I Chronicles 8

Now Benjamin begat Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third,

Benjamin engendra Béla, son premier-né, Aschbel le second, Achrach le troisième,

Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.

And the sons of Bela were, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,

And Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah,

Abischua, Naaman, Achoach,

And Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.

Guéra, Schephuphan et Huram.

And these are the sons of Ehud: these are the heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Geba, and they removed them to Manahath:

Voici les fils d'Echud, qui étaient chefs de famille parmi les habitants de Guéba, et qui les transportèrent à Manachath:

And Naaman, and Ahiah, and Gera, he removed them, and begat Uzza, and Ahihud.

Naaman, Achija et Guéra. Guéra, qui les transporta, engendra Uzza et Achichud.

And Shaharaim begat children in the country of Moab, after he had sent them away; Hushim and Baara were his wives.

And he begat of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcham,

Il eut de Hodesch, sa femme: Jobab, Tsibja, Méscha, Malcam,

And Jeuz, and Shachia, and Mirma. These were his sons, heads of the fathers.

Jeuts, Schocja et Mirma. Ce sont là ses fils, chefs de famille.

And of Hushim he begat Abitub, and Elpaal.

Il eut de Huschim: Abithub et Elpaal.

The sons of Elpaal; Eber, and Misham, and Shamed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof:

Fils d'Elpaal: Eber, Mischeam, et Schémer, qui bâtit Ono, Lod et les villes de son ressort.

Beriah also, and Shema, who were heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who drove away the inhabitants of Gath:

Beria et Schéma, qui étaient chefs de famille parmi les habitants d'Ajalon, mirent en fuite les habitants de Gath.

And Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth,

Achjo, Schaschak, Jerémoth,

And Zebadiah, and Arad, and Ader,

Zebadja, Arad, Eder,

And Michael, and Ispah, and Joha, the sons of Beriah;

Micaël, Jischpha et Jocha étaient fils de Beria. -

And Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hezeki, and Heber,

Zebadja, Meschullam, Hizki, Héber,

Ishmerai also, and Jezliah, and Jobab, the sons of Elpaal;

Jischmeraï, Jizlia et Jobab étaient fils d'Elpaal. -

And Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi,

And Elienai, and Zilthai, and Eliel,

Eliénaï, Tsilthaï, Eliel,

And Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, the sons of Shimhi;

Adaja, Beraja et Schimrath étaient fils de Schimeï. -

And Ishpan, and Heber, and Eliel,

Jischpan, Eber, Eliel,

And Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan,

Abdon, Zicri, Hanan,

And Hananiah, and Elam, and Antothijah,

Hanania, Elam, Anthothija,

And Iphedeiah, and Penuel, the sons of Shashak;

Jiphdeja et Penuel étaient fils de Schaschak. -

And Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah,

Schamscheraï, Schecharia, Athalia,

And Jaresiah, and Eliah, and Zichri, the sons of Jeroham.

Jaaréschia, Elija et Zicri étaient fils de Jerocham. -

These were heads of the fathers, by their generations, chief men. These dwelt in Jerusalem.

Ce sont là des chefs de famille, chefs selon leurs générations. Ils habitaient à Jérusalem.

And at Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon; whose wife's name was Maachah:

Le père de Gabaon habitait à Gabaon, et le nom de sa femme était Maaca.

And his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,

Abdon, son fils premier-né, puis Tsur, Kis, Baal, Nadab,

And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zacher.

Guedor, Achjo, et Zéker.

And Mikloth begat Shimeah. And these also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against them.

Mikloth engendra Schimea. Ils habitaient aussi à Jérusalem près de leurs frères, avec leurs frères. -

And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchi–shua, and Abinadab, and Esh–baal.

Ner engendra Kis; Kis engendra Saül; Saül engendra Jonathan, Malki-Schua, Abinadab et Eschbaal.

And the son of Jonathan was Merib–baal; and Merib–baal begat Micah.

Fils de Jonathan: Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal engendra Michée.

And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.

Fils de Michée: Pithon, Mélec, Thaeréa et Achaz.

And Ahaz begat Jehoadah; and Jehoadah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza,

Achaz engendra Jehoadda; Jehoadda engendra Alémeth, Azmaveth et Zimri; Zimri engendra Motsa;

And Moza begat Binea: Rapha was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son:

Motsa engendra Binea. Rapha, son fils; Eleasa, son fils; Atsel, son fils;

And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

Atsel eut six fils, dont voici les noms: Azrikam, Bocru, Ismaël, Schearia, Abdias et Hanan. Tous ceux-là étaient fils d'Atsel. -

And the sons of Eshek his brother were, Ulam his firstborn, Jehush the second, and Eliphelet the third.

Fils d'Eschek, son frère: Ulam, son premier-né, Jeusch le second, et Eliphéleth le troisième.

And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons' sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.

Les fils d'Ulam furent de vaillants hommes, tirant de l'arc; et ils eurent beaucoup de fils et de petits-fils, cent cinquante. Tous ceux-là sont des fils de Benjamin.
