Acts 11

And the apostles and brethren that were in Judæa heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

И апостолите и братята, които бяха в Юдея, чуха, че и езичниците приели Божието слово.

And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

И когато Петър влезе в Ерусалим, онези, които бяха от обрязаните, спореха с него, като казваха:

Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

При необрязани хора си влизал и си ял с тях.

But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

А Петър започна отначало и им разясни всичко подред, като каза:

I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

Аз бях в град Йопия и като се молех, изпаднах в състояние на видение и видях видение: един съд, като голямо ленено платнище, слизаше от небето, спускан за четирите ъгъла, и дойде даже до мен.

Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

В него, като се взрях и разглеждах, видях земните четирикраки, диви зверове и пълзящи, и небесни птици.

And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

И чух глас, който ми каза: Стани, Петре, заколи и яж.

But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

Но аз казах: Не, Господи, защото никога не е влизало в устата ми нещо мръсно или нечисто.

But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

Но гласът втори път ми проговори от небето: Което Бог е очистил, ти не го считай за нечисто.

And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

Това стана три пъти, и всичко се вдигна пак в небето.

And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Cæsarea unto me.

И ето, в същия час пред къщата, в която бяхме, пристигнаха трима мъже, изпратени от Кесария до мен.

And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house:

И Духът ми каза да отида с тях, без да се двоумя. А с мен дойдоха и тези шестима братя и влязохме в къщата на човека.

And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

И той ни разказа как видял в къщата си ангела, който застанал и му казал: Прати в Йопия да повикат Симон, който се нарича и Петър,

Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

който ще ти каже думи, чрез които ще се спасиш ти и целият ти дом.

And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

И когато започнах да говоря, Светият Дух слезе на тях, както и на нас отначало.

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Тогава си спомних словото на Господа, как каза: Йоан е кръщавал с вода, но вие ще бъдете кръстени със Свети Дух.

Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

И така, ако Бог даде същия дар и на тях, когато повярваха в Господ Иисус Христос, както и на нас, кой бях аз, че да можех да се противопоставя на Бога?

When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Като чуха това, те се успокоиха и славеха Бога, като казваха: И така, Бог и на езичниците даде покаяние за живот.

Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

А онези, които се бяха разпръснали поради гонението, което стана заради убийството на Стефан, пътуваха чак до Финикия, Кипър и Антиохия, като на никой друг не възвестяваха словото, освен на юдеите.

And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

Между тях обаче имаше някои кипърци и киринейци, които, като пристигнаха в Антиохия, говореха и на гърците, като благовестяваха Господ Иисус.

And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

И ръката на Господа беше с тях и голям брой повярваха и се обърнаха към Господа.

Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

И известие за това стигна в ушите на църквата в Ерусалим; и те изпратиха Варнава да отиде в Антиохия;

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

който, като дойде и видя Божията благодат, се зарадва и увещаваше всички да стоят в Господа с непоколебимо сърце.

For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

Понеже той беше добър човек, пълен със Светия Дух и с вяра; и значително множество се прибави към Господа.

Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

Тогава Варнава отиде в Тарс, за да търси Савел;

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

и като го намери, го доведе в Антиохия. И цяла година те се събираха в църквата и научиха голямо множество. И първо в Антиохия учениците бяха наречени християни.

And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

И през тези дни слязоха пророци от Ерусалим в Антиохия.

And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Cæsar.

И един от тях на име Агав стана и обяви чрез Духа, че ще настане голям глад по целия свят, какъвто и настана в дните на Клавдий.

Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judæa:

Тогава учениците наредиха да изпратят помощ на братята, които живееха в Юдея – всеки според състоянието си –

Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

което и направиха, като я изпратиха до старейшините чрез ръцете на Варнава и Савел.
