Job 36

وَعَادَ أَلِيهُو فَقَالَ:

Elihu also proceeded, and said,

«اصْبِرْ عَلَيَّ قَلِيلاً، فَأُبْدِيَ لَكَ أَنَّهُ بَعْدُ لأَجْلِ اللهِ كَلاَمٌ.

Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf.

أَحْمِلُ مَعْرِفَتِي مِنْ بَعِيدٍ، وَأَنْسُبُ بِرًّا لِصَانِعِي.

I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

حَقًّا لاَ يَكْذِبُ كَلاَمِي. صَحِيحُ الْمَعْرِفَةِ عِنْدَكَ.

For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

«هُوَذَا اللهُ عَزِيزٌ، وَلكِنَّهُ لاَ يَرْذُلُ أَحَدًا. عَزِيزُ قُدْرَةِ الْقَلْبِ.

Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

لاَ يُحْيي الشِّرِّيرَ، بَلْ يُجْرِي قَضَاءَ الْبَائِسِينَ.

He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.

لاَ يُحَوِّلُ عَيْنَيْهِ عَنِ الْبَارِّ، بَلْ مَعَ الْمُلُوكِ يُجْلِسُهُمْ عَلَى الْكُرْسِيِّ أَبَدًا، فَيَرْتَفِعُونَ.

He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

إِنْ أُوثِقُوا بِالْقُيُودِ، إِنْ أُخِذُوا فِي حِبَالَهِ الذُّلِّ،

And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;

فَيُظْهِرُ لَهُمْ أَفْعَالَهُمْ وَمَعَاصِيَهُمْ، لأَنَّهُمْ تَجَبَّرُوا،

Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

وَيَفْتَحُ آذَانَهُمْ لِلإِنْذَارِ، وَيَأْمُرُ بِأَنْ يَرْجِعُوا عَنِ الإِثْمِ.

He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

إِنْ سَمِعُوا وَأَطَاعُوا قَضَوْا أَيَّامَهُمْ بِالْخَيْرِ وَسِنِيهِمْ بِالنِّعَمِ.

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

وَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعُوا، فَبِحَرْبَةِ الْمَوْتِ يَزُولُونَ، وَيَمُوتُونَ بِعَدَمِ الْمَعْرِفَةِ.

But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

أَمَّا فُجَّارُ الْقَلْبِ فَيَذْخَرُونَ غَضَبًا. لاَ يَسْتَغِيثُونَ إِذَا هُوَ قَيَّدَهُمْ.

But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

تَمُوتُ نَفْسُهُمْ فِي الصِّبَا وَحَيَاتُهُمْ بَيْنَ الْمَأْبُونِينَ.

They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.

يُنَجِّي الْبَائِسَ فِي ذِلِّهِ، وَيَفْتَحُ آذَانَهُمْ فِي الضِّيقِ.

He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

«وَأَيْضًا يَقُودُكَ مِنْ وَجْهِ الضِّيقِ إِلَى رَحْبٍ لاَ حَصْرَ فِيهِ، وَيَمْلأُ مَؤُونَةَ مَائِدَتِكَ دُهْنًا.

Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.

حُجَّةَ الشِّرِّيرِ أَكْمَلْتَ، فَالْحُجَّةُ وَالْقَضَاءُ يُمْسِكَانِكَ.

But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.

عِنْدَ غَضَبِهِ لَعَلَّهُ يَقُودُكَ بِصَفْقَةٍ. فَكَثْرَةُ الْفِدْيَةِ لاَ تَفُكُّكَ.

Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

هَلْ يَعْتَبِرُ غِنَاكَ؟ لاَ التِّبْرَ وَلاَ جَمِيعَ قُوَى الثَّرْوَةِ!

Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

لاَ تَشْتَاقُ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ الَّذِي يَرْفَعُ شُعُوبًا مِنْ مَوَاضِعِهِمْ.

Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

اِحْذَرْ. لاَ تَلْتَفِتْ إِلَى الإِثْمِ لأَنَّكَ اخْتَرْتَ هذَا عَلَى الذِّلِّ.

Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

«هُوَذَا اللهُ يَتَعَالَى بِقُدْرَتِهِ. مَنْ مِثْلُهُ مُعَلِّمًا؟

Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

مَنْ فَرَضَ عَلَيْهِ طَرِيقَهُ، أَوْ مَنْ يَقُولُ لَهُ: قَدْ فَعَلْتَ شَرًّا؟

Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?

اُذْكُرْ أَنْ تُعَظِّمَ عَمَلَهُ الَّذِي يُغَنِّي بِهِ النَّاسُ.

Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ يُبْصِرُ بِهِ. النَّاسُ يَنْظُرُونَهُ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ.

Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.

هُوَذَا اللهُ عَظِيمٌ وَلاَ نَعْرِفُهُ وَعَدَدُ سِنِيهِ لاَ يُفْحَصُ.

Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

لأَنَّهُ يَجْذُبُ قِطَارَ الْمَاءِ. تَسُحُّ مَطَرًا مِنْ ضَبَابِهَا

For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:

الَّذِي تَهْطِلُهُ السُّحُبُ وَتَقْطُرُهُ عَلَى أُنَاسٍ كَثِيرِينَ.

Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.

فَهَلْ يُعَلِّلُ أَحَدٌ عَنْ شَقِّ الْغَيْمِ أَوْ قَصِيفِ مِظَلَّتِهِ؟

Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?

هُوَذَا بَسَطَ نُورَهُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ، ثُمَّ يَتَغَطَّى بِأُصُولِ الْيَمِّ.

Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.

لأَنَّهُ بِهذِهِ يَدِينُ الشُّعُوبَ، وَيَرْزِقُ الْقُوتَ بِكَثْرَةٍ.

For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

يُغَطِّي كَفَّيْهِ بِالنُّورِ، وَيَأْمُرُهُ عَلَى الْعَدُوِّ.

With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.

يُخْبِرُ بِهِ رَعْدُه، الْمَوَاشِيَ أَيْضًا بِصُعُودِهِ.

The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.
