Job 28

Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.

“वहाँ चाँदी की खान है जहाँ लोग चाँदी पाते है, वहाँ ऐसे स्थान है जहाँ लोग सोना पिघला करके उसे शुद्ध करते हैं।

Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.

लोग धरती से खोद कर लोहा निकालते है, और चट्टानों से पिघला कर ताँबा निकालते हैं।

He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.

लोग गुफाओं में प्रकाश को लाते हैं वे गुफाओं की गहराई में खोजा करते हैं, गहरे अन्धेरे में वे खनिज की चट्टानें खोजते हैं।

The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.

जहाँ लोग रहते है उससे बहुत दूर लोग गहरे गढ़े खोदा करते हैं कभी किसी और ने इन गढ़ों को नहीं छुआ। जब व्यक्ति गहन गर्तो में रस्से से लटकता है, तो वह दूसरों से बहुत दूर होता है।

As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.

भोजन धरती की सतह से मिला करता है, किन्तु धरती के भीतर वह बढ़त जाया करता है जैसे आग वस्तुओं को बदल देती है।

The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it hath dust of gold.

धरती के भीतर चट्टानों के नीचे नीलम मिल जाते हैं, और धरती के नीचे मिट्टी अपने आप में सोना रखती है।

There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen:

जंगल के पक्षी धरती के नीचे की राहें नहीं जानते हैं न ही कोई बाज यह मार्ग देखता है।

The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.

इस राह पर हिंसक पशु नहीं चले, कभी सिंह इस राह पर नहीं विचरे।

He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots.

मजदूर कठिन चट्टानों को खोदते हैं और पहाड़ों को वे खोद कर जड़ से साफ कर देते हैं।

He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.

काम करने वाले सुरंगे काटते हैं, वे चट्टान के खजाने को चट्टानों के भीतर देख लिया करते हैं।

He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.

काम करने वाले बाँध बाँधा करते हैं कि पानी कहीं ऊपर से होकर न वह जाये। वे छुपी हुई वस्तुओं को ऊपर प्रकाश में लाते हैं।

But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?

“किन्तु कोई व्यक्ति विवेक कहाँ पा सकता है और हम कहाँ जा सकते हैं समझ पाने को

Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.

ज्ञान कहाँ रहता है लोग नहीं जानते हैं, लोग जो धरती पर रहते हैं, उनमें विवेक नहीं रहता है।

The depth saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me.

सागर की गहराई कहती है, ‘मुझ में विवेक नहीं।’ और समुद्र कहता है, ‘यहाँ मुझ में ज्ञान नहीं है।’

It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.

विवेक को अति मूल्यवान सोना भी मोल नहीं ले सकता है, विवेक का मूल्य चाँदी से नहीं गिना जा सकता है।

It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.

विवेक ओपीर देश के सोने से अथवा मूल्यवान स्फटिक से अथवा नीलमणियों से नहीं खरीदा जा सकता है।

The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.

विवेक सोने और स्फटिक से अधिक मूल्यवान है, कोई व्यक्ति अति मूल्यवान सुवर्ण जड़ित रत्नों से विवेक नहीं खरीद सकता है।

No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.

विवेक मूंगे और सूर्यकांत मणि से अति मूल्यवान है। विवेक मानक मणियों से अधिक महंगा है।

The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.

जितना उत्तम विवेक है कूश देश का पदमराग भी उतना उत्तम नहीं है। विवेक को तुम कुन्दन से मोल नहीं ले सकते हो।

Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?

“तो फिर हम कहाँ विवेक को पाने जायें? हम कहाँ समझ सीखने जायें?

Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.

विवेक धरती के हर व्यक्ति से छुपा हुआ है। यहाँ तक की ऊँचे आकाश के पक्षी भी विवेक को नहीं देख पाते हैं।

Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.

मृत्यु और विनाश कहा करते है कि हमने तो बस विवेक की बाते सुनी हैं।

God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.

“किन्तु बस परमेश्वर विवेक तक पहुँचने की राह को जानता है। परमेश्वर जानता है विवेक कहाँ रहता है।

For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;

परमेश्वर विवेक को जानता है क्योंकि वह धरती के आखिरी छोर तक देखा करता है। परमेश्वर हर उस वस्तु को जो आकाश के नीचे है देखा करता है।

To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.

जब परमेश्वर ने पवन को उसकी शक्ति प्रदान की और यह निश्चित किया कि समुद्रों को कितना बड़ा बनाना है।

When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:

और जब परमेश्वर ने निश्चय किया कि उसे कहाँ वर्षा को भेजना है, और बवण्डरों को कहाँ की यात्रा करनी है।

Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.

तब परमेश्वर ने विवेक को देखा था, और उसको यह देखने के लिये परखा था कि विवेक का कितना मूल्य है, तब परमेश्वर ने विवेक का समर्थन किया था।

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

और लोगों से परमेश्वर ने कहा था कि ‘यहोवा का भय मानो और उसको आदर दो। बुराईयों से मुख मोड़ना ही विवेक है, यही समझदारी है।’”
