Proverbs 5

My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:

Сине мой, внимавай в мъдростта ми, приклони ухото си към разума ми,

That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

за да запазиш разсъдливост и устните ти да пазят знание.

For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

Защото от устните на чуждата жена капе мед и говорът й е по-мек от маслинено масло,

But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.

но последствията й са горчиви като пелин, остри като двуостър меч.

Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

Краката й слизат в смъртта, стъпките й водят към Шеол.

Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

За да не разсъдиш за пътя на живота, пътищата й са непостоянни, и ти не ги знаеш.

Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

И така, синове, слушайте ме и не отстъпвайте от думите на устата ми.

Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

Отдалечи пътя си от нея и не се приближавай до вратата на къщата й,

Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

за да не дадеш честта си на други и годините си на жестокия;

Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;

да не се наситят чужди с имота ти и трудовете ти да отидат в дома на чужденец;

And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

а ти да стенеш в края си, когато плътта ти и тялото ти излинеят,

And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

и да казваш: Как намразих поучението и сърцето ми презря изобличението,

And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

и не послушах гласа на учителите си и не приклоних ухото си към наставниците си!

I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.

Без малко щях да изпадна във всяко зло сред събранието и обществото.

Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.

Пий вода от своята си щерна и която извира от твоя си кладенец.

Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.

Навън ще се изливат изворите ти, водните потоци — по улиците.

Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.

Нека бъдат само твои, а не и на чужди заедно с теб.

Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

Да бъде благословен твоят извор и весели се с жената на младостта си —

Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

любяща кошута и изящна сърна — нека нейните гърди те опиват по всяко време и винаги се възхищавай от нейната любов.

And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

И защо, сине мой, да се възхищаваш от чужда и да прегръщаш обятията на чужда?

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.

Защото пътищата на човека са пред очите на ГОСПОДА и Той измерва всичките му пътеки.

His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

Безбожният ще бъде уловен от своите си беззакония и ще бъде държан с въжетата на своя грях.

He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

Той ще умре от липса на поука и в голямото си безумие ще се заблуди.
