Psalms 103

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Av David.  Lova HERREN, min själ,  och allt det i mig är hans heliga namn.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

 Lova HERREN, min själ,  och förgät icke vad gott han har gjort,

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

 han som förlåter dig alla dina missgärningar  och helar alla dina brister,

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

 han som förlossar ditt liv från graven  och kröner dig med nåd och barmhärtighet,

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

 han som mättar ditt begär med sitt goda,  så att du bliver ung på nytt såsom en örn.

The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

 HERREN gör rättfärdighetens verk  och skaffar rätt åt alla förtryckta.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

 Han lät Mose se sina vägar,  Israels barn sina gärningar.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

 Barmhärtig och nådig är HERREN,  långmodig och stor i mildhet.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

 Han går icke ständigt till rätta  och behåller ej vrede evinnerligen.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

 Han handlar icke med oss efter våra synder  och vedergäller oss icke efter våra missgärningar.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

 Ty så hög som himmelen är över jorden,  så väldig är hans nåd över dem som frukta honom.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

 Så långt som öster är från väster  låter han våra överträdelser vara från oss.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

 Såsom en fader förbarmar sig över barnen,  så förbarmar sig HERREN över dem som frukta honom.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

 Ty han vet vad för ett verk vi äro,  han tänker därpå att vi äro stoft.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

 En människas dagar äro såsom gräset,  hon blomstrar såsom ett blomster på marken.

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

 När vinden går däröver, då är det icke mer,  och dess plats vet icke mer därav.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

 Men HERRENS nåd varar från evighet till evighet  över dem som frukta honom,  och hans rättfärdighet intill barnbarn,

To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

 när man håller hans förbund  och tänker på hans befallningar och gör efter dem.

The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

 HERREN har ställt sin tron i himmelen,  och hans konungavälde omfattar allt.

Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

 Loven HERREN, I hans änglar,  I starke hjältar, som uträtten hans befallning,  så snart I hören ljudet av hans befallning.

Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

 Loven HERREN, I alla hans härskaror,  I hans tjänare, som uträtten hans vilja.

Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

 Loven HERREN, I alla hans verk,  varhelst hans herradöme är.  Min själ, lova HERREN.
