Psalms 109

داؤد کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ اے اللہ میرے فخر، خاموش نہ رہ!

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

کیونکہ اُنہوں نے اپنا بےدین اور فریب دہ منہ میرے خلاف کھول کر جھوٹی زبان سے میرے ساتھ بات کی ہے۔

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

وہ مجھے نفرت کے الفاظ سے گھیر کر بلاوجہ مجھ سے لڑے ہیں۔

They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

میری محبت کے جواب میں وہ مجھ پر اپنی دشمنی کا اظہار کرتے ہیں۔ لیکن دعا ہی میرا سہارا ہے۔

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

میری نیکی کے عوض وہ مجھے نقصان پہنچاتے اور میرے پیار کے بدلے مجھ سے نفرت کرتے ہیں۔

And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

اے اللہ، کسی بےدین کو مقرر کر جو میرے دشمن کے خلاف گواہی دے، کوئی مخالف اُس کے دہنے ہاتھ کھڑا ہو جائے جو اُس پر الزام لگائے۔

Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

مقدمے میں اُسے مجرم ٹھہرایا جائے۔ اُس کی دعائیں بھی اُس کے گناہوں میں شمار کی جائیں۔

When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

اُس کی زندگی مختصر ہو، کوئی اَور اُس کی ذمہ داری اُٹھائے۔

Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

اُس کی اولاد یتیم اور اُس کی بیوی بیوہ بن جائے۔

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

اُس کے بچے آوارہ پھریں اور بھیک مانگنے پر مجبور ہو جائیں۔ اُنہیں اُن کے تباہ شدہ گھروں سے نکل کر اِدھر اُدھر روٹی ڈھونڈنی پڑے۔

Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

جس سے اُس نے قرضہ لیا تھا وہ اُس کے تمام مال پر قبضہ کرے، اور اجنبی اُس کی محنت کا پھل لُوٹ لیں۔

Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

کوئی نہ ہو جو اُس پر مہربانی کرے یا اُس کے یتیموں پر رحم کرے۔

Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

اُس کی اولاد کو مٹایا جائے، اگلی پشت میں اُن کا نام و نشان تک نہ رہے۔

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

رب اُس کے باپ دادا کی ناانصافی کا لحاظ کرے، اور وہ اُس کی ماں کی خطا بھی درگزر نہ کرے۔

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

اُن کا بُرا کردار رب کے سامنے رہے، اور وہ اُن کی یاد رُوئے زمین پر سے مٹا ڈالے۔

Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

کیونکہ اُس کو کبھی مہربانی کرنے کا خیال نہ آیا بلکہ وہ مصیبت زدہ، محتاج اور شکستہ دل کا تعاقب کرتا رہا تاکہ اُسے مار ڈالے۔

Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

اُسے لعنت کرنے کا شوق تھا، چنانچہ لعنت اُسی پر آئے! اُسے برکت دینا پسند نہیں تھا، چنانچہ برکت اُس سے دُور رہے۔

As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

اُس نے لعنت چادر کی طرح اوڑھ لی، چنانچہ لعنت پانی کی طرح اُس کے جسم میں اور تیل کی طرح اُس کی ہڈیوں میں سرایت کر جائے۔

As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

وہ کپڑے کی طرح اُس سے لپٹی رہے، پٹکے کی طرح ہمیشہ اُس سے کمربستہ رہے۔

Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

رب میرے مخالفوں کو اور اُنہیں جو میرے خلاف بُری باتیں کرتے ہیں یہی سزا دے۔

Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

لیکن تُو اے رب قادرِ مطلق، اپنے نام کی خاطر میرے ساتھ مہربانی کا سلوک کر۔ مجھے بچا، کیونکہ تیری ہی شفقت تسلی بخش ہے۔

But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

کیونکہ مَیں مصیبت زدہ اور ضرورت مند ہوں۔ میرا دل میرے اندر مجروح ہے۔

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

شام کے ڈھلتے سائے کی طرح مَیں ختم ہونے والا ہوں۔ مجھے ٹڈی کی طرح جھاڑ کر دُور کر دیا گیا ہے۔

I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

روزہ رکھتے رکھتے میرے گھٹنے ڈگمگانے لگے اور میرا جسم سوکھ گیا ہے۔

My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

مَیں اپنے دشمنوں کے لئے مذاق کا نشانہ بن گیا ہوں۔ مجھے دیکھ کر وہ سر ہلا کر ”توبہ توبہ“ کہتے ہیں۔

I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

اے رب میرے خدا، میری مدد کر! اپنی شفقت کا اظہار کر کے مجھے چھڑا!

Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

اُنہیں پتا چلے کہ یہ تیرے ہاتھ سے پیش آیا ہے، کہ تُو رب ہی نے یہ سب کچھ کیا ہے۔

That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

جب وہ لعنت کریں تو مجھے برکت دے! جب وہ میرے خلاف اُٹھیں تو بخش دے کہ شرمندہ ہو جائیں جبکہ تیرا خادم خوش ہو۔

Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

میرے مخالف رُسوائی سے ملبّس ہو جائیں، اُنہیں شرمندگی کی چادر اوڑھنی پڑے۔

Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

مَیں زور سے رب کی ستائش کروں گا، بہتوں کے درمیان اُس کی حمد کروں گا۔

I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

کیونکہ وہ محتاج کے دہنے ہاتھ کھڑا رہتا ہے تاکہ اُسے اُن سے بچائے جو اُسے مجرم ٹھہراتے ہیں۔

For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.
