И ГОСПОД говори на Мойсей и каза:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Отмъсти на мадиамците за израилевите синове и след това ще се прибереш при народа си.

Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.

И Мойсей говори на народа и каза: Нека се въоръжат от вас мъже за бой и да излязат против Мадиам, за да извършат ГОСПОДНОТО отмъщение над Мадиам.

And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.

По хиляда души от племе от всичките израилеви племена да изпратите на бой.

Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.

И така, от израилевите хиляди се преброиха по хиляда души от всяко племе: дванадесет хиляди души, въоръжени за бой.

So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.

И Мойсей ги изпрати на бой, по хиляда души от всяко племе, тях и Финеес, сина на свещеника Елеазар, със светите вещи и с тръбите за тревога в ръката му.

And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.

И те се биха с Мадиам, както ГОСПОД заповяда на Мойсей, и убиха всичко от мъжки пол.

And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.

И между убитите убиха и мадиамските царе: Евий и Рекем, и Сур, и Ур, и Рева, петима мадиамски царе; убиха с меч и Валаам, сина на Веор.

And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

А израилевите синове отведоха в плен жените на мадиамците и децата им, разграбиха всичкия им добитък и всичките им стада, всичкия им имот.

And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.

А всичките им градове в местата, населени от тях, и всичките им станове изгориха с огън.

And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.

И взеха всичко заграбено и цялата плячка, и човек и животно.

And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.

И докараха пленниците, плячката и заграбеното на Мойсей, на свещеника Елеазар и на обществото израилеви синове в стана в низините на Моав при Йордан, срещу Ерихон.

And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.

Тогава Мойсей и свещеникът Елеазар, и всичките първенци на обществото излязоха да ги посрещнат вън от стана.

And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.

А Мойсей се разгневи на военачалниците, на хилядниците и на стотниците, които се връщаха от военния поход,

And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.

и Мойсей им каза: Живи ли оставихте всичките жени?

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

Ето, те по съвета на Валаам станаха причина израилевите синове да изменят на ГОСПОДА чрез Фегор, така че язвата дойде върху ГОСПОДНОТО общество!

Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

Затова, убийте сега всяко дете от мъжки пол, и убийте всяка жена, която е познала мъж в мъжко легло.

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

А всички момичета, които не са познали мъжко легло, оставете живи за себе си.

But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

И останете вън от стана седем дни, всеки, който е убил човек и който се е допрял до убит, очистете се на третия ден и на седмия ден; вие и пленниците ви.

And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.

Очистете и всички дрехи и всички кожени вещи, и всичко, което е направено от козина, и всички дървени съдове.

And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.

Също и свещеникът Елеазар каза на войниците, които бяха ходили на бой: Това е наредбата на закона, която ГОСПОД заповяда на Мойсей.

And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;

Само златото и среброто, бронза, желязото, оловото и калая,

Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,

всичко, което може да устои на огън, да прекарате през огън и ще бъде чисто; но трябва да се очисти и с вода на нечистота; а всичко, което не може да устои на огън, да прекарате през вода.

Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.

И на седмия ден да изперете дрехите си и ще бъдете чисти, и след това да влезете в стана.

And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.

И ГОСПОД говори на Мойсей и каза:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Ти и свещеникът Елеазар, и главите на бащините домове от обществото пребройте плячката и пленниците, и човек, и животно,

Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

и раздели плячката наполовина между тези, които водиха войната, които ходиха на бой, и цялото общество.

And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:

От дела на войниците, които ходиха на бой, отдели данък за ГОСПОДА: по една душа от петстотин — от хората, от говедата, от магаретата и от дребния добитък;

And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:

от тяхната половина да ги вземеш и да ги дадеш на свещеника Елеазар като възвишаем принос на ГОСПОДА.

Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.

А от половината на израилевите синове да вземеш по един дял от петдесет — от хората, от говедата, от магаретата и от дребния добитък; от всеки добитък — и да ги дадеш на левитите, които пазят заповяданото за ГОСПОДНАТА скиния.

And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

И Мойсей и свещеникът Елеазар направиха, както ГОСПОД заповяда на Мойсей.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

А плячката, останалото от плена, което войниците заплениха, беше: шестстотин седемдесет и пет хиляди глави дребен добитък,

And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,

седемдесет и две хиляди говеда,

And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,

шестдесет и една хиляди магарета,

And threescore and one thousand asses,

а човешките души — момичетата, които не бяха познали мъжко легло — бяха всичко тридесет и две хиляди души.

And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.

И половината, делът на онези, които бяха ходили на бой, броят на дребния добитък беше триста тридесет и седем хиляди и петстотин глави,

And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:

а данъкът за ГОСПОДА от дребния добитък беше шестстотин седемдесет и пет глави.

And the LORD'S tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.

Говедата бяха тридесет и шест хиляди, а данъкът за ГОСПОДА от тях беше седемдесет и две.

And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD'S tribute was threescore and twelve.

Магаретата бяха тридесет хиляди и петстотин, а данъкът за ГОСПОДА от тях беше шестдесет и едно.

And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD'S tribute was threescore and one.

А човешките души бяха шестнадесет хиляди, а данъкът за ГОСПОДА от тях беше тридесет и двама души.

And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which the LORD'S tribute was thirty and two persons.

И Мойсей даде данъка на възвишаемия принос на ГОСПОДА на свещеника Елеазар, както ГОСПОД заповяда на Мойсей.

And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD'S heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.

А половината за израилевите синове, която Мойсей отдели от войниците,

And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men that warred,

половината за обществото беше: триста тридесет и седем хиляди и петстотин глави дребен добитък,

(Now the half that pertained unto the congregation was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep,

тридесет и шест хиляди говеда,

And thirty and six thousand beeves,

тридесет хиляди и петстотин магарета

And thirty thousand asses and five hundred,

и шестнадесет хиляди човешки души.

And sixteen thousand persons;)

От половината за израилевите синове Мойсей взе по един дял от петдесет, от хората и от добитъка, и ги даде на левитите, които пазеха заповяданото за ГОСПОДНАТА скиния, както ГОСПОД заповяда на Мойсей.

Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Тогава началниците, които бяха над хилядите на войската, се приближиха при Мойсей, хилядниците и стотниците,

And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:

и казаха на Мойсей: Слугите ти преброиха войниците, които са под ръката ни, и не липсва нито един от нас.

And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.

Затова принасяме принос на ГОСПОДА, всеки каквото е намерил, златни украшения, верижки, гривни, пръстени, обици и мъниста, за да се извърши умилостивение за душите ни пред ГОСПОДА.

We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.

И Мойсей и свещеникът Елеазар взеха златото от тях, всичко в изработени украшения.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels.

И цялото злато на възвишаемия принос, който принесоха на ГОСПОДА, беше шестнадесет хиляди седемстотин и петдесет сикъла от хилядниците и стотниците.

And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.

А войниците бяха грабили всеки за себе си.

(For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.)

И Мойсей и свещеникът Елеазар взеха златото от хилядниците и стотниците и го донесоха в шатъра за срещане за спомен на израилевите синове пред ГОСПОДА.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.
