Psalms 38

O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

हे यहोवा, क्रोध में मेरी आलोचना मत कर। मुझको अनुशासित करते समय मुझ पर क्रोधित मत हो।

For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

हे यहोवा, तूने मुझे चोट दिया है। तेरे बाण मुझमें गहरे उतरे हैं।

There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

तूने मुझे दण्डित किया और मेरी सम्पूर्ण काया दु:ख रही है, मैंने पाप किये और तूने मुझे दण्ड दिया। इसलिए मेरी हड्डी दु:ख रही है।

For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

मैं बुरे काम करने का अपराधी हूँ, और वह अपराध एक बड़े बोझे सा मेरे कन्धे पर चढ़ा है।

My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

मैं बना रहा मूर्ख, अब मेरे घाव दुर्गन्धपूर्ण रिसते हैं और वे सड़ रहे हैं।

I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

मैं झुका और दबा हुआ हूँ। मैं सारे दिन उदास रहता हूँ।

For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

मुझको ज्वर चढ़ा है, और समूचे शरीर में वेदना भर गई है।

I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

मैं पूरी तरह से दुर्बल हो गया हूँ। मैं कष्ट में हूँ इसलिए मैं कराहता और विलाप करता हूँ।

Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

हे यहोवा, तूने मेरा कराहना सुन लिया। मेरी आहें तो तुझसे छुपी नहीं।

My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

मुझको ताप चढ़ा है। मेरी शक्ति निचुड़ गयी है। मेरी आँखों की ज्योति लगभग जाती रही।

My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

क्योंकि मैं रोगी हूँ, इसलिए मेरे मित्र और मेरे पड़ोसी मुझसे मिलने नहीं आते। मेरे परिवार के लोग तो मेरे पास तक नहीं फटकते।

They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

मेरे शत्रु मेरी निन्दा करते हैं। वे झूठी बातों और प्रतिवादों को फैलाते रहते हैं। मेरे ही विषय में वे हरदम बात चीत करते रहते हैं।

But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

किन्तु मैं बहरा बना कुछ नहीं सुनता हूँ। मैं गूँगा हो गया, जो कुछ नहीं बोल सकता।

Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

मैं उस व्यक्ति सा बना हूँ, जो कुछ नहीं सुन सकता कि लोग उसके विषय क्या कह रहे हैं। और मैं यह तर्क नहीं दे सकता और सिद्ध नहीं कर सकता की मेरे शत्रु अपराधी हैं।

For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

सो, हे यहोवा, मुझे तू ही बचा सकता है। मेरे परमेश्वर और मेरे स्वामी मेरे शत्रुओं को तू ही सत्य बता दे।

For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

यदि मैं कुछ भी न कहूँ, तो मेरे शत्रु मुझ पर हँसेंगे। मुझे खिन्न देखकर वे कहने लगेंगे कि मैं अपने कुकर्मो का फल भोग रहा हूँ।

For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

मैं जानता हूँ कि मैं अपने कुकर्मो के लिए पापी हूँ। मैं अपनी पीड़ा को भूल नहीं सकता हूँ।

For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

हे यहोवा, मैंने तुझको अपने कुकर्म बता दिये। मैं अपने पापों के लिए दु:खी हूँ।

But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

मेरे शत्रु जीवित और पूर्ण स्वस्थ हैं। उन्होंने बहुत—बहुत झूठी बातें बोली हैं।

They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

मेरे शत्रु मेरे साथ बुरा व्यवहार करते हैं, जबकि मैंने उनके लिये भला ही किया है। मैं बस भला करने का जतन करता रहा, किन्तु वे सब लोग मेरे विरद्ध हो गये हैं।

Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.

हे यहोवा, मुझको मत बिसरा! मेरे परमेश्वर, मुझसे तू दूर मत रह!

Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.

देर मत कर, आ और मेरी सुधि ले! हे मेरे परमेश्वर, मुझको तू बचा ले!
