Nầy là các nơi đóng trại của dân Y-sơ-ra-ên khi họ ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô tùy theo các đội ngũ, có Môi-se và A-rôn quản lý.

These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Môi-se vâng mạng Ðức Giê-hô-va chép sự hành trình của dân chúng, tùy theo các nơi đóng trại. Vậy, nầy là các nơi đóng trại tùy theo sự hành trình của họ.

And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

Ngày rằm tháng giêng, tức ngày sau lễ Vượt-qua, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ra đi từ Ram-se, cách dạn dĩ, có mắt của hết thảy người Ê-díp-tô thấy.

And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

Người Ê-díp-tô chôn những kẻ mà Ðức Giê-hô-va đã hành hại giữa bọn mình, tức là hết thảy con đầu lòng: Ðức Giê-hô-va đã đoán xét các thần chúng nó.

For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.

Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đi từ Ram-se đến đóng trại tại Su-cốt;

And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.

rồi đi từ Su-cốt đến đóng trại tại Ê-tam, ở cuối đồng vắng.

And they departed from Succoth, and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

Kế đó, đi từ Ê-tam vòng về hướng Phi-Ha-hi-rốt, đối ngang cùng Ba-anh-Sê-phôn, và đóng trại trước Mít-đôn.

And they removed from Etham, and turned again unto Pi–hahiroth, which is before Baal–zephon: and they pitched before Migdol.

Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên bỏ Phi-Ha-hi-rốt, đi qua giữa biển về hướng đồng vắng đi ba ngày đường ngang đồng vắng Ê-tam, rồi đóng trại tại Ma-ra.

And they departed from before Pi–hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah.

Ðoạn, đi từ Ma-ra đến Ê-lim; vả, tại Ê-lim có mười hai cái suối và bảy chục cây chà-là, bèn đóng trại tại đó.

And they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve fountains of water, and threescore and ten palm trees; and they pitched there.

Dân sự đi từ Ê-lim và đóng trại gần Biển đỏ.

And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.

Ðoạn, di từ Biển đỏ và đóng trại tại đồng vắng Sin.

And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

Ði từ đồng vắng Sin và đóng trại tại Ðáp-ca.

And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

Ði từ Ðáp-ca và đóng trại tại A-lúc.

And they departed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

Ði từ A-lúc và đóng trại tại Rê-phi-đim, là nơi không có nước cho dân sự uống.

And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.

Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đi từ Rê-phi-đim và đóng trại trong đồng vắng Si-na -i.

And they departed from Rephidim, and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.

Kế đó, đi từ đồng vắng Si-na -i và đóng trại tại Kíp-rốt Ha-tha-va.

And they removed from the desert of Sinai, and pitched at Kibroth–hattaavah.

Ði từ Kíp-rốt-Ha-tha-va và đóng trại tại Hát-sê-rốt.

And they departed from Kibroth–hattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.

Ðoạn, đi từ Hát-sê-rốt và đóng trại tại Rít-ma.

And they departed from Hazeroth, and pitched in Rithmah.

Ði từ Rít-ma và đóng trại tại Ri-môn Phê-rết.

And they departed from Rithmah, and pitched at Rimmon–parez.

Ði từ Ri-môn-Phê-rết và đóng trại tại Líp-na.

And they departed from Rimmon–parez, and pitched in Libnah.

Ði từ Líp-na và đóng trại tại Ri-sa.

And they removed from Libnah, and pitched at Rissah.

Kế đó, đi từ Ri-sa và đóng trại tại Kê-hê-la-tha.

And they journeyed from Rissah, and pitched in Kehelathah.

Ði từ Kê-hê-la-tha đóng trại tại núi Sê-phe.

And they went from Kehelathah, and pitched in mount Shapher.

Ði từ núi Sê-phe và đóng trại tại Ha-ra-đa.

And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.

Ði từ Ha-ra-đa và đóng trại tại Mác-hê-lốt.

And they removed from Haradah, and pitched in Makheloth.

Ðoạn, đi từ Mác-hê-lốt và đóng trại tại Ta-hát.

And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.

Ði từ Ta-hát và đóng trại tại Ta-rách.

And they departed from Tahath, and pitched at Tarah.

Ði từ Ta-rách và đóng trại tại Mít-ga.

And they removed from Tarah, and pitched in Mithcah.

Ði từ Mít-ga và đóng trại tại Hách-mô-na.

And they went from Mithcah, and pitched in Hashmonah.

Ði từ Hách-mô-na và đóng trại tại Mô-sê-rốt.

And they departed from Hashmonah, and encamped at Moseroth.

