Proverbs 3

Сине мой, не забравяй закона ми и сърцето ти нека пази заповедите ми,

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

защото те ще ти прибавят дългоденствие и години на живот, и мир.

For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Милост и истина да не те оставят — вържи ги около шията си, напиши ги на плочата на сърцето си.

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

Така ще намериш благоволение и благоразумие пред Бога и хората.

So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Уповавай се на ГОСПОДА с цялото си сърце и не се облягай на своя разум.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Във всичките си пътища познавай Него и Той ще прави равни пътеките ти.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Не бъди мъдър в очите си, бой се от ГОСПОДА и се отклонявай от зло.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Това ще бъде изцеление за тялото ти и освежителна влага за костите ти.

It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Почитай ГОСПОДА от имота си и от първите плодове на целия си доход.

Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

Така хамбарите ти ще се изпълнят с изобилие и линовете ти ще преливат с ново вино.

So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Сине мой, не отхвърляй наказанието от ГОСПОДА и да не ти дотяга Неговото изобличение,

My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

защото ГОСПОД изобличава онзи, когото люби, също както бащата — сина, който му е мил.

For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Блажен човекът, който е намерил мъдрост, и човекът, който е придобил разум,

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

защото печалбата от нея е по-добра от печалбата от сребро и добивът от нея — по-добър от чисто злато.

For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

Тя е по-ценна от скъпоценни камъни и нищо, което би пожелал, не се сравнява с нея.

She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

Дългоденствие е в десницата й, а в левицата й — богатства и чест.

Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

Пътищата й са приятни пътища и всичките й пътеки са мир.

Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

Тя е дърво на живот за тези, които се хващат за нея, и блажени са, които я държат.

She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

С мъдрост ГОСПОД основа земята, с разум установи небесата.

The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

Чрез Неговото знание се разтвориха бездните и от облаците капе роса.

By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.

Сине мой, нека тези да не се отдалечават от очите ти, пази здравомислие и разсъдителност

My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

и те ще бъдат живот за душата ти и украшение за шията ти.

So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.

Тогава ще ходиш безопасно в пътя си и кракът ти няма да се спъне.

Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.

Когато лягаш, няма да се страхуваш; да, ще лягаш и сънят ти ще е сладък.

When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

Няма да се боиш от внезапен страх, нито от гибелта на безбожните, когато дойде,

Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

защото ГОСПОД ще бъде твое упование и ще опази крака ти да не се улови.

For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

Не въздържай доброто от онези, които имат нужда от него, когато е във властта на ръката ти да го направиш!

Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

Не казвай на ближния си: Иди и се върни пак, и утре ще ти дам! — когато го имаш при себе си.

Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

Не замисляй зло против ближния си, който с доверие живее при теб.

Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

Не се карай с човек без причина, ако не ти е направил нищо лошо.

Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.

Не завиждай на човек насилник и не избирай нито един от пътищата му,

Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

защото ГОСПОД се гнуси от ходещия по лъжливи пътища, а Неговият доверен съвет е с праведните.

For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.

Проклятието на ГОСПОДА е в дома на безбожния, но Той благославя жилището на праведните.

The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

Ако е за присмивачите — Той им се присмива, а на смирените дава благодат.

Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

Мъдрите ще наследят чест, а безумните ще отнесат срам.

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
