Psalms 109

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

Gott meines Lobes, schweige nicht!

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

Denn der Mund des Gesetzlosen und der Mund des Truges haben sich wider mich geöffnet, mit Lügenzunge haben sie zu mir geredet;

They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

Und mit Worten des Hasses haben sie mich umgeben und haben wider mich gestritten ohne Ursache.

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

Für meine Liebe feindeten sie mich an; ich aber bin stets im Gebet.

And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

Und sie haben mir Böses für Gutes erwiesen und Haß für meine Liebe.

Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

Bestelle einen Gesetzlosen über ihn, und ein Widersacher stehe zu seiner Rechten!

When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

Wenn er gerichtet wird, gehe er schuldig aus, und sein Gebet werde zur Sünde!

Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

Seiner Tage seien wenige, sein Amt empfange ein anderer!

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

Seine Söhne seien Waisen, und sein Weib eine Witwe!

Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

Und mögen seine Söhne umherschweifen und betteln und fern von ihren verwüsteten Wohnungen nach Brot suchen!

Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

Der Wucherer umgarne alles, was er hat, und Fremde mögen rauben seine Arbeit!

Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

Er habe niemand, der ihm Güte bewahre, und es sei niemand, der seinen Waisen gnädig sei!

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

Seine Nachkommen mögen ausgerottet werden; im folgenden Geschlecht erlösche ihr Name!

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

Gedacht werde vor Jehova der Ungerechtigkeit seiner Väter, und nicht werde ausgelöscht die Sünde seiner Mutter!

Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

Sie seien beständig vor Jehova, und er rotte ihr Gedächtnis aus von der Erde!

Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

Darum daß er nicht gedachte, Güte zu üben, und verfolgte den elenden und armen Mann, und den, der verzagten Herzens war, um ihn zu töten.

As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

Und er liebte den Fluch, so komme er auf ihn! und er hatte kein Gefallen an Segen, so sei er fern von ihm!

As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

Und er zog den Fluch an wie sein Kleid, so dringe er wie Wasser in sein Inneres und wie Öl in seine Gebeine!

Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

Er sei ihm wie ein Gewand, in das er sich hüllt, und zu einem Gürtel, womit er stets sich gürtet!

Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

Das sei der Lohn meiner Widersacher von seiten Jehovas, und derer, die Böses reden wider meine Seele!

But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

Du aber, Jehova, Herr, wirke für mich um deines Namens willen; weil deine Güte gut ist, errette mich!

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

Denn ich, ich bin elend und arm, und mein Herz ist verwundet in meinem Innern.

I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

Wie ein Schatten, wenn er sich streckt, gehe ich dahin, werde hinweggescheucht wie die Heuschrecke.

My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

Meine Knie wanken vom Fasten, und mein Fleisch ist abgemagert.

I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

Und ich, ich bin ihnen zum Hohn geworden; wenn sie mich sehen, schütteln sie ihren Kopf.

Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

Hilf mir, Jehova, mein Gott! rette mich nach deiner Güte!

That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

Damit sie wissen, daß dies deine Hand ist, daß du, Jehova, es getan hast.

Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

Mögen sie fluchen, du aber segne! Stehen sie auf, so laß sie beschämt werden, und deinen Knecht sich freuen!

Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

Laß meine Widersacher bekleidet werden mit Schande, und in ihre Schmach sich hüllen wie in einen Mantel!

I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

Ich werde Jehova sehr preisen mit meinem Munde, und inmitten vieler werde ich ihn loben.

For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

Denn er stand zur Rechten des Armen, um ihn zu retten von denen, die seine Seele richteten.
