Proverbs 8

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

Izali mądrość nie woła, i roztropność nie wydaje głosu swego?

She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

Na wierzchu wysokich miejsc, przy drodze i na rozstaniu dróg stoi.

She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

U bram, kędy się chodzi do miasta, i w wejściu u drzwi woła, mówiąc:

Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

Na was wołam, o mężowie! a głos mój obracam do synów ludzkich.

O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Zrozumijcie prostacy ostrożność, a głupi zrozumijcie sercem.

Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

Słuchajcie; bo o wielkich rzeczach będę mówił, a otworzenie warg moich opowie szczerość.

For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

Zaisteć prawdę mówią usta moje, a niezbożność obrzydliwością jest wargom moim.

All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

Sprawiedliwe są wszystkie słowa ust moich; nie masz w nich nic nieprawego ani przewrotnego.

They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

Wszystkie są prawe rozumnemu, a uprzejme tym, którzy znajdują umiejętność.

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

Przyjmijcież ćwiczenie moje, a nie srebro, a umiejętność raczej, niż złoto wyborne.

For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

Albowiem lepsza jest mądrość niż perły, także wszystkie pożądane rzeczy nie porównają z nią.

I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

Ja mądrość mieszkam z roztropnością,i umiejętność ostrożności wynajduję.

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Bojaźń Pańska jest, mieć w nienawiści złe. Ja nienawidzę pychy, wysokomyślności, i drogi złej, i ust przewrotnych.

Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

Przy mnie jest rada, i prawdziwa mądrość; jam jest roztropność, a moc jest moja.

By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

Przez mię królowie królują, i książęta stanowią sprawiedliwość.

By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

Przez mię książęta panują, i wielmożnymi są wszyscy sędziowie ziemi.

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Ja miłuję tych, którzy mię miłują; a którzy mię szukają rano, znajdują mię.

Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

Bogactwo i sława przy mnie jest; majętność trwała i sprawiedliwość.

My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

Lepszy jest owoc mój, niż złoto, i niż najkosztowniejsze złoto, a dochody moje lepsze, niż srebro wyborne.

I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

Prowadzę ścieszką sprawiedliwości, pośrodkiem ścieżek sądu,

That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

Abym tym, którzy mię miłują, dała w dziedzictwo majętność wieczną, i skarby ich napełniła.

The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

Pan mię miał przy początku drogi swej, przed sprawami swemi, przed wszystkiemi czasy.

I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

Przed wieki jestem zrządzona, przed początkiem; pierwej niż była ziemia;

When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

Gdy jeszcze nie było przepaści, spłodzonam jest, gdy jeszcze nie było źródeł opływających wodami.

Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

Pierwej niż góry założone były, niż były pagórki, spłodzonam jest.

While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

Jeszcze był nie uczynił ziemi, i równin, ani początku prochu okręgu ziemskiego.

When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

Gdy gotował niebiosa, tamem była; gdy rozmierzał okrągłość nad przepaściami;

When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

Gdy utwierdzał obłoki w górze, i umacniał źródła przepaści;

When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Gdy zakładał morzu granice jego, i wodom, aby nie przestępowały rozkazania jego; gdy rozmierzał grunty ziemi:

Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

Tedym była u niego jako wychowaniec, i byłam uciechą jego na każdy dzień, grając przed nim na każdy czas.

Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

Gram na okręgu ziemi jego, a rozkoszy moje, mieszkać z synami ludzkimi.

Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.

Słuchajcież mię tedy teraz, synowie! albowiem błogosławieni, którzy strzegą dróg moich.

Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Słuchajcie ćwiczenia, nabądźcie rozumu, a nie cofajcie się.

Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

Błogosławiony człowiek, który mię słucha, czując u wrót moich na każdy dzień, a strzegąc podwoi drzwi moich.

For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

Bo kto mię znajduje, znajduje żywot, a otrzymuje łaskę od Pana.

But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Ale kto grzeszy przeciwko mnie, krzywdę czyni duszy swojej; wszyscy, którzy mię nienawidzą, miłują śmierć.
