Proverbs 29

He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

Човек, който често е изобличаван, но остава твърдоглав, ще бъде съкрушен внезапно, и то без изцеление.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Когато праведните се умножават, народът се радва, но когато безбожен управлява, народът стене.

Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.

Човек, който обича мъдростта, радва баща си, а който дружи с блудници, разпилява имота му.

The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.

Царят утвърждава страната чрез правосъдие, а подкупният я съсипва.

A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.

Човек, който ласкае ближния си, простира мрежа пред стъпките му.

In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.

В престъплението на злия има примка, а праведният се радва и се весели.

The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

Праведният е загрижен за правото на бедните, а безбожният не се грижи да знае.

Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.

Присмивачите подпалват града, а мъдрите отклоняват гнева.

If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

Ако мъдър човек се съди с безумен човек, той се сърди и се смее, и няма покой.

The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

Кръвожадните мъже мразят невинния, а праведните се грижат за живота му.

A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

Безумният изригва цялото си недоволство, а мъдрият накрая го успокоява.

If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.

Владетел, който слуша лъжливи думи, всичките му служители са безбожни.

The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes.

Бедният и потисникът се срещат — ГОСПОД дава светлина на очите и на двамата.

The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.

Цар, който съди нищите с истина, престолът му ще бъде утвърден навеки.

The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Пръчката и изобличението дават мъдрост, а дете, оставено без грижа, засрамва майка си.

When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.

Когато безбожните се умножават, престъплението се умножава, но праведните ще видят падането им.

Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

Поправяй сина си, и той ще ти даде спокойствие, ще даде наслада на душата ти.

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Където няма видение, народът се покварява, а блажен онзи, който пази закона.

A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.

Слуга няма да се поправи само с думи, защото разбира, но няма да откликне.

Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Виждаш ли човек, прибързан в думите си? Има повече надежда за безумния, отколкото за него.

He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.

Който глези слугата си от детинство, най-накрая той ще стане като син.

An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.

Гневлив човек възбужда препирни и избухлив човек изобилства в престъпление.

A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

Гордостта на човека ще го унижи, а смиреният ще придобие чест.

Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.

Който е съдружник с крадец, мрази живота си — чува клетвата, но не разкрива.

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Страхът от човека слага примка, но който се уповава на ГОСПОДА, ще бъде в безопасност.

Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the LORD.

Мнозина търсят лицето на владетеля, но съдът за човека е от ГОСПОДА.

An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

Неправедният е мерзост за праведните, а правият в пътя си е мерзост за безбожните.
