Acts 10

There was a certain man in Cæsarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

Имаше в Кесария един човек на име Корнилий, стотник от така наречения италийски полк.

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

Той беше благочестив и се боеше от Бога с целия си дом, раздаваше много милостини на народа и непрестанно се молеше на Бога.

He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

Около деветия час през деня той видя ясно във видение Божи ангел, който влезе при него и му каза: Корнилий!

And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

А той, като се взря в него, уплашен, каза: Какво има, Господи? И ангелът му каза: Твоите молитви и твоите милостини възлязоха пред Бога за спомен.

And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:

И сега, изпрати мъже в Йопия и повикай Симон, който се нарича и Петър.

He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

Той е отседнал у един кожар Симон, чиято къща е край морето.

And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;

И като си отиде ангелът, който му говореше, Корнилий повика двама от слугите и един благочестив войник от тези, които постоянно бяха при него,

And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.

и като им разказа всичко, ги изпрати в Йопия.

On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

А на следващия ден, когато те пътуваха и наближаваха града, около шестия час, Петър се качи на покрива на къщата да се помоли.

And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

И когато огладня, поиска да яде; но докато приготвяха, той изпадна в състояние на видение

And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

и видя небето отворено и някакъв съд да слиза към него, като голямо ленено платнище, спускано за четирите краища към земята.

Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

В него имаше всякакви видове земни четирикраки, пълзящи и небесни птици.

And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

И дойде глас към него: Стани, Петре, заколи и яж.

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

А Петър каза: В никакъв случай, Господи, защото никога не съм ял нещо мръсно или нечисто.

And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

И гласът пак дойде към него втори път: Което Бог е очистил, ти не го считай за нечисто.

This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

Това стана три пъти; и съдът пак се вдигна в небето.

Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,

А докато Петър беше в недоумение какво значеше видението, което беше видял, ето, мъжете, изпратени от Корнилий, които бяха разпитали за къщата на Симон, застанаха пред портата

And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.

и извикаха, като попитаха: Тук ли гостува Симон, който се нарича и Петър?

While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

И докато Петър размисляше за видението, Духът му каза: Ето, трима мъже те търсят.

Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

Стани, слез и иди с тях, без да се съмняваш ни най-малко, защото Аз съм ги изпратил.

Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?

И така, Петър слезе при мъжете, които бяха изпратени при него от Корнилий, и каза: Ето, аз съм този, когото търсите. По каква работа сте дошли?

And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

А те казаха: Стотникът Корнилий, един праведен човек, който се бои от Бога и има добро име сред целия юдейски народ, беше упътен чрез един свят ангел да те повика в своя дом и да чуе думи от теб.

Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

Тогава той ги покани вътре и ги настани. И на сутринта Петър замина с тях; а някои от братята от Йопия го придружиха.

And the morrow after they entered into Cæsarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.

А на другия ден влязоха в Кесария. И Корнилий ги чакаше, като беше свикал роднините си и близките си приятели.

And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.

И когато Петър влизаше, Корнилий го посрещна, падна пред краката му и се поклони.

But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

А Петър го вдигна, като каза: Стани; и аз самият съм човек.

And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.

И като разговаряше с него, той влезе и намери мнозина събрани.

And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

И им каза: Вие знаете колко е незаконно за един, който е юдеин, да се събира или да ходи при някой, който е от друго племе, но Бог ми показа, че не бива да наричам никого мръсен или нечист.

Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

Затова дойдох, без да възразявам, веднага щом ме повикахте; и така, питам ви: по коя причина сте ме повикали?

And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

И Корнилий каза: Преди четири дни постих до този час и в деветия час се молех у дома, и ето, пред мен застана един мъж в блестящо облекло,

And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

който каза: Корнилий, твоята молитва е чута и твоите милостини се спомниха пред Бога.

Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

Така че прати в Йопия да повикат тук Симон, който се нарича и Петър; той е отседнал в дома на един кожар Симон, край морето. (Той, като дойде, ще ти говори.)

Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

И така, аз веднага пратих до теб и ти добре направи, че дойде. Затова сега всички ние присъстваме тук, пред Бога, за да чуем всичко, което ти е заповядано от Господа.

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

А Петър отвори уста и каза: Наистина виждам, че Бог не гледа на лице,

But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

а във всеки народ онзи, който Му се бои и върши правда, Му е угоден.

The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

Словото, което Той изпрати на израилевите синове, като им благовестяваше мир чрез Иисус Христос, който е Господар на всички,

That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judæa, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

това слово вие знаете, което след кръщението, проповядвано от Йоан, се разпространи по цяла Юдея, като се започна от Галилея;

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

как Бог помаза със Свети Дух и със сила Иисус от Назарет, който обикаляше, като правеше добрини и изцеляваше всички угнетявани от дявола, защото Бог беше с Него.

And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

И ние сме свидетели на всичко, което Той извърши и в юдейската земя и в Ерусалим; когото те убиха, като Го приковаха на дърво.

Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

Него Бог възкреси на третия ден и Му даде да се яви –

Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

не на целия народ, а на свидетели, предварително избрани от Бога – на нас, които ядохме и пихме с Него, след като възкръсна от мъртвите.

And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

И ни поръча да проповядваме на народа и да свидетелстваме, че Той е определеният от Бога Съдия на живите и мъртвите.

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

За Него свидетелстват всичките пророци, че всеки, който вярва в Него, получава прощение на греховете си чрез Неговото Име.

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Докато Петър още говореше тези думи, Светият Дух слезе на всички, които слушаха словото.

And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

И обрязаните вярващи, които бяха дошли с Петър, се смаяха за това, че дарът на Светия Дух се изля и на езичниците,

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

защото ги чуваха да говорят на езици и да величаят Бога. Тогава Петър проговори:

Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Може ли някой да забрани водата, за да не се кръстят тези, които приеха Светия Дух, както и ние?

And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

И заповяда да бъдат кръстени в Името на Иисус Христос. Тогава му се помолиха да остане няколко дни.
