Job 33

Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.
Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.
M' pare pou m' di dènye sa ki vin nan bouch mwen.
My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
M' pral di tou sa ki nan kè m'. Se verite a tou senp mwen pral pale.
The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.
Si ou kapab, w'a reponn mwen. Pare kò ou. Pran pozisyon batay ou avè m'.
Behold, I am according to thy wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.
Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.
Ou wè! Ou pa bezwen pè m'! Mwen pa ka fè ou anyen!
Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,
I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.
Mwen menm, mwen inonsan. M' pa fè ankenn peche! M' pa gen anyen sou konsyans mwen.
Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,
Men, se Bondye ki pretann mwen ba l' jwen pou l' atake m'. Se li menm k'ap aji avè m' tankou si mwen te lènmi l'.
He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.
Li mete de pye m' nan sèp. L'ap veye tou sa m'ap fè.
Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.
Poukisa w'ap chache Bondye kont konsa?
For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
Bondye pale divès jan. Men, pesonn pa okipe sa l'ap di.
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Lè moun kouche nan kabann yo, lè yo fon nan dòmi lannwit, Bondye pale ak yo nan rèv, nan vizyon.
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
Li fè yo konnen sa li gen pou l' di yo. Li ba yo avètisman pou yo mache sou piga yo.
That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
Li vle pou yo kite move chemen y'ap swiv la, pou yo pa kite lògèy vire tèt yo.
He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
Konsa, yo p'ap mouri. Y'a sove lavi yo.
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:
Bondye avèti moun tou lè li voye maladi sou yo. Li ba yo doulè nan tout kò yo.
So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.
Li bay yo degoutans manje. Yo pèdi anvi manje menm lò manje a gou.
His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.
Y'ap depafini, tout moun wè jan y'ap vin mèg. Tout zo nan kò yo griyen.
Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.
Sa ki rete pou yo mouri a, pou y' ale nan peyi san chapo a pa anyen.
If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
Lè sa a, yon zanj Bondye ka vin bò kote l', yonn nan milyonven zanj Bondye yo ki la pou fè moun chonje devwa yo.
Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
Zanj lan va gen pitye pou li. L'a di Bondye: -Tanpri, pa kite l' mouri. M'ap peye pou sove lavi li.
His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:
Kò li va refè, l'a vin fre tankou lè l' te jenn.
He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
Li lapriyè Bondye, Bondye reponn li. li al adore Bondye ak kè kontan. Bondye padonnen l' devan tout moun.
He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
L'ap mache bay Bondye lwanj toupatou. L'ap di: -Mwen te peche, mwen te fè sa ki mal. Men, Bondye pa fè m' peye pou sa m' te fè a.
He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
Li egzante m' lanmò. Li ban m' lavi ankò.
Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
Men tou sa Bondye ap fè, de fwa, twa fwa pou lèzòm,
To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.
pou l' pa kite yo mouri, pou l' ba yo lavi ak kè kontan.
Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.
Koulye a, Jòb, louvri zòrèy ou! Koute byen sa m'ap di! Pe bouch ou la! Kite m' fin pale!
If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee.
Men, si ou gen kichòy ou vle di, pale; m'ap koute ou. Paske mwen ta vle ba ou rezon.
If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
