Proverbs 14

Всяка мъдра жена изгражда дома си, а безумната го събаря със собствените си ръце.

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

Който ходи в правотата си, се бои от ГОСПОДА, а лъжливият в пътищата си Го презира.

He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.

В устата на безумния е бичът на гордостта, а устните на мъдрите ще ги пазят.

In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

Където няма говеда, яслите са чисти, но голямото изобилие идва от силата на воловете.

Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

Верният свидетел не лъже, а лъжливият свидетел издиша лъжи.

A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

Присмивателят търси мъдрост, но я няма, а познанието е лесно за разумния.

A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

Отмини безумния човек, когато си разбрал, че няма разумни устни.

Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

Мъдростта на благоразумния е да познава пътя си, а глупостта на безумните е заблуждение.

The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

Безумните се смеят на греха, а сред праведните има благоволение.

Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

Сърцето познава собствената си мъка и чужд не участва в неговата радост.

The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.

Домът на безбожните ще се изтреби, а шатрата на праведните ще благоденства.

The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.

Има път, който се вижда прав на човека, но краят му са пътища на смъртта.

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Даже и в смеха сърцето може да боли и краят на радостта е тъга.

Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.

Отстъпникът по сърце ще се насити от пътищата си, а добрият човек — от това, което е в него.

The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

Невежият вярва на всяка дума, а благоразумният внимава в стъпките си.

The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

Мъдрият се бои и се отклонява от злото, а безумният се хвърля напред и е самонадеян.

A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

Избухливият човек постъпва глупаво и злонамереният е мразен.

He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

Невежите наследяват глупост, а благоразумните се увенчават със знание.

The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

Злите се покланят пред добрите и безбожните — при портите на праведния.

The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

Бедният е мразен даже от ближния си, а приятелите на богатия са много.

The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.

Който презира ближния си, съгрешава, а който оказва милост на сиромасите, е блажен.

He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

Не се ли отклоняват онези, които замислят зло? Но милост и истина ще намерят онези, които замислят добро.

Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

Във всеки труд има полза, а бърборенето с устни води само до бедност.

In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

Венецът на мъдрите е тяхното богатство, а глупостта на простите е само глупост.

The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.

Верният свидетел избавя души, а който издиша лъжи, е измама.

A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

В страха от ГОСПОДА има силна увереност и Неговите синове ще имат прибежище.

In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

Страхът от ГОСПОДА е извор на живот, за да се избягнат примките на смъртта.

The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

В множеството на народа е славата на царя, а намаляването на народа е падането на княза.

In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

Търпеливият има много разум, а избухливият възвеличава безумието.

He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

Спокойно сърце е живот за тялото, а завистта е гнилост за костите.

A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

Който потиска сиромаха, безчести Създателя му, а който е милостив към нуждаещия се, Го почита.

He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

Безбожният ще бъде отхвърлен за злината си, а праведният има убежище в смъртта си.

The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

Мъдрост почива в сърцето на разумния, а каквото има вътре в безумния, ще се яви.

Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.

Правдата възвишава нация, а грехът е позор за народите.

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

Благоволението на царя е към разумния слуга, а гневът му е против онзи, който докарва срам.

The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
