I Chronicles 8

Benjamin var far til Bela, som var hans førstefødte, Asbel, som var hans annen sønn, og Akrah, den tredje,

Now Benjamin begat Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third,

And the sons of Bela were, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,

And Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah,

og Gera og Sefufan og Huram.

And Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.

And these are the sons of Ehud: these are the heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Geba, and they removed them to Manahath:

og Je'us og Sokja og Mirma; dette var hans sønner; de var familiehoder.

And Jeuz, and Shachia, and Mirma. These were his sons, heads of the fathers.

Med Husim fikk han Abitub og Elpa'al.

And of Hushim he begat Abitub, and Elpaal.

Og Elpa'als sønner var Eber og Mis'am og Semer - han bygget Ono og Lod med tilhørende byer -

The sons of Elpaal; Eber, and Misham, and Shamed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof:

og Beria og Sema; de var familiehodene blandt Ajalons innbyggere; de drev Gats innbyggere på flukt.

Beriah also, and Shema, who were heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who drove away the inhabitants of Gath:

Ahjo, Sasak og Jeremot

og Adaja og Beraja og Simrat var Sime'is sønner.

And Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, the sons of Shimhi;

Og Jispan og Eber og Eliel

And Ishpan, and Heber, and Eliel,

og Abdon og Sikri og Hanan

And Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan,

og Hananja og Elam og Antotija

And Hananiah, and Elam, and Antothijah,

og Jifdeja og Pniel var Sasaks sønner.

And Iphedeiah, and Penuel, the sons of Shashak;

Og Samserai og Seharja og Atalja

And Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah,

og Ja'aresja og Elia og Sikri var Jerohams sønner.

And Jaresiah, and Eliah, and Zichri, the sons of Jeroham.

Alle disse var familiehoder, hoder for sine ætter; de bodde i Jerusalem.

These were heads of the fathers, by their generations, chief men. These dwelt in Jerusalem.

I Gibeon bodde Gibeons far; hans hustru hette Ma'aka.

And at Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon; whose wife's name was Maachah:

Og hans førstefødte sønn var Abdon; så var det Sur og Kis og Ba'al og Nadab

And his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,

og Gedor og Ahjo og Seker.

And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zacher.

Og Miklot fikk sønnen Simea. Også disse bodde midt imot sine brødre i Jerusalem, sammen med sine brødre.

And Mikloth begat Shimeah. And these also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against them.

Og Ner fikk sønnen Kis, og Kis var far til Saul, og Saul fikk sønnene Jonatan og Malkisua og Abinadab og Esba'al.

And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchi–shua, and Abinadab, and Esh–baal.

Og Jonatans sønn var Meribba'al, og Meribba'al fikk sønnen Mika.

And the son of Jonathan was Merib–baal; and Merib–baal begat Micah.

Og Mikas sønner var Piton og Melek og Tarea og Akas.

And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.

Og Akas fikk sønnen Joadda, og Joadda fikk Alemet og Asmavet og Simri, og Simri fikk Mosa.

And Ahaz begat Jehoadah; and Jehoadah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza,

Og Mosa fikk sønnen Bina hans sønn var Rafa; hans sønn Elasa hans sønn Asel.

And Moza begat Binea: Rapha was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son:

Og Asel hadde seks sønner, og dette var deres navn: Asrikam, Bokeru og Ismael og Searja og Obadja og Hanan; alle disse var sønner av Asel.

And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

Og hans bror Eseks sønner var Ulam, hans førstefødte, Je'us, den annen, og Elifelet, den tredje.

And the sons of Eshek his brother were, Ulam his firstborn, Jehush the second, and Eliphelet the third.

Ulams sønner var veldige stridsmenn, dyktige bueskyttere; de hadde mange sønner og sønnesønner - hundre og femti. Alle disse var av Benjamins barn.

And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons' sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.
