Job 22

Dia namaly Elifaza Temanita ka nanao hoe:

Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,

Mahasoa an'Andriamanitra va ny olona? Tsia, fa mahasoa ny tenany ihany ny olon-kendry.

Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?

Mampaninona ny Tsitoha moa, raha marina ianao, sa misy tombony ho Azy, raha ataonao tsy misy diso ny alehanao?

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?

Moa ny fahatahoranao Azy va no ananarany anao, sy ifanatrehany aminao amin'ny fitsarana?

Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?

Tsy be va ny faharatsianao, sady tsy hita isa ny helokao?

Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?

Fa efa naka tsatòka tsy ahoan-tsy ahoana tamin'ny rahalahinao ianao ka nanendaka ny akanjon'ny mahantra.

For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.

Tsy nanome rano hosotroin'ny mangetaheta ianao sady tsy nahafoy hanina ho an'ny noana.

Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.

Fa ny olona sandriana ihany no nanana ny tany; Ary ny manan-kaja ihany no nitoetra teo.

But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.

Efa nampialainao maina ny mpitondratena. Ary tapahina ny sandrin'ny kamboty.

Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

Koa noho izany dia misy fandrika manodidina anao, ary ny fahatahorana dia mampihorohoro anao tampoka;

Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;

Moa tsy ianao va ny maizina Sy ny rano mandriaka mandifotra anao?

Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.

Tsy avo tahaka ny lanitra va Andriamanitra? Jereo ny hahavon'ny kintana, endrey ny hahavony!

Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

Nefa hoy ianao: Ataon'Andriamanitra ahoana no fahafantatra? Mahay mitsara ary ankoatry ny rahona maizina va Izy?

And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?

Ny rahona matevina manakona Azy, ka tsy mahita Izy; Ary mandehandeha eny amin'ny lanitra Izy.

Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.

Moa hizotra amin'ny lalana izay nalehan'ny olona fahagola va ianao? Dia ilay nalehan'ny olona ratsy fanahy.

Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?

Izay nesorina alohan'ny androny, ka nindaosin'ny riaka ny fanorenany,

Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:

Dia ireo izay manao tamin'Andriamanitra hoe: Mialà aminay! Ary inona no azon'ny Tsitoha atao ho anay?

Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?

Kanefa Izy no efa nameno zava-tsoa ny tranony ho lavitra ahy anie ny fisainan'ny ratsy fanahy!

Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

Ny marina mahita ka mifaly, Ary ny tsy manan-tsiny mihomehy ireny hoe:

The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.

Marina tokoa fa efa rava ny fahavalontsika, ary ny hareny betsaka efa levon'ny afo.

Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.

Mifankazara amin'ny Tsitoha ianao, dia hiadana; Izany no hahatongavan'ny soa aminao.

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

Masìna ianao, mandraisa fampianarana avy amin'ny vavany, ary alatsaho ao am-ponao ny teniny.

Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

Raha miverina aminy ianao, dia haorina tsara, eny, raha ampanalavirinao ny lainao ny heloka.

If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

Ario eny amin'ny vovoka ny akoram-bolamena sy ny akoram-bolafotsy, eny, ario eny amin'ny vato eny an-dohasahan-driaka ny volamena avy any Ofira;

Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

Fa ny Tsitoha no ho akoram-bolamenanao sy akoram-bolafotsinao, Ary ho volafotsy mamirapiratra ho anao.

Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

Fa amin'izany dia hiravoravo amin'ny Tsitoha ianao ka hanandratra ny tavanao amin'Andriamanitra.

For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

Raha mifona aminy ianao, dia hihaino anao Izy; Ary ny voadinao dia hefainao.

Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

Ary raha misy kasainao hatao, dia hotanterahina aminao, ary hamirapiratra amin'ny lalanao ny mazava.

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Raha misy mietry, dia hataonao hoe: Misandrata; fa ny manetry tena hovonjeny.

When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

Hanafaka ny olona meloka Izy, eny, ny fahadiovan'ny tananao no hamonjena azy.

He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
