Proverbs 21

The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

на царя е като водни потоци в ръката на ГОСПОДА, Той го обръща накъдето иска.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

Всеки път на човека е прав в очите му, но ГОСПОД претегля сърцата.

To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

Да се върши правда и правосъдие е по-угодно на ГОСПОДА отколкото жертва.

An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.

Надменно око и горделиво сърце — светилото на безбожните — е грях.

The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.

Плановете на трудолюбивите водят само до изобилие, а всеки, който е прибързан, идва само до бедност.

The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.

Придобиването на съкровища с лъжлив език е суета, гонена от онези, които търсят смърт.

The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.

Насилието на безбожните ще ги завлече, защото отказват да вършат правдата.

The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.

Пътят на грешния човек е крив, а делото на чистия е право.

It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

По-добре да живееш в ъгъл на тавана, отколкото в къща, споделена със свадлива жена.

The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.

Душата на безбожния желае зло, ближният му не намира милост пред очите му.

When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.

Когато се накаже присмивателят, простият става мъдър и когато се наставлява мъдрият, той придобива знание.

The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.

Праведният наблюдава дома на безбожния и довежда безбожните до унищожение.

Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.

Който запушва ушите си за вика на сиромаха, и той ще викне и няма да бъде чут.

A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.

Тайният дар укротява гняв и подаръкът в пазвата — силна ярост.

It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

Радост е за праведния да върши правда, а ужас е за тези, които вършат беззаконие.

The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

Човек, който се отбива от пътя на разума, ще почива в събранието на мъртвите.

He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

Който обича веселба, ще обеднее, който обича вино и масло, няма да забогатее.

The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.

Безбожният ще бъде откуп за праведния и неверният — на мястото на праведните.

It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

По-добре да живееш в пуста земя, отколкото със свадлива жена и досада.

There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.

Скъпоценно съкровище и масло има в жилището на мъдрия, а безумният човек ги поглъща.

He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.

Който следва правда и милост, ще намери живот, правда и чест.

A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.

Мъдър човек се изкачва в града на силните и събаря крепостта, на която градът се уповава.

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Който пази устата си и езика си, пази душата си от тревоги.

Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

Безочливо надменният — присмивател е името му — действа с безмерна гордост.

The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

Желанието на ленивия го убива, защото ръцете му отказват да работят.

He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

Той жадно желае цял ден, а праведният дава и не му се свиди.

The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?

Жертвата на безбожните е мерзост, а колко повече, когато се принася с лукавство!

A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly.

Лъжлив свидетел ще загине, а човекът, който е чул, ще говори отново и отново.

A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.

Безбожният човек ожесточава лицето си, а праведният изправя пътя си.

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

Няма мъдрост и няма разум, и няма съвет срещу ГОСПОДА.

The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

Конят се приготвя за деня на битката, но победата е от ГОСПОДА.
