Job 22

Тогава теманецът Елифаз отговори и каза:

Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,

Може ли човек да бъде полезен на Бога? Ако е разумен, може да бъде полезен на себе си.

Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?

Наслада ли е за Всемогъщия, ако ти си праведен, или полза, ако правиш непорочни пътищата си?

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?

Заради страха ти от Него ли те изобличава Той и влиза в съд с теб?

Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?

Не е ли злото ти голямо и беззаконията ти — без край?

Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?

Защото си взел залог от брат си без причина и лишил си голите от облеклото им.

For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.

Не си напоил с вода жадния и си отказал хляб на гладния.

Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.

И силният, той притежаваше земята и почитаният обитаваше във нея.

But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.

Вдовици си отпратил празни, силата на сирачетата е била сломена.

Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

Затова отвсякъде те обикалят примки и внезапен страх те ужасява,

Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;

или тъмнина — не виждаш — и изобилие от вода те покрива.

Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.

Бог не е ли във небесни висини? Виж най-високите звезди — колко са извисени!

Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

А ти говориш: Как ще знае Бог? Може ли да съди Той през мрака?

And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?

Облаците Го покриват и не вижда, и ходи по свода небесен.

Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.

Ще се държиш ли за древния път, по който са тъпкали грешните,

Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?

които се отсякоха без време, и чиито основи пороят помете?

Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:

Те казаха на Бога: Махни се от нас! И какво ще им направи Всемогъщият?

Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?

А Той беше напълнил домовете им с блага. Но далеч да е от мен съветът на безбожните!

Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

Праведните гледат и се радват; невинният им се присмива, казва:

The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.

Ето как изтребиха се враговете ни, и остатъка им огън ще погълне!

Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.

Сега, сприятели се с Него, в мир бъди — така добро ще дойде върху теб.

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

Наставлението от устата Му ти приеми и думите Му присърце вземи.

Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

Ако се върнеш към Всесилния, отново ще се утвърдиш. Махни далеч от шатрата си беззаконието;

If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

и златото си във пръстта сложи, и офирското злато — под речните камъни.

Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

Тогава Всемогъщият за теб ще бъде злато и изобилие сребро,

Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

защото тогава ще се наслаждаваш във Всесилния, лицето си към Бога ще издигаш.

For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

Ще Му се помолиш и Той ще те послуша, и ти ще изпълниш обещанията си.

Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

Каквото решение вземеш, ще стане и светлина ще сияе над пътищата ти.

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Когато някой падне, ти ще кажеш: Има въздигане! И Той ще спаси онзи, който е с наведени очи.

When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

Ще спаси дори и онзи, който не е невинен; с чистотата на твоите ръце ще се спаси.

He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
