

روزانہ وہ تیرے نام کی خوشی منائیں گے اور تیری راستی سے سرفراز ہوں گے۔

In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

کیونکہ تُو ہی اُن کی طاقت کی شان ہے، اور تُو اپنے کرم سے ہمیں سرفراز کرے گا۔

For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

کیونکہ ہماری ڈھال رب ہی کی ہے، ہمارا بادشاہ اسرائیل کے قدوس ہی کا ہے۔

For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

ماضی میں تُو رویا میں اپنے ایمان داروں سے ہم کلام ہوا۔ اُس وقت تُو نے فرمایا، ”مَیں نے ایک سورمے کو طاقت سے نوازا ہے، قوم میں سے ایک کو چن کر سرفراز کیا ہے۔

Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

مَیں نے اپنے خادم داؤد کو پا لیا اور اُسے اپنے مُقدّس تیل سے مسح کیا ہے۔

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

میرا ہاتھ اُسے قائم رکھے گا، میرا بازو اُسے تقویت دے گا۔

With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

دشمن اُس پر غالب نہیں آئے گا، شریر اُسے خاک میں نہیں ملائیں گے۔

The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

اُس کے آگے آگے مَیں اُس کے دشمنوں کو پاش پاش کروں گا۔ جو اُس سے نفرت رکھتے ہیں اُنہیں زمین پر پٹخ دوں گا۔

And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

میری وفا اور میری شفقت اُس کے ساتھ رہیں گی، میرے نام سے وہ سرفراز ہو گا۔

But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

مَیں اُس کے ہاتھ کو سمندر پر اور اُس کے دہنے ہاتھ کو دریاؤں پر حکومت کرنے دوں گا۔

I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

وہ مجھے پکار کر کہے گا، ’تُو میرا باپ، میرا خدا اور میری نجات کی چٹان ہے۔‘

He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

مَیں اُسے اپنا پہلوٹھا اور دنیا کا سب سے اعلیٰ بادشاہ بناؤں گا۔

Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

مَیں اُسے ہمیشہ تک اپنی شفقت سے نوازتا رہوں گا، میرا اُس کے ساتھ عہد کبھی تمام نہیں ہو گا۔

My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

مَیں اُس کی نسل ہمیشہ تک قائم رکھوں گا، جب تک آسمان قائم ہے اُس کا تخت قائم رکھوں گا۔

His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

اگر اُس کے بیٹے میری شریعت ترک کر کے میرے احکام پر عمل نہ کریں،

If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

اگر وہ میرے فرمانوں کی بےحرمتی کر کے میری ہدایات کے مطابق زندگی نہ گزاریں

If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

تو مَیں لاٹھی لے کر اُن کی تادیب کروں گا اور مہلک وباؤں سے اُن کے گناہوں کی سزا دوں گا۔

Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

لیکن مَیں اُسے اپنی شفقت سے محروم نہیں کروں گا، اپنی وفا کا انکار نہیں کروں گا۔

Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

نہ مَیں اپنے عہد کی بےحرمتی کروں گا، نہ وہ کچھ تبدیل کروں گا جو مَیں نے فرمایا ہے۔

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

مَیں نے ایک بار سدا کے لئے اپنی قدوسیت کی قَسم کھا کر وعدہ کیا ہے، اور مَیں داؤد کو کبھی دھوکا نہیں دوں گا۔

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

اُس کی نسل ابد تک قائم رہے گی، اُس کا تخت آفتاب کی طرح میرے سامنے کھڑا رہے گا۔

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.

چاند کی طرح وہ ہمیشہ تک برقرار رہے گا، اور جو گواہ بادلوں میں ہے وہ وفادار ہے۔“ (سِلاہ)

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

لیکن اب تُو نے اپنے مسح کئے ہوئے خادم کو ٹھکرا کر رد کیا، تُو اُس سے غضب ناک ہو گیا ہے۔

But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

تُو نے اپنے خادم کا عہد نامنظور کیا اور اُس کا تاج خاک میں ملا کر اُس کی بےحرمتی کی ہے۔

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

تُو نے اُس کی تمام فصیلیں ڈھا کر اُس کے قلعوں کو ملبے کے ڈھیر بنا دیا ہے۔

Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.

جو بھی وہاں سے گزرے وہ اُسے لُوٹ لیتا ہے۔ وہ اپنے پڑوسیوں کے لئے مذاق کا نشانہ بن گیا ہے۔

All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

تُو نے اُس کے مخالفوں کا دہنا ہاتھ سرفراز کیا، اُس کے تمام دشمنوں کو خوش کر دیا ہے۔

Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

تُو نے اُس کی تلوار کی تیزی بےاثر کر کے اُسے جنگ میں فتح پانے سے روک دیا ہے۔

Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.

تُو نے اُس کی شان ختم کر کے اُس کا تخت زمین پر پٹخ دیا ہے۔

Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.

تُو نے اُس کی جوانی کے دن مختصر کر کے اُسے رُسوائی کی چادر میں لپیٹا ہے۔ (سِلاہ)

The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

اے رب، کب تک؟ کیا تُو اپنے آپ کو ہمیشہ تک چھپائے رکھے گا؟ کیا تیرا قہر ابد تک آگ کی طرح بھڑکتا رہے گا؟

How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

یاد رہے کہ میری زندگی کتنی مختصر ہے، کہ تُو نے تمام انسان کتنے فانی خلق کئے ہیں۔

Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?

کون ہے جس کا موت سے واسطہ نہ پڑے، کون ہے جو ہمیشہ زندہ رہے؟ کون اپنی جان کو موت کے قبضے سے بچائے رکھ سکتا ہے؟ (سِلاہ)

What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

اے رب، تیری وہ پرانی مہربانیاں کہاں ہیں جن کا وعدہ تُو نے اپنی وفا کی قَسم کھا کر داؤد سے کیا؟

Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?

اے رب، اپنے خادموں کی خجالت یاد کر۔ میرا سینہ متعدد قوموں کی لعن طعن سے دُکھتا ہے،

Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;

کیونکہ اے رب، تیرے دشمنوں نے مجھے لعن طعن کی، اُنہوں نے تیرے مسح کئے ہوئے خادم کو ہر قدم پر لعن طعن کی ہے!

Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

ابد تک رب کی حمد ہو! آمین، پھر آمین۔

Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
