Psalms 22

Deus meu, Deus meu, por que me desamparaste? Por que estás longe de me auxiliar, e das palavras do meu bramido?

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

Deus meu, eu clamo de dia, porém tu não me ouves; também de noite, mas não acho sossego.

O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

Contudo tu és santo, entronizado sobre os louvores de Israel.

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Em ti confiaram nossos pais; confiaram, e tu os livraste.

Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

A ti clamaram, e foram salvos; em ti confiaram, e não foram confundidos.

They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

Mas eu sou verme, e não homem; opróbrio dos homens e desprezado do povo.

But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

Todos os que me veem zombam de mim, arreganham os beiços e meneiam a cabeça, dizendo:

All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

Confiou no Senhor; que ele o livre; que ele o salve, pois que nele tem prazer.

He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

Mas tu és o que me tiraste da madre; o que me preservaste, estando eu ainda aos seios de minha mãe.

But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

Nos teus braços fui lançado desde a madre; tu és o meu Deus desde o ventre de minha mãe.

I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.

Não te afastes de mim, pois a angústia está perto, e não há quem acuda.

Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

Muitos touros me cercam; fortes touros de Basã me rodeiam.

Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

Abrem contra mim sua boca, como um leão que despedaça e que ruge.

They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

Como água me derramei, e todos os meus ossos se desconjuntaram; o meu coração é como cera, derreteu-se no meio das minhas entranhas.

I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

A minha força secou-se como um caco e a língua se me apega ao céu da boca; tu me puseste no pó da morte.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

Pois cães me rodeiam; o ajuntamento de ímpios me cerca; transpassaram-me as mãos e os pés.

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Posso contar todos os meus ossos. Eles me olham e ficam me encarando.

I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

Repartem entre si as minhas vestes e sobre a minha túnica deitam sortes.

They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Mas tu, Senhor, não te afastes de mim; força minha, apressa-te em socorrer-me.

But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

Livra-me da espada, e a minha vida do poder do cão.

Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

Salva-me da boca do leão, sim, livra-me dos chifres do boi selvagem.

Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

Então anunciarei o teu nome aos meus irmãos; louvar-te-ei no meio da congregação.

I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

Vós, que temeis ao Senhor, louvai-o; todos vós, filhos de Jacó, glorificai-o; temei-o todos vós, descendência de Israel.

Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

Porque não desprezou nem abominou a aflição do aflito, nem dele escondeu o seu rosto; antes, quando ele clamou, o ouviu.

For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

De ti vem o meu louvor na grande congregação; pagarei os meus votos perante os que o temem.

My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

Os mansos comerão e se fartarão; louvarão ao Senhor os que o buscam. Vosso coração viverá eternamente!

The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

Todos os confins da terra se lembrarão e se converterão ao Senhor, e diante dele adorarão todas as famílias das nações.

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

Porque o reino é do Senhor, e ele governa sobre as nações.

For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.

Todos os opulentos da terra comerão e adorarão: todos os que descem ao pó se prostrarão perante ele; nenhum deles pode preservar a sua vida.

All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

A posteridade o servirá; falar-se-á do Senhor à geração vindoura.

A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

Chegarão e anunciarão a justiça dele; a um povo que há de nascer contarão o que ele fez.

They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
