Psalms 103

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Di Davide. Benedici, anima mia, l’Eterno; e tutto quello ch’è in me, benedica il nome suo santo.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Benedici, anima mia l’Eterno, e non dimenticare alcuno de’ suoi benefici.

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Egli è quel che ti perdona tutte le tue iniquità, che sana tutte le tue infermità,

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

che redime la tua vita dalla fossa, che ti corona di benignità e di compassioni,

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

che sazia di beni la tua bocca, che ti fa ringiovanire come l’aquila.

The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

L’Eterno fa giustizia e ragione a tutti quelli che sono oppressi.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

Egli fece conoscere a Mosè le sue vie e ai figliuoli d’Israele le sue opere.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

L’Eterno è pietoso e clemente, lento all’ira e di gran benignità.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

Egli non contende in eterno, né serba l’ira sua in perpetuo.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

Egli non ci ha trattati secondo i nostri peccati, né ci ha retribuiti secondo le nostre iniquità.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

Poiché quanto i cieli sono alti al disopra della terra, tanto è grande la sua benignità verso quelli che lo temono.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Quanto è lontano il levante dal ponente, tanto ha egli allontanato da noi le nostre trasgressioni.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Come un padre è pietoso verso i suoi figliuoli, così è pietoso l’Eterno verso quelli che lo temono.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Poiché egli conosce la nostra natura; egli si ricorda che siam polvere.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

I giorni dell’uomo son come l’erba; egli fiorisce come il fiore del campo;

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

se un vento gli passa sopra ei non è più, e il luogo dov’era non lo riconosce più.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

Ma la benignità dell’Eterno dura ab eterno e in eterno, sopra quelli che lo temono, e la sua giustizia sopra i figliuoli de’ figliuoli

To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

di quelli che osservano il suo patto, e si ricordano de’ suoi comandamenti per metterli in opra.

The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

L’Eterno ha stabilito il suo trono ne’ cieli, e il suo regno signoreggia su tutto.

Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Benedite l’Eterno, voi suoi angeli, potenti e forti, che fate ciò ch’egli dice, ubbidendo alla voce della sua parola!

Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

Benedite l’Eterno, voi tutti gli eserciti suoi, che siete suoi ministri, e fate ciò che gli piace!

Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Benedite l’Eterno, voi tutte le opere sue, in tutti i luoghi della sua signoria! Anima mia, benedici l’Eterno!
