Job 34

फिर एलीहू ने बात को जारी रखते हुये कहा:

Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

“अरे ओ विवेकी पुरुषों तुम ध्यान से सुनो जो बातें मैं कहता हूँ। अरे ओ चतुर लोगों, मुझ पर ध्यान दो।

Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

कान उन सब को परखता है जिनको वह सुनता है, ऐसे ही जीभ जिस खाने को छूती है, उसका स्वाद पता करती है।

For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.

सो आओ इस परिस्थिति को परखें और स्वयं निर्णय करें की उचित क्या है। हम साथ साथ सीखेंगे की क्या खरा है।

Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

अय्यूब ने कहा: ‘मैं निर्दोष हूँ, किन्तु परमेश्वर मेरे लिये निष्पक्ष नहीं है।

For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.

मैं अच्छा हूँ लेकिन लोग सोचते हैं कि मैं बुरा हूँ। वे सोचते हैं कि मैं एक झूठा हूँ और चाहे मैं निर्दोंष भी होऊँ फिर भी मेरा घाव नहीं भर सकता।’

Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.

“अय्यूब के जैसा कोई भी व्यक्ति नहीं है जिसका मुख परमेश्वर की निन्दा से भरा रहता है।

What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?

अय्यूब बुरे लोगों का साथी है और अय्यूब को बुरे लोगों की संगत भाती है।

Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

क्योंकि अय्यूब कहता है ‘यदि कोई व्यक्ति परमेश्वर की आज्ञा मानने का जतन करता है तो इससे उस व्यक्ति का कुछ भी भला न होगा।’

For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

“अरे ओं लोगों जो समझ सकते हो, तो मेरी बात सुनो, परमेश्वर कभी भी बुरा नहीं करता है। सर्वशक्तिशाली परमेश्वर कभी भी बुरा नहीं करेगा।

Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

परमेश्वर व्यक्ति को उसके किये कर्मो का फल देगा। वह लोगों को जो मिलना चाहिये देगा।

For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

यह सत्य है परमेश्वर कभी बुरा नहीं करता है। सर्वशक्तिशाली परमेश्वर सदा निष्पक्ष रहेगा।

Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

परमेश्वर सर्वशक्तिशाली है, धरती का अधिकारी, उसे किसी व्यक्ति ने नहीं बनाया। किसी भी व्यक्ति ने उसे इस समूचे जगत का उत्तरदायित्व नहीं दिया।

Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?

यदि परमेश्वर निश्चय कर लेता कि लोगों से आत्मा और प्राण ले ले,

If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

तो धरती के सभी व्यक्ति मर जाते, फिर सभी लोग मिट्टी बन जाते।

All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

“यदि तुम लोग विवेकी हो तो तुम उसे सुनोगे जिसे मैं कहता हूँ।

If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

कोई ऐसा व्यक्ति जो न्याय से घृणा रखता है शासक नहीं बन सकता। अय्यूब, तू क्या सोचता है, क्या तू उस उत्तम और सुदृढ़ परमेश्वर को दोषी ठहरा सकता है

Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?

केवल परमेश्वर ऐसा है जो राजाओं से कहा करता है कि ‘तुम बेकार के हो।’ परमेश्वर मुखियों से कहा करता है कि ‘तुम दुष्ट हो।’

Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

परमेश्वर प्रमुखों से अन्य व्यक्तियों की अपेक्षा अधिक प्रेम नहीं करता, और परमेश्वर धनिकों की अपेक्षा गरीबों से अधिक प्रेम नहीं करता है। क्योंकि सभी परमेश्वर ने रचा है।

How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

सम्भव है रात में कोई व्यक्ति मर जाये, परमेश्वर बहुत शीघ्र ही लोगों को रोगी करता है और वे प्राण त्याग देते हैं। परमेश्वर बिना किसी जतन के शक्तिशाली लोगों को उठा ले जाता है, और कोई भी व्यक्ति उन लोगों को मदद नहीं दे सकता है।

