Proverbs 10

Притчите на Соломон: Мъдър син радва баща си, а глупав син е тъга за майка си.

The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

Съкровища от неправда нищо не ползват, а правдата избавя от смърт.

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

ГОСПОД няма да остави да гладува душата на праведния, но отхвърля алчността на безбожните.

The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

Който работи с немарлива ръка, ще обеднее, а ръката на трудолюбивия обогатява.

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

Който събира лятно време, е разумен син, а който спи в жетва, е син, който докарва срам.

He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

Благословения почиват на главата на праведния, а насилие ще скрие устата на безбожните.

Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

Споменът на праведния е благословен, а името на безбожните ще изгние.

The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

Мъдрият по сърце ще приеме заповеди, а бъбривият глупак ще падне.

The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

Който ходи непорочно, ходи безопасно, а който изкривява пътищата си, ще се познае.

He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

Който намига с око, докарва скръб, и бъбривият глупак ще падне.

He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.

Устата на праведния е извор на живот, а насилие ще скрие устата на безбожните.

The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

Омразата предизвиква раздори, а любовта покрива всички провинения.

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

В устните на разумния се намира мъдрост, а тоягата е за гърба на лишения от ум.

In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

Мъдрите съхраняват знание, а устата на безумния е близка гибел.

Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

Имотът на богатия е неговият укрепен град, съсипия за бедните е тяхната бедност.

The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

Приходът на праведния е за живот, доходът на злия е за грях.

The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

Който внимава в поука, е в пътеката към живот, а който отхвърля изобличението, се заблуждава.

He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

Който крие омраза, има лъжливи устни и който разгласява клевета, е безумен.

He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

В многословието грехът е неизбежен, а който въздържа устните си, е разумен.

In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

Езикът на праведния е избрано сребро, сърцето на безбожните не струва нищо.

The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

Устните на праведния пасат мнозина, а безумните умират от липса на разум.

The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

Благословението на ГОСПОДА обогатява и ГОСПОД не прибавя към него скръб.

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Злодейството е като забавление за безумния, така е и мъдростта за разумния човек.

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

Това, от което се страхува безбожният, ще го постигне, а желанието на праведните ще се изпълни.

The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

Щом вихрушката отмине, и безбожния го няма, а праведният има вечна основа.

As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

Както оцет за зъбите и дим за очите, така е ленивият за онези, които го изпращат.

As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

Страхът от ГОСПОДА умножава дни, а годините на безбожните ще се скъсят.

The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

Надеждата на праведните е радост, а очакването на безбожните ще загине.

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

Пътят на ГОСПОДА е крепост за непорочния и съсипия за онези, които вършат неправда.

The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

Праведният няма да се поклати до века, а безбожните няма да обитават земята.

The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

От устата на праведния блика мъдрост, а лъжливият език ще се отсече.

The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

Устните на праведния познават благоугодното, а устата на безбожните — лъжливото.

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
