Proverbs 11

Δολια πλαστιγξ βδελυγμα εις τον Κυριον δικαιον δε ζυγιον ευαρεστησις αυτου.

A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

Οπου εισελθη υπερηφανια, εισερχεται και καταισχυνη η δε σοφια ειναι μετα των ταπεινων.

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

Η ακεραιοτης των ευθεων θελει οδηγει αυτους η δε υπουλοτης των σκολιων θελει απολεσει αυτους.

The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

Τα πλουτη δεν ωφελουσιν εν ημερα οργης η δε δικαιοσυνη ελευθερονει εκ θανατου.

Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

Η δικαιοσυνη του ακεραιου θελει ορθοτομησει την οδον αυτου ο δε ασεβης θελει πεσει δια της ασεβειας αυτου.

The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

Η δικαιοσυνη των ευθεων θελει ελευθερωσει αυτους οι δε παραβαται θελουσι συλληφθη εν τη κακια αυτων.

The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

Οταν ο ασεβης ανθρωπος αποθνησκη, η ελπις αυτου απολλυται απολλυται και η προσδοκια των ανομων.

When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

Ο δικαιος ελευθερονεται εκ της θλιψεως, αντ αυτου δε εισερχεται ο ασεβης.

The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

Ο υποκριτης δια του στοματος αφανιζει τον πλησιον αυτου αλλ οι δικαιοι θελουσιν ελευθερωθη δια της γνωσεως.

An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

Εις την ευοδωσιν των δικαιων η πολις ευφραινεται και εις τον ολεθρον των ασεβων αγαλλεται.

When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

Δια της ευλογιας των ευθεων υψονεται πολις δια του στοματος δε των ασεβων καταστρεφεται.

By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

Ο ενδεης φρενων περιφρονει τον πλησιον αυτου ο δε φρονιμος ανθρωπος σιωπα.

He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

Ο σπερμολογος περιερχεται αποκαλυπτων τα μυστικα ο δε την ψυχην πιστος κρυπτει το πραγμα.

A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

Οπου δεν ειναι κυβερνησις, ο λαος πιπτει εκ του πληθους δε των συμβουλων προερχεται σωτηρια.

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Οστις εγγυαται δι αλλον, θελει παθει κακον και οστις μισει την εγγυησιν, ειναι ασφαλης.

He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.

Η ευκοσμος γυνη απολαμβανει τιμην οι δε καρτερικοι απολαμβανουσι πλουτη.

A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

Ο ελεημων ανθρωπος αγαθοποιει την ψυχην αυτου ο δε ανελεημων θλιβει την σαρκα αυτου.

The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

Ο ασεβης εργαζεται εργον ψευδες εις δε τον σπειροντα δικαιοσυνην θελει εισθαι μισθος ασφαλης.

The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

Καθως η δικαιοσυνη τεινει εις ζωην, ουτως ο κυνηγων το κακον τρεχει εις τον θανατον αυτου.

As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

Οι διεστραμμενοι την καρδιαν ειναι βδελυγμα εις τον Κυριον αλλ οι αμεμπτοι την οδον ειναι δεκτοι εις αυτον.

They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

Και χειρ με χειρα εαν συναπτηται, ο ασεβης δεν θελει μενει ατιμωρητος το δε σπερμα των δικαιων θελει ελευθερωθη.

Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

Ως ερρινον χρυσουν εις χοιρου μυτην, ουτω γυνη ωραια χωρις φρονησεως.

As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

Η επιθυμια των δικαιων ειναι μονον το καλον η προσδοκια δε των ασεβων οργη.

The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

Οι μεν σκορπιζουσι, και ομως περισσευονται οι δε παρα το δεον φειδονται, και ομως ερχονται εις ενδειαν.

There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

Η αγαθοποιος ψυχη θελει παχυνθη και οστις ποτιζει, θελει ποτισθη και αυτος.

The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Οστις κρατει σιτον, θελει εισθαι λαοκαταρατος ευλογια δε θελει εισθαι επι την κεφαλην του πωλουντος.

He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

Οστις προθυμειται εις το καλον, θελει απολαυσει χαριν αλλ οστις ζητει το κακον, θελει επελθει επ αυτον.

He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

Οστις ελπιζει επι τον πλουτον αυτου, ουτος θελει πεσει οι δε δικαιοι ως βλαστος θελουσιν ανθησει.

He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

Οστις ταραττει τον οικον αυτου, θελει κληρονομησει ανεμον και ο αφρων θελει εισθαι δουλος εις τον φρονιμον.

He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

Ο καρπος του δικαιου ειναι δενδρον ζωης και οστις κερδιζει ψυχας, ειναι σοφος.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Αν ο δικαιος παιδευηται επι της γης, πολλω μαλλον ο ασεβης και ο αμαρτωλος.

Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
