Job 34

Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

Тогава Елиу продължи и каза:

Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

Чуйте думите ми, вие, мъдри, слушайте ме, вие, знаещи,

For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.

защото ухото изпитва думи, както небцето вкусва храна.

Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

Нека правото си изберем, нека знаем помежду си доброто.

For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.

Защото Йов каза: Аз съм праведен, но правото ми Бог отне.

Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.

Против правото си съм считан за лъжец. Раната ми е неизлечима, без да имам престъпление.

What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?

Кой човек е като Йов, който пие презрение като вода,

Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

който дружи с онези, които вършат грях, и ходи с безбожни мъже?

For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

Защото той каза: Нищо не ползва човека да е благоугоден на Бога.

Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

Затова слушайте ме, вие, разумни мъже! Далеч да бъде зло от Бога и беззаконие от Всемогъщия!

For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

Защото Той въздава на човека според делото му и прави всеки да намери според пътя си.

Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

Наистина Бог няма да извърши беззаконие, нито Всемогъщият ще изкриви съда.

Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?

Кой земята Му е поверил и наредил е цялата вселена?

If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

Ако Той обърне сърцето Си само към Себе Си и в Себе Си оттегли Своя Дух и Своето дихание,

All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

всички създания заедно ще издъхнат и човекът ще се върне във пръстта.

If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

Но ако разбираш, чуй това, гласа на думите ми слушай:

Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?

Ще властва ли онзи, който мрази съда? И ще изкараш ли виновен Праведния и Могъщия,

Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

който казва на цар: Негоден си. — и на княз: Беззаконник. —

How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

който пристрастие към първенци не показва, нито зачита богатия повече от бедния, понеже всички те са дело на ръцете Му!

In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

В един миг умират, посред нощ, народ се развълнува и те преминават, и мощните се вземат, не с ръка.

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

Защото Неговите очи са върху пътищата на човека и Той вижда всичките му стъпки.

There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Няма тъмнина и няма смъртна сянка, където да се скрият онези, които вършат грях.

For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

Понеже Той няма нужда да подлага на изпитание човека, за да отиде той на съд пред Бога.

He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

Той строшава силни без изследване, на тяхно място слага други,

Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

защото Той делата им познава и ги събаря нощем, и се стриват.

He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

Поразява ги като безбожните, на видно място,

Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:

понеже се отклониха от Него и не зачетоха ни един от пътищата Му,

So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

и направиха да стигне викът на бедните до Него и Той да чуе вика на наскърбените.

When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:

Ако Той успокоява, кой може да смути? И ако крие лицето Си, кой може да Го види — било то за народ или за сам човек —

That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

за да не царува лицемер и да не става примка за народа.

Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:

Казал ли е някой на Бога: Понесох наказание, и вече няма да греша;

That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

научи ме на това, което аз не виждам; ако съм извършил беззаконие, няма да го върша вече?

Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

Трябва ли Той да отплаща според твоето мнение, защото ти отхвърляш отплатата Му — защото трябва ти да избереш, не аз — затова говори, каквото знаеш.

Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.

Разумни мъже ще ми кажат и мъдър човек, който ме чува:

Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.

Йов не говори със знание и думите му са лишени от разум.

My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

Желая Йов да бъде изпитан докрай, защото отговаря като грешните хора.

For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.

Защото към греха си той прибавя бунт, пляска с ръце между нас и умножава думите си против Бога.
