Psalms 109

Az éneklőmesternek, Dávidé; zsoltár. Én dicséretemnek Istene, ne hallgass!

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

Mert a gonosznak szája és az álnokságnak szája felnyilt ellenem, hazug nyelvvel beszélnek én velem.

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

És körülvesznek engem gyűlölséges beszédekkel, és ostromolnak engem ok nélkül.

They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

Szeretetemért ellenkeznek velem, én pedig imádkozom.

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

Roszszal fizetnek nékem a jóért, és gyűlölséggel az én szeretetemért.

And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

Állíts fölibe gonoszt, és vádló álljon az ő jobb keze felől.

Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

Mikor törvénykezik, mint gonosz jőjjön ki; még az imádsága is bűnné legyen.

When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

Életének napjai kevesek legyenek, és a hivatalát más foglalja el.

Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

Fiai legyenek árvákká, a felesége pedig özvegygyé.

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

És bujdossanak az ő fiai és kolduljanak, és elpusztult helyeiktől távol keressenek *eledelt.*

Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

Foglalja le minden jószágát az uzsorás, és idegenek ragadozzák el szerzeményét.

Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

Ne legyen néki, a ki kegyelmet mutasson *iránta,* és ne legyen, a ki könyörüljön az ő árváin!

Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

Veszszen ki az ő maradéka; a második nemzedékben töröltessék el a nevök!

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

Atyáinak álnoksága emlékezetben legyen az Úr előtt, és anyjának bűne el ne töröltessék!

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

Mindenkor az Úr előtt legyenek, és emlékezetök is veszszen ki e földről,

Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

A miatt, hogy nem gondolt arra, hogy kegyelmet gyakoroljon és üldözte a szegény és nyomorult embert, és a megkeseredett szívűt, hogy megölje.

Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

Mivelhogy szerette az átkot, azért érte el őt; és mivel nem volt kedve az áldáshoz, azért távozék az el ő tőle.

As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

Úgy öltözte fel az átkot, mint a ruháját, azért ment beléje, mint a víz, és az ő csontjaiba, mint az olaj.

As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

Legyen az néki palástul, a melybe beburkolódzik, és övül, a melylyel mindenkor övezze magát.

Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

Ez legyen jutalmok az Úrtól az én vádolóimnak, és a kik rosszat beszélnek az én lelkemre.

Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

De te, én Uram, Istenem, bánj velem a te nevedért; mivelhogy jó a te kegyelmed, szabadíts meg engem!

But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

Mert szegény és nyomorult vagyok én, még a szívem is megsebesíttetett én bennem.

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

Úgy hanyatlom el, mint az árnyék az ő megnyúlásakor; ide s tova hányattatom, mint a sáska.

I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

Térdeim tántorognak az éhségtől, és testem megfogyatkozott a kövérségtől.

My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

Sőt gyalázatossá lettem előttök; ha látnak engem, fejöket csóválják.

I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

Segíts meg engem, Uram Isten; szabadíts meg engem a te kegyelmed szerint!

Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

Hadd tudják meg, hogy a te kezed *munkája* ez, hogy te cselekedted ezt, Uram!

That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

Átkozzanak ők, de te áldj meg! Feltámadnak, de szégyenüljenek meg és örvendezzen a te szolgád.

Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

Öltözzenek az én vádlóim gyalázatba, és burkolózzanak szégyenökbe, mint egy köpenybe!

Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

Hálát adok az Úrnak felettébb az én számmal, és dicsérem őt a sokaság közepette!

I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

Mert jobb keze felől áll a szegénynek, hogy megszabadítsa azoktól, a kik elítélik annak lelkét.

For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.
