Psalms 37

داؤد کا زبور۔ شریروں کے باعث بےچین نہ ہو جا، بدکاروں پر رشک نہ کر۔

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

کیونکہ وہ گھاس کی طرح جلد ہی مُرجھا جائیں گے، ہریالی کی طرح جلد ہی سوکھ جائیں گے۔

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

رب پر بھروسا رکھ کر بھلائی کر، ملک میں رہ کر وفاداری کی پرورش کر۔

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

رب سے لطف اندوز ہو تو جو تیرا دل چاہے وہ تجھے دے گا۔

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

اپنی راہ رب کے سپرد کر۔ اُس پر بھروسا رکھ تو وہ تجھے کامیابی بخشے گا۔

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

تب وہ تیری راست بازی سورج کی طرح طلوع ہونے دے گا اور تیرا انصاف دوپہر کی روشنی کی طرح چمکنے دے گا۔

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

رب کے حضور چپ ہو کر صبر سے اُس کا انتظار کر۔ بےقرار نہ ہو اگر سازشیں کرنے والا کامیاب ہو۔

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

خفا ہونے سے باز آ، غصے کو چھوڑ دے۔ رنجیدہ نہ ہو، ورنہ بُرا ہی نتیجہ نکلے گا۔

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

کیونکہ شریر مٹ جائیں گے جبکہ رب سے اُمید رکھنے والے ملک کو میراث میں پائیں گے۔

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

مزید تھوڑی دیر صبر کر تو بےدین کا نام و نشان مٹ جائے گا۔ تُو اُس کا کھوج لگائے گا، لیکن کہیں نہیں پائے گا۔

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

لیکن حلیم ملک کو میراث میں پا کر بڑے امن اور سکون سے لطف اندوز ہوں گے۔

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

بےشک بےدین دانت پیس پیس کر راست باز کے خلاف سازشیں کرتا رہے۔

The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

لیکن رب اُس پر ہنستا ہے، کیونکہ وہ جانتا ہے کہ اُس کا انجام قریب ہی ہے۔

The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

بےدینوں نے تلوار کو کھینچا اور کمان کو تان لیا ہے تاکہ ناچاروں اور ضرورت مندوں کو گرا دیں اور سیدھی راہ پر چلنے والوں کو قتل کریں۔

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

لیکن اُن کی تلوار اُن کے اپنے دل میں گھونپی جائے گی، اُن کی کمان ٹوٹ جائے گی۔

Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

راست باز کو جو تھوڑا بہت حاصل ہے وہ بہت بےدینوں کی دولت سے بہتر ہے۔

A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

کیونکہ بےدینوں کا بازو ٹوٹ جائے گا جبکہ رب راست بازوں کو سنبھالتا ہے۔

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

رب بےالزاموں کے دن جانتا ہے، اور اُن کی موروثی ملکیت ہمیشہ کے لئے قائم رہے گی۔

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

مصیبت کے وقت وہ شرم سار نہیں ہوں گے، کال بھی پڑے تو سیر ہوں گے۔

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

لیکن بےدین ہلاک ہو جائیں گے، اور رب کے دشمن چراگاہوں کی شان کی طرح نیست ہو جائیں گے، دھوئیں کی طرح غائب ہو جائیں گے۔

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

بےدین قرض لیتا اور اُسے نہیں اُتارتا، لیکن راست باز مہربان ہے اور فیاضی سے دیتا ہے۔

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

کیونکہ جنہیں رب برکت دے وہ ملک کو میراث میں پائیں گے، لیکن جن پر وہ لعنت بھیجے اُن کا نام و نشان تک نہیں رہے گا۔

For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

اگر کسی کے پاؤں جم جائیں تو یہ رب کی طرف سے ہے۔ ایسے شخص کی راہ کو وہ پسند کرتا ہے۔

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

اگر گر بھی جائے تو پڑا نہیں رہے گا، کیونکہ رب اُس کے ہاتھ کا سہارا بنا رہے گا۔

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

مَیں جوان تھا اور اب بوڑھا ہو گیا ہوں۔ لیکن مَیں نے کبھی نہیں دیکھا کہ راست باز کو ترک کیا گیا یا اُس کے بچوں کو بھیک مانگنی پڑی۔

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

وہ ہمیشہ مہربان اور قرض دینے کے لئے تیار ہے۔ اُس کی اولاد برکت کا باعث ہو گی۔

He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

بُرائی سے باز آ کر بھلائی کر۔ تب تُو ہمیشہ کے لئے ملک میں آباد رہے گا،

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

کیونکہ رب کو انصاف پیارا ہے، اور وہ اپنے ایمان داروں کو کبھی ترک نہیں کرے گا۔ وہ ابد تک محفوظ رہیں گے جبکہ بےدینوں کی اولاد کا نام و نشان تک نہیں رہے گا۔

For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

راست باز ملک کو میراث میں پا کر اُس میں ہمیشہ بسیں گے۔

The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

راست باز کا منہ حکمت بیان کرتا اور اُس کی زبان سے انصاف نکلتا ہے۔

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

اللہ کی شریعت اُس کے دل میں ہے، اور اُس کے قدم کبھی نہیں ڈگمگائیں گے۔

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

بےدین راست باز کی تاک میں بیٹھ کر اُسے مار ڈالنے کا موقع ڈھونڈتا ہے۔

The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

لیکن رب راست باز کو اُس کے ہاتھ میں نہیں چھوڑے گا، وہ اُسے عدالت میں مجرم نہیں ٹھہرنے دے گا۔

The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

رب کے انتظار میں رہ اور اُس کی راہ پر چلتا رہ۔ تب وہ تجھے سرفراز کر کے ملک کا وارث بنائے گا، اور تُو بےدینوں کی ہلاکت دیکھے گا۔

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

مَیں نے ایک بےدین اور ظالم آدمی کو دیکھا جو پھلتے پھولتے دیودار کے درخت کی طرح آسمان سے باتیں کرنے لگا۔

I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

لیکن تھوڑی دیر کے بعد جب مَیں دوبارہ وہاں سے گزرا تو وہ تھا نہیں۔ مَیں نے اُس کا کھوج لگایا، لیکن کہیں نہ ملا۔

Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

بےالزام پر دھیان دے اور دیانت دار پر غور کر، کیونکہ آخرکار اُسے امن اور سکون حاصل ہو گا۔

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

لیکن مجرم مل کر تباہ ہو جائیں گے، اور بےدینوں کو آخرکار رُوئے زمین پر سے مٹایا جائے گا۔

But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

راست بازوں کی نجات رب کی طرف سے ہے، مصیبت کے وقت وہی اُن کا قلعہ ہے۔

But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

رب ہی اُن کی مدد کر کے اُنہیں چھٹکارا دے گا، وہی اُنہیں بےدینوں سے بچا کر نجات دے گا۔ کیونکہ اُنہوں نے اُس میں پناہ لی ہے۔

And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