Ði từ Mô-sê-rốt và đóng trại tại Bê-ne-Gia-can.

And they departed from Moseroth, and pitched in Bene–jaakan.

Ði từ Bê-ne-Gia-can và đóng trại tại Hô-Ghi-gát.

And they removed from Bene–jaakan, and encamped at Hor–hagidgad.

Ði từ Hô-Ghi-gát và đóng trại tại Dốt-ba-tha.

And they went from Hor–hagidgad, and pitched in Jotbathah.

Ði từ Dốt-ba-tha và đóng trại tại Áp-rô-na.

And they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Ebronah.

Ðoạn, đi từ Áp-rô-na và đóng trại tại Ê-xi-ôn-Ghê-be.

And they departed from Ebronah, and encamped at Ezion–gaber.

Ði từ Ê-xi-ôn-Ghê-be và đóng trại tại đồng vắng Xin, nghĩa là tại Ca-đe.

And they removed from Ezion–gaber, and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

Kế đó, đi từ Ca-đe và đóng trại tại núi Hô-rơ, ở chót đầu xứ Ê-đôm.

And they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

A-rôn, thầy tế lễ, theo mạng Ðức Giê-hô-va lên trên núi Hô-rơ, rồi qua đời tại đó, nhằm ngày mồng một tháng năm, năm thứ bốn mươi sau khi dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đã ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô.

And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.

Khi A-rôn qua đời trên núi Hô-rơ, người đã được một trăm hai mươi ba tuổi.

And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

Bấy giờ, vua A-rát, là người Ca-na-an, ở miền nam xứ Ca-na-an, hay rằng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đến.

And king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đi từ núi Hô-rơ và đóng trại tại Xa-mô-na.

And they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmonah.

Ði từ Xa-mô-na và đóng trại tại Phu-nôn.

And they departed from Zalmonah, and pitched in Punon.

Ði từ Phu-nôn và đóng trại tại Ô-bốt.

And they departed from Punon, and pitched in Oboth.

Kế đó, đi từ Ô-bốt và đóng trại tại Y-giê-a-ba-rim, trên bờ cõi Mô-áp.

And they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Ije–abarim, in the border of Moab.

Ði từ Y-giê-a-ba-rim và đóng trại tại Ði-bôn-Gát.

And they departed from Iim, and pitched in Dibon–gad.

Ði từ Ði-bôn-Gát và đóng trại tại Anh-môn-Ðíp-la-tha-im.

And they removed from Dibon–gad, and encamped in Almon–diblathaim.

Kế ấy, đi từ Anh-môn-Ðíp-la-tha-im và đóng trại tại núi A-ba-rim trước Nê-bô.

And they removed from Almon–diblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

Ði từ núi A-ba-rim và đóng trại tại đồng bằng Mô-áp gần sông Giô-đanh, đối ngang Giê-ri-cô.

And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đóng trại gần đông Giô-đanh, từ Bết-Giê-si-mốt chi A-bên-Si-tim trong đồng Mô-áp.

And they pitched by Jordan, from Beth–jesimoth even unto Abel–shittim in the plains of Moab.

Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se trong đồng Mô-áp gần sông Giô-đanh, đối ngang Giê-ri-cô, mà rằng:

And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

Hãy truyền cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên mà rằng: Khi nào các ngươi đã đi ngang qua sông Giô-đanh đặng vào xứ Ca-na-an rồi,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

thì phải đuổi hết thảy dân của xứ khỏi trước mặt các ngươi, phá hủy hết thảy hình tượng chạm và hình đúc, cùng đạp đổ các nơi cao của chúng nó.

Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:

Các ngươi sẽ lãnh xứ làm sản nghiệp và ở tại đó; vì ta đã ban xứ cho các ngươi đặng làm cơ nghiệp.

And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.

Phải bắt thăm chia xứ ra tùy theo họ hàng các ngươi. Hễ ai số đông, các ngươi phải cho một sản nghiệp lớn hơn; còn hễ ai số ít, thì phải cho một sản nghiệp nhỏ hơn. Mỗi người sẽ nhận lãnh phần mình bắt thăm được; phải cứ những chi phái tổ phụ các ngươi mà chia xứ ra.

And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.

Còn nếu các ngươi không đuổi dân của xứ khỏi trước mặt mình, thì những kẻ nào trong bọn họ mà các ngươi còn chừa lại, sẽ như gai trong con mắt, và như chông nơi hông các ngươi, chúng nó sẽ theo bắt riết các ngươi tại trong xứ các ngươi ở;

But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

rồi xảy đến ta sẽ hành hại các ngươi khác nào ta đã toan hành hại chúng nó vậy.

Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.
