Proverbs 15

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Ny famaliana mora dia mampianina ny fahatezerana mafy; Fa ny teny maharary mahatonga fahasosorana.

The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.

Ny lelan'ny hendry mampiseho fahalalana tsara; Fa ny vavan'ny adala miboiboika fahadalana.

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Ny mason'i Jehovah amin'izao rehetra izao, Mijery ny ratsy fanahy sy ny tsara fanahy.

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

Ny teny malemy dia hazon'aina; Fa ny vava ratsy mandratra ny fanahy.

A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

Ny adala maniratsira ny famaizan-drainy; Fa izay mitandrina ny fananarana no hita ho hendry.

In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.

Ao an-tranon'ny marina misy harena be; Fa ny fitomboan'ny haren'ny ratsy fanahy dia misy loza.

The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.

Ny molotry ny hendry mampiely fahendrena; Fa tsy mba toy izany ny fon'ny adala.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

Ny fanatitry ny ratsy fanahy dia fahavetavetana eo imason'i Jehovah; Fa ny fivavaky ny marina no sitrany.

The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.

Fahavetavetana eo imason'i Jehovah ny lalan'ny ratsy fanahy; Fa izay fatra-panaraka ny fahamarinana no tiany.

Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

Famaizana mafy no hihatra amin'izay mivily lalana. Eny, izay mankahala anatra dia ho faty.

Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?

Ny fiainan-tsi-hita sy ny fandringanana aza dia miharihary eo anatrehan'i Jehovah, Koa mainka ny fon'ny zanak'olombelona!

A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.

Tsy tian'ny mpaniratsira izay mananatra azy, Ary tsy mety manatona ny hendry izy.

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Ny fo ravoravo mahamiramirana ny tarehy; Fa ny alahelon'ny fo mahareraka ny fanahy.

The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.

Ny fon'ny manan-tsaina mitady fahendrena; Fa ny vavan'ny adala mankamamy ny fahadalana.

All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.

Ratsy avokoa ny andron'ny ory; Fa ny faharavoravoam-po dia fanasana mandrakariva.

Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.

Aleo ny kely misy ny fahatahorana an'i Jehovah Toy izay harena be misy ahiahy.

Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.

Aleo sakafo anana ampian-tsetsetra Toy izay omby mifahy asian-dromoromo.

A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

Izay malaky tezitra manetsika ady; Fa izay mahatsindry fo mampitsahatra fifandirana.

The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.

Ny lalan'ny malaina dia toy ny fefy tsilo Fa ny lalamben'ny marina dia voalamina tsara.

A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.

Ny zanaka hendry mahafaly ny rainy; Fa ny adala manao tsinontsinona an-dreniny.

Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.

Ny fahadalana dia fifalian'ny tsy ampy saina; Fa ny manan-tsaina kosa mizotra mahitsy

Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

Ho foana ny fikasana, raha tsy misy mpisaina; Fa raha maro ny mpanolo-tsaina, dia tanteraka izany.

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

Faly ny olona, raha mahavaly tsara ny vavany, Ary endrey ny hatsaran'ny teny atao amin'izay andro mahamety azy!

The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.

Làlan'aina ho any ambony no alehan'ny hendry, Hanalavirany ny fiainan-tsi-hita any ambany,

The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.

Ravan'i Jehovah ny tranon'ny mpiavonavona; Fa ny fari-tanin'ny mpitondra-tena aoriny mafy.

The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.

Fahavetavetana eo imason'i Jehovah ny hevi-dratsy; Fa madio ny teny mahafinaritra.

He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.

Izay fatra-pila harena dia mampidi-doza amin'ny ankohonany; Fa izay mankahala kolikoly no ho velona.

The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

Ny fon'ny marina mihevitra vao mamaly; Fa ny vavan'ny ratsy fanahy kosa miboiboika faharatsiana.

The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

Jehovah dia lavitra ny ratsy fanahy; Fa ny fivavaky ny marina no henoiny.

The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.

Ny tarehy miramirana mahafaly ny fo; Ary ny filazan-tsoa mamelombelona ny taolana.

The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.

Ny sofina izay mihaino anatra mahavelona Dia miara-mitoetra amin'ny hendry.

He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

Izay mandà anatra dia manary tena; Fa izay mihaino ny fananarana no mahazo fahalalana.

The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

Ny fahatahorana an'i Jehovah dia fananarana mampahahendry; Ary ny fanetren-tena mialoha ny fisandratana.
