Psalms 103

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

A Dávidé. Áldjad én lelkem az Urat, és egész bensőm az ő szent nevét.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Áldjad én lelkem az Urat, és el ne feledkezzél semmi jótéteményéről.

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

A ki megbocsátja minden bűnödet, meggyógyítja minden betegségedet.

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

A ki megváltja életedet a koporsótól; kegyelemmel és irgalmassággal koronáz meg téged.

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

A ki jóval tölti be a te ékességedet, *és* megújul a te ifjúságod, mint a sasé.

The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

Igazságot cselekszik az Úr, és ítéletet minden elnyomottal.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

Megismertette az ő útait Mózessel; Izráel fiaival az ő cselekedeteit.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

Könyörülő és irgalmas az Úr, késedelmes a haragra és nagy kegyelmű.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

Nem feddődik minduntalan, és nem tartja meg haragját örökké.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

Nem bűneink szerint cselekszik velünk, és nem fizet nékünk a mi álnokságaink szerint.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

Mert a milyen magas az ég a földtől, olyan nagy az ő kegyelme az őt félők iránt.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

A milyen távol van a napkelet a napnyugattól, olyan messze veti el tőlünk a mi vétkeinket.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

A milyen könyörülő az atya a fiakhoz, olyan könyörülő az Úr az őt félők iránt.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Mert ő tudja a mi formáltatásunkat; megemlékezik róla, hogy por vagyunk.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

Az embernek napjai olyanok, mint a fű, úgy virágzik, mint a mezőnek virága.

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

Hogyha általmegy rajta a szél, nincsen többé, és az ő helye sem ismeri azt többé.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

De az Úr kegyelme öröktől fogva való és örökkévaló az őt félőkön, és az ő igazsága a fiaknak fiain;

To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

Azokon, a kik megtartják az ő szövetségét és megemlékeznek az ő parancsolatjairól, hogy azokat megcselekedjék.

The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Az Úr a mennyekbe helyheztette az ő székét és az ő uralkodása mindenre kihat.

Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Áldjátok az Urat ő angyalai, ti hatalmas erejűek, a kik teljesítitek az ő rendeletét, hallgatván az ő rendeletének szavára.

Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

Áldjátok az Urat minden ő serege: ő szolgái, akaratának teljesítői!

Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Áldjátok az Urat minden ő teremtményei, az ő uralkodásának minden helyén! Áldjad én lelkem az Urat!
