Matthew 22

И Иисус пак започна да им говори с притчи, като казваше:

And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

Небесното царство прилича на един цар, който направи сватба на сина си.

The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

Той разпрати слугите си да повикат поканените на сватбата, но те не искаха да дойдат.

And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Пак изпрати други слуги, като им каза: Кажете на поканените: Ето, приготвих обяда си: юнците ми и угоените ми са заклани и всичко е готово; елате на сватбата!

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Но те пренебрегнаха поканата и се разотидоха: един на своята нива, а друг – по търговията си;

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

а останалите хванаха слугите му и безсрамно ги оскърбиха и убиха.

And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

А царят се разгневи, изпрати войските си и погуби онези убийци, и изгори града им.

But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Тогава каза на слугите си: Сватбата е готова, но поканените не бяха достойни.

Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

Затова идете по кръстопътищата и колкото намерите, ги поканете на сватба.

Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

И така, онези слуги излязоха по пътищата, събраха всички, които намериха – зли и добри – и сватбата се напълни с гости.

So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

А царят, като влезе да прегледа гостите, видя там един човек, който не беше облечен в сватбарска дреха.

And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

И му каза: Приятелю, ти как си влязъл тук, без да имаш сватбарска дреха? А той мълчеше.

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

Тогава царят каза на служителите: Вържете му краката и ръцете и го хвърлете във външната тъмнина; там ще бъде плач и скърцане със зъби.

Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Защото мнозина са призвани, а малцина – избрани.

For many are called, but few are chosen.

Тогава фарисеите отидоха и се съветваха как да Го впримчат в говоренето Му.

Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.

И пратиха при Него учениците си заедно с иродианите да кажат: Учителю, знаем, че си искрен, учиш в истина Божия път и не Те е грижа от никого, защото не гледаш на лицето на хората.

And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

Затова ни кажи: Ти как мислиш? Позволено ли е да даваме данък на императора, или не?

Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

А Иисус разбра лукавството им и каза: Защо Ме изпитвате, лицемери?

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

Покажете Ми данъчната монета. И те Му донесоха един динарий.

Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.

И Той им каза: Чий е този образ и надпис?

And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

Отговориха Му: На императора. Тогава Той им каза: Като е така, отдавайте императорското на императора, а Божието – на Бога.

They say unto him, Cæsar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

Като чуха това, те се учудиха и като Го оставиха, си отидоха.

When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

В същия ден дойдоха при Него садукеи, които казват, че няма възкресение, и Го попитаха, като казаха:

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

Учителю, Мойсей е казал: Ако някой умре бездетен, брат му да се ожени за жена му и да създаде потомство на брат си.

Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

А между нас имаше седем братя; и първият се ожени и умря, и като нямаше потомство, остави жена си на брат си;

Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

също и вторият, и третият – до седмия.

Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

А след всички умря и жената.

And last of all the woman died also.

И така, при възкресението на кого от седемте ще бъде жена? Защото те всичките я имаха.

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

А Иисус в отговор им каза: Заблуждавате се, като не познавате Писанията, нито Божията сила.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Защото във възкресението нито се женят, нито се омъжват, а са като (Божии) ангели на небето.

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

А за възкресението на мъртвите не сте ли чели онова, което ви е говорено от Бога, който казва:

But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

?Аз съм Бог Авраамов, Бог Исааков и Бог Яковов“? Той не е Бог на мъртвите, а на живите.

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

И множествата, които чуха това, се чудеха на учението Му.

And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

А фарисеите, като чуха, че накарал садукеите да замълчат, се събраха заедно.

But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

И един от тях, законник, за да Го изпита, Му зададе въпрос:

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

Учителю, коя е най-голямата заповед в закона?

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

А Той му каза: ?Да възлюбиш Господа, твоя Бог, с цялото си сърце, с цялата си душа и с целия си ум.“

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Това е най-голямата и първа заповед.

This is the first and great commandment.

А втора, подобна на нея, е тази: ?Да възлюбиш ближния си както себе си.“

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

На тези две заповеди висят целият закон и пророците.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

И когато бяха събрани фарисеите, Иисус ги попита, казвайки:

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

Какво мислите за Христос? Чий Син е Той? Отговориха Му: Давидов.

Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.

Каза им: Тогава как Давид чрез Духа Го нарича Господ, като казва:

He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

?Каза Господ на моя Господ: Седи от дясната Ми страна, докато положа враговете Ти под краката Ти“?

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

И така, ако Давид Го нарича Господ, как тогава Той е негов Син?

If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

И никой не можеше да Му отговори нито дума; нито пък дръзна вече някой от този ден да Му задава въпроси.

And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
