I Chronicles 2

Voici les fils d'Israël. Ruben, Siméon, Lévi, Juda, Issacar, Zabulon,

These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad et Aser.

Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

Fils de Juda: Er, Onan, Schéla; ces trois lui naquirent de la fille de Schua, la Cananéenne. Er, premier-né de Juda, était méchant aux yeux de l'Eternel, qui le fit mourir.

The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him.

Tamar, belle-fille de Juda, lui enfanta Pérets et Zérach. Total des fils de Juda: cinq.

And Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

Fils de Pérets: Hetsron et Hamul.

The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.

Fils de Zérach: Zimri, Ethan, Héman, Calcol et Dara. En tout: cinq. -

And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.

Fils de Carmi: Acar, qui troubla Israël lorsqu'il commit une infidélité au sujet des choses dévouées par interdit. -

And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.

Fils d'Ethan: Azaria.

And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.

Fils qui naquirent à Hetsron: Jerachmeel, Ram et Kelubaï.

The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

Ram engendra Amminadab. Amminadab engendra Nachschon, prince des fils de Juda.

And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

Nachschon engendra Salma. Salma engendra Boaz.

And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

Boaz engendra Obed. Obed engendra Isaï.

And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

Isaï engendra Eliab, son premier-né, Abinadab le second, Schimea le troisième,

And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,

Nethaneel le quatrième, Raddaï le cinquième,

Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

Otsem le sixième, David le septième.

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:

Leurs soeurs étaient: Tseruja et Abigaïl. Fils de Tseruja: Abischaï, Joab et Asaël, trois.

Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

Abigaïl enfanta Amasa; le père d'Amasa fut Jéther, l'Ismaélite.

And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.

Caleb, fils de Hetsron, eut des enfants d'Azuba, sa femme, et de Jerioth. Voici les fils qu'il eut d'Azuba: Jéscher, Schobab et Ardon.

And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

Azuba mourut; et Caleb prit Ephrath, qui lui enfanta Hur.

And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur.

Hur engendra Uri, et Uri engendra Betsaleel. -

And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

Ensuite, Hetsron alla vers la fille de Makir, père de Galaad, et il avait soixante ans lorsqu'il la prit; elle lui enfanta Segub.

And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.

Segub engendra Jaïr, qui eut vingt-trois villes dans le pays de Galaad.

And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.

Les Gueschuriens et les Syriens leur prirent les bourgs de Jaïr avec Kenath et les villes de son ressort, soixante villes. Tous ceux-là étaient fils de Makir, père de Galaad.

And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

Après la mort de Hetsron à Caleb-Ephratha, Abija, femme de Hetsron, lui enfanta Aschchur, père de Tekoa.

And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb–ephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

Les fils de Jerachmeel, premier-né de Hetsron, furent: Ram, le premier-né, Buna, Oren et Otsem, nés d'Achija.

And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.

Jerachmeel eut une autre femme, nommée Athara, qui fut mère d'Onam. -

Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

Les fils de Ram, premier-né de Jerachmeel, furent: Maats, Jamin et Eker. -

And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

Les fils d'Onam furent: Schammaï et Jada. Fils de Schammaï: Nadab et Abischur.

And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.

Le nom de la femme d'Abischur était Abichaïl, et elle lui enfanta Achban et Molid.

And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.

Fils de Nadab: Séled et Appaïm. Séled mourut sans fils.

And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.

Fils d'Appaïm: Jischeï. Fils de Jischeï: Schéschan. Fils de Schéschan: Achlaï. -

And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.

Fils de Jada, frère de Schammaï: Jéther et Jonathan. Jéther mourut sans fils.

And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.

Fils de Jonathan: Péleth et Zara. -Ce sont là les fils de Jerachmeel. -

And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

Schéschan n'eut point de fils, mais il eut des filles. Schéschan avait un esclave égyptien nommé Jarcha.

Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.

Et Schéschan donna sa fille pour femme à Jarcha, son esclave, à qui elle enfanta Attaï.

And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.

Attaï engendra Nathan; Nathan engendra Zabad;

And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

Zabad engendra Ephlal; Ephlal engendra Obed;

And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

Obed engendra Jéhu; Jéhu engendra Azaria;

And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

Azaria engendra Halets; Halets engendra Elasa;

And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

Elasa engendra Sismaï; Sismaï engendra Schallum;

And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,

Schallum engendra Jekamja; Jekamja engendra Elischama.

And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

Fils de Caleb, frère de Jerachmeel: Méscha, son premier-né, qui fut père de Ziph, et les fils de Maréscha, père d'Hébron.

Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

Fils d'Hébron: Koré, Thappuach, Rékem et Schéma.

And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

Schéma engendra Racham, père de Jorkeam. Rékem engendra Schammaï.

And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.

Fils de Schammaï: Maon; et Maon, père de Beth-Tsur.

And the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Beth–zur.

Epha, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Haran, Motsa et Gazez. Haran engendra Gazez.

And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez.

Fils de Jahdaï: Réguem, Jotham, Guéschan, Péleth, Epha et Schaaph.

And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

Maaca, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Schéber et Tirchana.

Maachah, Caleb's concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah.

Elle enfanta encore Schaaph, père de Madmanna, et Scheva, père de Macbéna et père de Guibea. La fille de Caleb était Acsa.

She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

Ceux-ci furent fils de Caleb: Schobal, fils de Hur, premier-né d'Ephrata, et père de Kirjath-Jearim;

These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim,

Salma, père de Bethléhem; Hareph, père de Beth-Gader.

Salma the father of Beth–lehem, Hareph the father of Beth–gader.

Les fils de Schobal, père de Kirjath-Jearim, furent: Haroé, Hatsi-Hammenuhoth.

And Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites.

Les familles de Kirjath-Jearim furent: les Jéthriens, les Puthiens, les Schumathiens et les Mischraïens; de ces familles sont sortis les Tsoreathiens et les Eschthaoliens.

And the families of Kirjath–jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.

Fils de Salma: Bethléhem et les Nethophatiens, Athroth-Beth-Joab, Hatsi-Hammanachthi, les Tsoreïens;

The sons of Salma; Beth–lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.

et les familles des scribes demeurant à Jaebets, les Thireathiens, les Schimeathiens et les Sucathiens. Ce sont les Kéniens, issus de Hamath, père de la maison de Récab.

And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
