Job 20

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

تب ضوفر نعماتی نے جواب دے کر کہا،

Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.

”یقیناً میرے مضطرب خیالات اور وہ احساسات جو میرے اندر سے اُبھر رہے ہیں مجھے جواب دینے پر مجبور کر رہے ہیں۔

I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.

مجھے ایسی نصیحت سننی پڑی جو میری بےعزتی کا باعث تھی، لیکن میری سمجھ مجھے جواب دینے کی تحریک دے رہی ہے۔

Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,

کیا تجھے معلوم نہیں کہ قدیم زمانے سے یعنی جب سے انسان کو زمین پر رکھا گیا

That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?

شریر کا فتح مند نعرہ عارضی اور بےدین کی خوشی پل بھر کی ثابت ہوئی ہے؟

Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;

گو اُس کا قد و قامت آسمان تک پہنچے اور اُس کا سر بادلوں کو چھوئے

Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?

تاہم وہ اپنے فضلے کی طرح ابد تک تباہ ہو جائے گا۔ جنہوں نے اُسے پہلے دیکھا تھا وہ پوچھیں گے، ’اب وہ کہاں ہے؟‘

He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

وہ خواب کی طرح اُڑ جاتا اور آئندہ کہیں نہیں پایا جائے گا، اُسے رات کی رویا کی طرح بُھلا دیا جاتا ہے۔

The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.

جس آنکھ نے اُسے دیکھا وہ اُسے آئندہ کبھی نہیں دیکھے گی۔ اُس کا گھر دوبارہ اُس کا مشاہدہ نہیں کرے گا۔

His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.

اُس کی اولاد کو غریبوں سے بھیک مانگنی پڑے گی، اُس کے اپنے ہاتھوں کو دولت واپس دینی پڑے گی۔

His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.

جوانی کی جس طاقت سے اُس کی ہڈیاں بھری ہیں وہ اُس کے ساتھ ہی خاک میں مل جائے گی۔

Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;

بُرائی بےدین کے منہ میں میٹھی ہے۔ وہ اُسے اپنی زبان تلے چھپائے رکھتا،

Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:

اُسے محفوظ رکھ کر جانے نہیں دیتا۔

Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.

لیکن اُس کی خوراک پیٹ میں آ کر خراب ہو جاتی بلکہ سانپ کا زہر بن جاتی ہے۔

He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.

جو دولت اُس نے نگل لی اُسے وہ اُگل دے گا، اللہ ہی یہ چیزیں اُس کے پیٹ سے خارج کرے گا۔

He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him.

اُس نے سانپ کا زہر چوس لیا، اور سانپ ہی کی زبان اُسے مار ڈالے گی۔

He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.

وہ ندیوں سے لطف اندوز نہیں ہو گا، شہد اور بالائی کی نہروں سے مزہ نہیں لے گا۔

That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.

جو کچھ اُس نے حاصل کیا اُسے وہ ہضم نہیں کرے گا بلکہ سب کچھ واپس کرے گا۔ جو دولت اُس نے اپنے کاروبار سے کمائی اُس سے وہ لطف نہیں اُٹھائے گا۔

Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;

کیونکہ اُس نے پست حالوں پر ظلم کر کے اُنہیں ترک کیا ہے، اُس نے ایسے گھروں کو چھین لیا ہے جنہیں اُس نے تعمیر نہیں کیا تھا۔

Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.

اُس نے پیٹ میں کبھی سکون محسوس نہیں کیا بلکہ جو کچھ بھی چاہتا تھا اُسے بچنے نہیں دیا۔

There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.

جب وہ کھانا کھاتا ہے تو کچھ نہیں بچتا، اِس لئے اُس کی خوش حالی قائم نہیں رہے گی۔

In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.

جوں ہی اُسے کثرت کی چیزیں حاصل ہوں گی وہ مصیبت میں پھنس جائے گا۔ تب دُکھ درد کا پورا زور اُس پر آئے گا۔

When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.

کاش اللہ بےدین کا پیٹ بھر کر اپنا بھڑکتا قہر اُس پر نازل کرے، کاش وہ اپنا غضب اُس پر برسائے۔

He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.

گو وہ لوہے کے ہتھیار سے بھاگ جائے، لیکن پیتل کا تیر اُسے چیر ڈالے گا۔

It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.

جب وہ اُسے اپنی پیٹھ سے نکالے تو تیر کی نوک اُس کے کلیجے میں سے نکلے گی۔ اُسے دہشت ناک واقعات پیش آئیں گے۔

All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.

گہری تاریکی اُس کے خزانوں کی تاک میں بیٹھی رہے گی۔ ایسی آگ جو انسانوں نے نہیں لگائی اُسے بھسم کرے گی۔ اُس کے خیمے کے جتنے لوگ بچ نکلے اُنہیں وہ کھا جائے گی۔

The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.

آسمان اُسے مجرم ٹھہرائے گا، زمین اُس کے خلاف گواہی دینے کے لئے کھڑی ہو جائے گی۔

The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.

سیلاب اُس کا گھر اُڑا لے جائے گا، غضب کے دن شدت سے بہتا ہوا پانی اُس پر سے گزرے گا۔

This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.

یہ ہے وہ اجر جو اللہ بےدینوں کو دے گا، وہ وراثت جسے اللہ نے اُن کے لئے مقرر کی ہے۔“