In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

“व्यक्ति जो करता है परमेश्वर उसे देखता है। व्यक्ति जो भी चरण उठाता है परमेश्वर उसे जानता है।

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

कोई जगह अंधेरे से भरी हुई नहीं है, और कोई जगह ऐसी नहीं है जहाँ इतना अंधेरा हो कि कोई भी दुष्ट व्यक्ति अपने को परमेश्वर से छिपा पाये।

There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

किसी व्यक्ति के लिये यह उचित नहीं है कि वह परमेश्वर से न्यायालय में मिलने का समय निश्चित करे।

For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

परमेश्वर को प्रश्नों के पूछने की आवश्यकता नहीं, किन्तु परमेश्वर बलशालियों को नष्ट करेगा और उनके स्थान पर किसी और को बैठायेगा।

He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

सो परमेश्वर जानता है कि लोग क्या करते हैं। इसलिये परमेश्वर रात में दुष्टों को हरायेगा, और उन्हें नष्ट कर देगा।

Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

परमेश्वर बुरे लोगों को उनके बुरे कर्मो के कारण नष्ट कर देगा और बुरे व्यक्ति के दण्ड को वह सब को देखने देगा।

He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

क्योंकि बुरे व्यक्ति ने परमेश्वर की आज्ञा मानना छोड़ दिया और वे बुरे व्यक्ति परवाह नहीं करते हैं उन कामों को करने की जिनको परमेश्वर चाहता है।

Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:

उन बुरे लोगों ने गरीबों को दु:ख दिया और उनको विवश किया परमेश्वर को सहायता हेतू पुकारने को। गरीब सहायता के लिये पुकारता है, तो परमेश्वर उसकी सुनता है।

So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

किन्तु यदि परमेश्वर ने गरीब की सहायता न करने का निर्णय लिया तो कोई व्यक्ति परमेश्वर को दोषी नहीं ठहरा सकता है। यदि परमेश्वर उनसे मुख मोड़ता है तो कोई भी उस को नहीं पा सकता है। परमेश्वर जातियों और समूची मानवता पर शासन करता है।

When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:

तो फिर एक ऐसा व्यक्ति है जो परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध है और लोगों को छलता है, तो परमेश्वर उसे राजा बनने नहीं दे सकता है।

That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

“सम्भव है कि कोई परमेश्वर से कहे कि मैं अपराधी हूँ और फिर मैं पाप नहीं करूँगा।

Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:

हे परमेश्वर, तू मुझे वे बातें सिखा जो मैं नहीं जानता हूँ। यदि मैंने कुछ बुरा किया तो फिर, मैं उसको नहीं करूँगा।

That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

किन्तु अय्यूब, जब तू बदलने को मना करता है, तो क्या परमेश्वर तुझे वैसा प्रतिफल दे, जैसा प्रतिफल तू चाहता है? यह तेरा निर्णय है यह मेरा नहीं है। तू ही बता कि तू क्या सोचता है?

Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

कोई भी व्यक्ति जिसमें विवेक है और जो समझता है वह मेरे साथ सहमत होगा। कोई भी विवेकी जन जो मेरी सुनता, वह कहेगा,

Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.

अय्यूब, अबोध व्यक्ति के जैसी बातें करता है, जो बाते अय्यूब करता है उनमें कोई तथ्य नहीं।

Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.

मेरी यह इच्छा है कि अय्यूब को परखने को और भी अधिक कष्ट दिये जाये। क्यों? क्योंकि अय्यूब हमें ऐसा उत्तर देता है, जैसा कोई दुष्ट जन उत्तर देता हो।

My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

अय्यूब पाप पर पाप किए जाता है और उस पर उसने बगावत की। तुम्हारे ही सामने वह परमेश्वर को बहुत बहुत बोल कर कलंकित करता रहता है!”

For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
