Psalms 103

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Davidov. Blagoslivljaj Jahvu, dušo moja, i sve što je u meni, sveto ime njegovo!

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Blagoslivljaj Jahvu, dušo moja, i ne zaboravi dobročinstva njegova:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

on ti otpušta sve grijehe tvoje, on iscjeljuje sve slabosti tvoje;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

on ti od propasti čuva život, kruni te dobrotom i ljubavlju;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

život ti ispunja dobrima, k'o orlu ti se mladost obnavlja.

The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

Jahve čini pravedna djela i potlačenima vraća pravicu,

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

Mojsiju objavi putove svoje, sinovima Izraelovim djela svoja.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

Milosrdan i milostiv je Jahve, spor na srdžbu i vrlo dobrostiv.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

Jarostan nije za vječna vremena niti dovijeka plamti srdžba njegova.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

Ne postupa s nama po grijesima našim niti nam plaća po našim krivnjama.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

Jer kako je nebo visoko nad zemljom, dobrota je njegova s onima koji ga se boje.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Kako je istok daleko od zapada, tako udaljuje od nas bezakonja naša.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Kako se otac smiluje dječici, tako se Jahve smiluje onima što ga se boje.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Jer dobro zna kako smo sazdani, spominje se da smo prašina.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

Dani su čovjekovi kao sijeno, cvate k'o cvijetak na njivi;

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

jedva ga dotakne vjetar, i već ga nema, ne pamti ga više ni mjesto njegovo.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

Al' ljubav Jahvina vječna je nad onima što ga se boje i njegova pravda nad sinovima sinova,

To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

nad onima što njegov Savez čuvaju i pamte mu zapovijedi da ih izvrše.

The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Jahve u nebu postavi prijestolje svoje, i kraljevska vlast svemir mu obuhvaća.

Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Blagoslivljajte Jahvu, svi anđeli njegovi, vi jaki u sili, što izvršujete naredbe njegove, poslušni riječi njegovoj!

Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

Blagoslivljajte Jahvu, sve vojske njegove, sluge njegove koje činite volju njegovu!

Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Blagoslivljajte Jahvu, sva djela njegova, na svakome mjestu vlasti njegove: blagoslivljaj Jahvu, dušo moja!
