Job 40

RAB Eyüp’e şöyle dedi:
Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
“Her Şeye Gücü Yeten’le çatışan O’nu yola getirebilir mi? Tanrı’yı suçlayan yanıtlasın.”
Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
O zaman Eyüp RAB’bi şöyle yanıtladı:
Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
“Bak, ben değersiz biriyim, Sana nasıl yanıt verebilirim? Ağzımı elimle kapıyorum.
Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
Bir kez konuştum, yanıt almadım, İkinci kez konuşamam artık.”
Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
RAB kasırganın içinden Eyüp’ü şöyle yanıtladı:
Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
“Şimdi erkek gibi kuşağını beline vur da, Ben sorayım, sen anlat.
Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
“Adaletimi boşa mı çıkaracaksın? Kendini haklı çıkarmak için beni mi suçlayacaksın?
Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
Sende Tanrı’nın bileği gibi bilek var mı? Sesin O’nunki gibi gürleyebilir mi?
Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
Öyleyse şan ve şerefe bürün, Görkem ve yücelik kuşan.
Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.
Gazabının ateşini saç, Gururluya bakıp onu alçalt.
Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
Gururluya bakıp onu çökert, Kötüleri bulundukları yerde ez.
Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
Hepsini birlikte toprağa göm, Mezarda yüzlerini kefenle sar.
Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
O zaman sağ kolunun seni kurtarabileceğini Ben de kabul ederim.
Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
“Seninle birlikte yarattığım Behemot’a bak, Sığır gibi ot yiyor.
Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
Bak, ne güç var belinde, Karnının kasları ne güçlü!
Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
Kuyruğunu sedir ağacı gibi sallıyor, Sımsıkıdır uyluk lifleri.
He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
Kemikleri tunç borular, Kaburgaları demir çubuklar gibidir.
His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
Tanrı’nın yapıtları arasında ilk sırayı alır, Yalnız Yaratıcısı ona kılıçla yaklaşır.
He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
Tepeler ürünlerini ona getirir, Bütün yabanıl hayvanlar yanında oynaşır.
Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
Hünnap çalıları altında, Kamışlarla örtülü bir bataklıkta yatar.
He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
Hünnaplar onu gölgelerinde saklar, Vadideki kavaklar kuşatır.
The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
Irmak coşsa bile o ürkmez, Güvenlik içindedir, Şeria Irmağı boğazına dayansa bile.
Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
Gözleri açıkken kim onu tutabilir, Kim kancayla burnunu delebilir?
He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
