Noé, Sém, Khám és Jáfet.

Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Jáfetnek fiai: Gómer, Mágog, Madai, Jáván, Thubál, Mésekh és Thirász.

The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

A Gómer fiai pedig: Askhenáz, Rifáth és Tógármah.

And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

Jávánnak pedig fiai: Elisah, Thársis, Kitthim és Dodánim.

And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

Khámnak fiai: Khús, Miczráim, Pút és Kanaán.

The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

Khúsnak fiai: Széba, Hávilah, Szábthah, Rahmáh és Szabthékah; Rahmáhnak pedig fiai: Séba és Dédán.

And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

Khús nemzé Nimródot is; ez kezde hatalmassá lenni a földön.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.

Miczráim pedig nemzé Lúdimot, Anámimot, Lehábimot és Naftukhimot.

And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

Pathruszimot és Kaszlukhimot, a kiktől a Filiszteusok származtak, és Kafthorimot.

And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

Kanaán pedig nemzé Czídont, az ő elsőszülöttét és Khétet,

And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

És Jebuzeust, Emorreust és Girgazeust.

The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

Khivveust, Harkeust és Szineust.

And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

Arvadeust, Czemareust és Hamatheust.

And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

Sémnek fiai: Élám és Assur, Arpaksád, Lúd, Arám, Úcz, Húl, Gether és Mesek.

The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

Arpaksád pedig nemzé Séláht és Séláh nemzé Hébert.

And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

Hébernek is lett két fia, az egyiknek neve Péleg, mivelhogy az ő idejében osztatott el a föld; testvérének neve pedig Joktán.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

Joktán pedig nemzé Almodádot és Sélefet, Haczarmávethet és Jerákhot,

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

Hadórámot, Úzált és Diklát,

Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

És Ebált, Abimáelt és Sébát,

And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

Ofirt, Havilát és Jóbábot. Ezek mind Joktán fiai.

And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

Sém, Arpaksád, Séláh.

Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

Héber, Péleg, Réu.

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

Sérug, Nákhor, Tháré.

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

Abrám, ez az Ábrahám.

Abram; the same is Abraham.

Ábrahám fiai: Izsák és Ismáel.

The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

Ezeknek nemzetségei pedig ezek: Ismáel elsőszülötte Nebájót és Kédar, Adbeél és Mibszám.

These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

Misma és Dúmah, Massza, Hadad és Théma.

Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

Jétur, Náfis és Kedmah; ezek az Ismáel fiai.

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

Keturának pedig, az Ábrahám ágyasának fiai, kiket szüle, ezek: Zimrán, Joksán, Médán, Midián, Isbák és Suakh. És a Joksán fiai: Séba és Dédán.

Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

És a Midián fiai: Éfah, Héfer, Hánok, Abida és Eldáh. Mindezek a Keturáh fiai.

And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

Ábrahám pedig nemzé Izsákot; Izsák fiai pedig ezek: Ézsau és Izráel.

And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.

Ézsaunak fiai: Elifáz, Réhuél, Jéhus, Jahlám és Korakh.

The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

Elifáz fiai: Thémán, Omár, Czefi, Gahtám, Kenáz és Timna és Amálek.

The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

Réhuél fiai: Nakhath, Zérakh, Samma és Mizza.

The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

Széir fiai: Lótán és Sóbál, Czibhón, Haná, Disón, Eczer és Disán.

And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

Lótán fiai pedig: Hóri és Hómám: Lótánnak huga pedig Timna.

And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.

Sóbál fiai: Alján és Mánakháth, Hébál, Sefi és Onám; Czibhón fiai pedig: Aja és Haná.

The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.

Haná fia: Disón, Disón fiai pedig: Hamrán és Esbán, Ithrán és Kherán.

The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

Eczer fiai: Bilhán és Zahaván, Jakán. Disán fiai: Húcz és Arán.

The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.

Ezek pedig a királyok, a kik uralkodának Edom földén, mielőtt az Izráel fiai között király uralkodott volna: Bela, Behor fia, az ő városának neve Dinhába vala.

Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

*Bela* meghalván, uralkodék helyette Jóbáb, a Boczrából való Zerakh fia.

And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

És hogy Jóbáb meghala, uralkodék helyette a Témán földéből való Khusám.

And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

Meghala Khusám is, és uralkodék helyette Hadád, a Bédád fia, ki megveré a Midiánitákat a Moáb mezején; és az ő városának neve Hávit vala.

And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

Hadád is, hogy meghala, uralkodék helyette a Masrekából való Szamlá.

And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

Szamlá holta után uralkodék helyette Saul, a folyóvíz mellett való Rékhobóthból.

And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

Saul is meghala, és uralkodék helyette Báhál-Khanán, az Akhbór fia.

And when Shaul was dead, Baal–hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

Báhál-Khanán holta után uralkodék helyette Hadád; és az ő városának neve Páhi, feleségének pedig neve Mehetábéel, ki Mézaháb leányának Matrédnak volt a leánya.

And when Baal–hanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

Hadád halála után Edom fejedelmei valának: Timná fejedelem, Halvá fejedelem, Jetéth fejedelem,

Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

Ohólibámá fejedelem, Éla fejedelem és Pinon fejedelem,

Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

Kenáz fejedelem, Témán fejedelem és Mibczár fejedelem,

Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

Magdiél fejedelem és Hirám fejedelem. Ezek voltak Edom fejedelmei.

Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
