Psalms 22

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

داؤد کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ طرز: طلوعِ صبح کی ہرنی۔ اے میرے خدا، اے میرے خدا، تُو نے مجھے کیوں ترک کر دیا ہے؟ مَیں چیخ رہا ہوں، لیکن میری نجات نظر نہیں آتی۔

O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

اے میرے خدا، دن کو مَیں چلّاتا ہوں، لیکن تُو جواب نہیں دیتا۔ رات کو پکارتا ہوں، لیکن آرام نہیں پاتا۔

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

لیکن تُو قدوس ہے، تُو جو اسرائیل کی مدح سرائی پر تخت نشین ہوتا ہے۔

Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

تجھ پر ہمارے باپ دادا نے بھروسا رکھا، اور جب بھروسا رکھا تو تُو نے اُنہیں رِہائی دی۔

They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

جب اُنہوں نے مدد کے لئے تجھے پکارا تو بچنے کا راستہ کھل گیا۔ جب اُنہوں نے تجھ پر اعتماد کیا تو شرمندہ نہ ہوئے۔

But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

لیکن مَیں کیڑا ہوں، مجھے انسان نہیں سمجھا جاتا۔ لوگ میری بےعزتی کرتے، مجھے حقیر جانتے ہیں۔

All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

سب مجھے دیکھ کر میرا مذاق اُڑاتے ہیں۔ وہ منہ بنا کر توبہ توبہ کرتے اور کہتے ہیں،

He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

”اُس نے اپنا معاملہ رب کے سپرد کیا ہے۔ اب رب ہی اُسے بچائے۔ وہی اُسے چھٹکارا دے، کیونکہ وہی اُس سے خوش ہے۔“

But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

یقیناً تُو مجھے ماں کے پیٹ سے نکال لایا۔ مَیں ابھی ماں کا دودھ پیتا تھا کہ تُو نے میرے دل میں بھروسا پیدا کیا۔

I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.

جوں ہی مَیں پیدا ہوا مجھے تجھ پر چھوڑ دیا گیا۔ ماں کے پیٹ سے ہی تُو میرا خدا رہا ہے۔

Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

مجھ سے دُور نہ رہ۔ کیونکہ مصیبت نے میرا دامن پکڑ لیا ہے، اور کوئی نہیں جو میری مدد کرے۔

Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

متعدد بَیلوں نے مجھے گھیر لیا، بسن کے طاقت ور سانڈ چاروں طرف جمع ہو گئے ہیں۔

They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

میرے خلاف اُنہوں نے اپنے منہ کھول دیئے ہیں، اُس دہاڑتے ہوئے شیرببر کی طرح جو شکار کو پھاڑنے کے جوش میں آ گیا ہے۔

I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

مجھے پانی کی طرح زمین پر اُنڈیلا گیا ہے، میری تمام ہڈیاں الگ الگ ہو گئی ہیں، جسم کے اندر میرا دل موم کی طرح پگھل گیا ہے۔

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

میری طاقت ٹھیکرے کی طرح خشک ہو گئی، میری زبان تالو سے چپک گئی ہے۔ ہاں، تُو نے مجھے موت کی خاک میں لٹا دیا ہے۔

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

کُتوں نے مجھے گھیر رکھا، شریروں کے جتھے نے میرا احاطہ کیا ہے۔ اُنہوں نے میرے ہاتھوں اور پاؤں کو چھید ڈالا ہے۔

I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

مَیں اپنی ہڈیوں کو گن سکتا ہوں۔ لوگ گھور گھور کر میری مصیبت سے خوش ہوتے ہیں۔

They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

وہ آپس میں میرے کپڑے بانٹ لیتے اور میرے لباس پر قرعہ ڈالتے ہیں۔

But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

لیکن تُو اے رب، دُور نہ رہ! اے میری قوت، میری مدد کرنے کے لئے جلدی کر!

Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

میری جان کو تلوار سے بچا، میری زندگی کو کُتے کے پنجے سے چھڑا۔

Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

شیر کے منہ سے مجھے مخلصی دے، جنگلی بَیلوں کے سینگوں سے رِہائی عطا کر۔ اے رب، تُو نے میری سنی ہے!

I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

مَیں اپنے بھائیوں کے سامنے تیرے نام کا اعلان کروں گا، جماعت کے درمیان تیری مدح سرائی کروں گا۔

Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

تم جو رب کا خوف مانتے ہو، اُس کی تمجید کرو! اے یعقوب کی تمام اولاد، اُس کا احترام کر! اے اسرائیل کے تمام فرزندو، اُس سے خوف کھاؤ!

For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

کیونکہ نہ اُس نے مصیبت زدہ کا دُکھ حقیر جانا، نہ اُس کی تکلیف سے گھن کھائی۔ اُس نے اپنا منہ اُس سے نہ چھپایا بلکہ اُس کی سنی جب وہ مدد کے لئے چیخنے چلّانے لگا۔

My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

اے خدا، بڑے اجتماع میں مَیں تیری ستائش کروں گا، خدا ترسوں کے سامنے اپنی مَنت پوری کروں گا۔

The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

ناچار جی بھر کر کھائیں گے، رب کے طالب اُس کی حمد و ثنا کریں گے۔ تمہارے دل ابد تک زندہ رہیں!

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

لوگ دنیا کی انتہا تک رب کو یاد کر کے اُس کی طرف رجوع کریں گے۔ غیراقوام کے تمام خاندان اُسے سجدہ کریں گے۔

For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.

کیونکہ رب کو ہی بادشاہی کا اختیار حاصل ہے، وہی اقوام پر حکومت کرتا ہے۔

All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

دنیا کے تمام بڑے لوگ اُس کے حضور کھائیں گے اور سجدہ کریں گے۔ خاک میں اُترنے والے سب اُس کے سامنے جھک جائیں گے، وہ سب جو اپنی زندگی کو خود قائم نہیں رکھ سکتے۔

A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

اُس کے فرزند اُس کی خدمت کریں گے۔ ایک آنے والی نسل کو رب کے بارے میں سنایا جائے گا۔

They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

ہاں، وہ آ کر اُس کی راستی ایک قوم کو سنائیں گے جو ابھی پیدا نہیں ہوئی، کیونکہ اُس نے یہ کچھ کیا ہے۔
