The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

A synowie Gomerowi: Aschenaz, i Ryfat, i Togorma.

And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

Synowie też Jawanowi: Elisa, i Tarsys, Cytym, i Dodanin.

And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

Synowie Chamowi: Chus i Misraim, Put i Chanaan.

The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

A synowie Chusowi: Seba, i Hewila, i Sabta, i Regma, i Sabtacha; a synowie Regmy: Seba i Dedan.

And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

Spłodził też Chus Neroda; ten począł być możnym na ziemi.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.

Misraim też spłodził Ludyma, i Hananima, i Laubima, i Naftuhyma,

And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

I Patrusyma, i Chasłuchyma, (z których poszli Filistynowie) i Kaftoryma.

And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

Potem Chanaan spłodził Sydona, pierworodnego swego, i Hetejczyka.

And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

I Jebuzejczyka, i Amorejczyka, i Giergiezejczyka,

The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

I Hewejczyka, i Archajczyka, i Symejczyka,

And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

I Aradejczyka, i Samarejczyka, i Chamatejczyka.

And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

Synowie Semowi: Elam, i Assur, i Arfachsad, i Lud, i Aram, i Chus, i Hul, i Gieter, i Mesech.

The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

A Arfachsad spłodził Selecha, a Selech spłodził Hebera.

And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

A Heberowi urodzili się dwaj synowie, z których jednemu imię było Faleg, przeto, że za jego czasów rozdzielona jest ziemia; a imię brata jego Jektan.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

A Jektan spłodził Elmodada, i Salefa, i Hassarmota, i Jarecha,

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

I Adorama, i Uzala, i Dekla,

Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

I Hebala, i Abimaela, i Sebaja,

And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

I Ofira, i Hewila, i Jobaba. Ci wszyscy byli synowie Jektanowi.

And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

Heber, Peleg, Rechu,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.

A synowie Ezawowi: Elifas, Rehuel, i Jehus, i Jelom, i Kore.

The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

A gdy umarł Chusam, królował miasto niego Hadad, syn Badadowy, który poraził Madyjańczyków na polu Moabskiem; a imię miasta jego Hawid.

And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

A gdy umarł Hadad, królował miasto niego Samla z Masreki.

And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

A gdy umarł Samla, królował miasto niego Saul z Rechobot nad rzeką

And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

A gdy umarł Saul, królował miasto niego Balanan, syn Achoborowy.

And when Shaul was dead, Baal–hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

A gdy umarł Balanan, królował miasto niego Hadar; a imię miasta jego Pehu, imię też żony jego Mehetabel, córka Matredy, córki Mezaabowej.

And when Baal–hanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

A gdy umarł Hadar, byli książętami w Edon: książę Tamna, książę Halwa, książę Jetet,

Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

Książę Oolibama, książę Ela, książę Pinon,

Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

Książę Kienaz, książę Teman, książę Mabsar,

Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

Książę Magdyjel, książę Hyram. Toć byli książęta Edomscy.

Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
