I Chronicles 2

Questi sono i figliuoli d’Israele: Ruben, Simeone, Levi, Giuda, Issacar e Zabulon;

These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

Dan, Giuseppe, Beniamino, Neftali, Gad e Ascer.

Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

Figliuoli di Giuda: Er, Onan e Scela; questi tre gli nacquero dalla figliuola di Shua, la Cananea. Er, primogenito di Giuda, era perverso agli occhi dell’Eterno, e l’Eterno lo fece morire.

The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him.

Tamar, nuora di Giuda, gli partorì Perets e Zerach. Totale dei figliuoli di Giuda: cinque.

And Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

Figliuoli di Perets: Hetsron e Hamul.

The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.

Figliuoli di Zerach: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol e Dara: in tutto, cinque.

And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.

Figliuoli di Carmi: Acan che conturbò Israele quando commise una infedeltà riguardo all’interdetto.

And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.

Figliuoli di Ethan: Azaria.

And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.

Figliuoli che nacquero a Hetsron: Jerahmeel, Ram e Kelubai.

The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

Ram generò Amminadab; Amminadab generò Nahshon, principe dei figliuoli di Giuda;

And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

e Nahshon generò Salma; e Salma generò Boaz. Boaz generò Obed.

And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

Obed generò Isai.

And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

Isai generò Eliab, suo primogenito, Abinadab il secondo, Scimea il terzo,

And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,

Nethaneel il quarto, Raddai il quinto,

Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

Otsem il sesto, Davide il settimo.

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:

Le loro sorelle erano Tseruia ed Abigail. Figliuoli di Tseruia: Abishai, Joab ed Asael: tre.

Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

Abigail partorì Amasa, il cui padre fu Jether, l’Ismaelita.

And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.

Caleb figliuolo di Hetsron, ebbe dei figliuoli da Azuba sua moglie, e da Jerioth. Questi sono i figliuoli che ebbe da Azuba: Jescer, Shobab e Ardon.

And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

Azuba morì e Caleb sposò Efrath, che gli partorì Hur.

And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur.

Hur generò Uri, e Uri generò Betsaleel.

And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

Poi Hetsron prese la figliuola di Makir, padre di Galaad; egli avea sessant’anni quando la sposò; ed essa gli partorì Segub.

And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.

Segub generò Jair, che ebbe ventitre città nel paese di Galaad.

And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.

I Gheshuriti e i Siri presero loro le borgate di Jair, Kenath e i villaggi che ne dipendevano, sessanta città. Tutti cotesti erano figliuoli di Makir, padre di Galaad.

And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

Dopo la morte di Hetsron, avvenuta a Caleb-Efratha, Abiah, moglie di Hetsron, gli partorì Ashhur padre di Tekoa.

And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb–ephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

I figliuoli di Jerahmeel, primogenito di Hetsron, furono: Ram, il primogenito, Buna, Oren ed Otsem, nati da Ahija.

And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.

Jerahmeel ebbe un’altra moglie, di nome Atara, che fu madre di Onam.

Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

I figliuoli di Ram, primogenito di Jerahmeel, furono: Maats, Jamin ed Eker.

And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

I figliuoli di Onam furono: Shammai e Jada. Figliuoli di Shammai: Nadab e Abishur.

And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.

La moglie di Abishur si chiamava Abihail, che gli partorì Ahban e Molid.

And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.

Figliuoli di Nadab: Seled e Appaim. Seled morì senza figliuoli.

And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.

Figliuoli di Appaim: Jscei. Figliuoli di Jscei: Sceshan. Figliuoli di Sceshan: Ahlai.

And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.

Figliuoli di Jada, fratello di Shammai: Jether e Jonathan. Jether morì senza figliuoli.

And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.

Figliuoli di Jonathan: Peleth e Zaza. Questi sono i figliuoli di Jerahmeel.

And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

Sceshan non ebbe figliuoli, ma sì delle figlie. Sceshan aveva uno schiavo egiziano per nome Jarha.

Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.

E Sceshan diede la sua figliuola per moglie a Jarha, suo schiavo; ed essa gli partorì Attai.

And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.

Attai generò Nathan; Nathan generò Zabad;

And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

Zabad generò Efial; Efial generò Obed;

And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

Obed generò Jehu; Jehu generò Azaria;

And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

Azaria generò Helets; Helets generò Elasa;

And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

Elasa generò Sismai; Sismai generò Shallum;

And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,

Shallum generò Jekamia e Jekamia generò Elishama.

And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

Figliuoli di Caleb, fratello di Jerahmeel: Mesha, suo primogenito che fu padre di Zif, e i figliuoli di Maresha, che fu padre di Hebron.

Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

Figliuoli di Hebron: Kora, Tappuah, Rekem e Scema.

And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

Scema generò Raham, padre di Jorkeam, Rekem generò Shammai.

And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.

Il figliuolo di Shammai fu Maon; e Maon fu il padre di Beth-Tsur.

And the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Beth–zur.

Efa, concubina di Caleb, partorì Haran, Motsa e Gazez. Haran generò Gazez.

And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez.

Figliuoli di Jahdai: Reghem, Jotham, Gheshan, Pelet, Efa e Shaaf.

And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

Maaca, concubina di Caleb, partorì Sceber e Tirhana.

Maachah, Caleb's concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah.

Partorì anche Shaaf, padre di Madmanna, Sceva, padre di Macbena e padre di Ghibea. La figliuola di Caleb era Acsa.

She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

Questi furono i figliuoli di Caleb: Ben-Hur, primogenito di Efrata, Shobal, padre di Kiriath-Jearim;

These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim,

Salma, padre di Bethlehem; Haref, padre di Beth-Gader.

Salma the father of Beth–lehem, Hareph the father of Beth–gader.

Shobal, padre di Kiriath-Jearim, ebbe per discendenti: Haroe, e la metà di Menuhoth.

And Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites.

Le famiglie di Kiriath-Jearim furono: gli Ithrei, i Puthei, gli Shumatei e i Mishraei; dalle quali famiglie derivarono gli Tsorathiti e gli Eshtaoliti.

And the families of Kirjath–jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.

Figliuoli di Salma: Bethlehem e i Netofatei, Atroth-Beth-Joab, la metà dei Manahatei, gli Tsoriti.

The sons of Salma; Beth–lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.

E le famiglie di scribi che abitavano a Jabets: i Tirathei, gli Scimeathei, i Sucathei. Questi sono i Kenei discesi da Hammath, padre della casa di Recab.

And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
