Job 13

“İşte, gözlerim her şeyi gördü, Kulağım duydu, anladı.
Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it.
Sizin bildiğinizi ben de biliyorum, Sizden aşağı kalmam.
What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
Ama ben Her Şeye Gücü Yeten’le konuşmak, Davamı Tanrı’yla tartışmak istiyorum.
Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
Sizlerse yalan düzüyorsunuz, Hepiniz değersiz hekimlersiniz.
But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
Keşke büsbütün sussanız! Sizin için bilgelik olurdu bu.
O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
Şimdi davamı dinleyin, Yakınmama kulak verin.
Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
Tanrı adına haksızlık mı edeceksiniz? O’nun adına yalan mı söyleyeceksiniz?
Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
O’nun tarafını mı tutacaksınız? Tanrı’nın davasını mı savunacaksınız?
Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
Sizi sorguya çekerse, iyi mi olur? İnsanları aldattığınız gibi O’nu da mı aldatacaksınız?
Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
Gizlice O’nun tarafını tutarsanız, Kuşkusuz sizi azarlar.
He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
O’nun görkemi sizi yıldırmaz mı? Dehşeti üzerinize düşmez mi?
Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?
Anlattıklarınız kül kadar değersizdir, Savunduklarınızsa çamurdan farksız.
Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
“Susun, bırakın ben konuşayım, Başıma ne gelirse gelsin.
Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.
Hayatım tehlikeye girecekse girsin, Canım zora düşecekse düşsün.
Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
Beni öldürecek, umudum kalmadı, Hiç olmazsa yürüdüğüm yolun doğruluğunu yüzüne karşı savunayım.
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
Aslında bu benim kurtuluşum olacak, Çünkü tanrısız bir adam O’nun karşısına çıkamaz.
He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
Sözlerimi iyi dinleyin, Kulaklarınızdan çıkmasın söyleyeceklerim.
Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
İşte davamı hazırladım, Haklı çıkacağımı biliyorum.
Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
Kim suçlayacak beni? Biri varsa susar, son soluğumu veririm.
Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
“Yalnız şu iki şeyi lütfet, Tanrım, O zaman kendimi senden gizlemeyeceğim:
Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
Elini üstümden çek Ve dehşetinle beni yıldırma.
Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
Sonra beni çağır, yanıtlayayım, Ya da bırak ben konuşayım, sen yanıtla.
Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.
Suçlarım, günahlarım ne kadar? Bana suçumu, günahımı göster.
How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
Niçin yüzünü gizliyorsun, Beni düşman gibi görüyorsun?
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?
Rüzgarın sürüklediği yaprağa dönmüşüm, Beni mi korkutacaksın? Kuru samanı mı kovalayacaksın?
Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
Çünkü hakkımda acı şeyler yazıyor, Gençliğimde işlediğim günahları bana miras veriyorsun.
For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
Ayaklarımı tomruğa vuruyor, Yollarımı gözetliyor, İzimi sürüyorsun.
Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly unto all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.
“Oysa insan telef olmuş, çürük bir şey, Güve yemiş giysi gibidir.
And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten.
