Job 35

Elihu spake moreover, and said,

Тогава Елиу продължи и каза:

Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?

Смяташ ли това за право? Ти казваш: Моята правда е по-голяма от Божията.

For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

Защото ти питаш какво ще те ползва: Какво ще спечеля, че не съм съгрешил?

I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.

Аз ще ти отговоря, и на приятелите ти с теб:

Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

Погледни към небето и виж, гледай облаците — колко по-високи са от теб!

If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

Ако съгрешаваш, какво вършиш против Него? Ако престъпленията ти се умножават, какво на Него правиш?

If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?

Ако си праведен, какво Му даваш? Или какво получава Той от твоята ръка?

Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

Безбожието ти засяга само човек като теб и правдата ти — само човешки син.

By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.

Поради множеството угнетения викат страдащите, викат за помощ поради ръката на могъщите.

But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

Но никой не казва: Къде е Бог, моят Създател, който дава песни в нощта,

Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

който ни учи повече от зверовете земни и ни прави по-мъдри от птиците небесни?

There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

Там те викат, но Той не отговаря заради гордостта на злите.

Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

Наистина Бог няма да послуша празнословие и Всемогъщият няма да го зачете.

Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

Въпреки че казваш, че не можеш да Го видиш, пак правосъдието е пред Него, и на Него се уповавай.

But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:

И сега, понеже не е наказал в гнева Си, не знае ли Той за надменността?

Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.

Затова Йов отваря устата си напразно и трупа думи без знание.
