Proverbs 2

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

Сине мой, ако приемеш думите ми и запазиш заповедите ми в себе си,

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

така че да е внимателно ухото ти към мъдростта и да приклониш сърцето си към разума,

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

да, ако призовеш благоразумието и издигнеш гласа си към разума;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

ако го потърсиш като сребро и го подириш като скрити съкровища,

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

тогава ще разбереш страха от ГОСПОДА и ще намериш Божието познание —

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

защото ГОСПОД дава мъдрост, от устата Му излизат знание и разум.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

Той запазва истинска мъдрост за честните, щит е за ходещите в непорочност,

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

за да закриля пътеките на правдата и да пази пътя на светиите Си.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

Тогава ще разбереш правда и съд, и правота — всеки добър път,

When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

защото мъдрост ще влезе в сърцето ти и знание ще услажда душата ти,

Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

разсъдливост ще те пази, благоразумие ще те закриля,

To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

за да те избави от пътя на злото, от човека, който говори лъжливо,

Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

от онези, които оставят пътеките на правотата, за да ходят в пътищата на тъмнината,

Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

които се наслаждават да вършат зло и се радват на лъжливостта на злите,

Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

чиито пътеки са криви и които са лъжливи в пътищата си;

To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

за да те избави от чужда жена, от чужденката, която ласкае с думите си,

Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.

която е оставила другаря на младостта си и е забравила завета на своя Бог,

For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

понеже домът й води надолу към смъртта и пътеките й — към сенките.

None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

Всички, които влизат при нея, не се връщат и не достигат пътищата на живота.

That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

За да ходиш ти в пътя на добрите и да пазиш пътеките на праведните,

For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

защото праведните ще населяват земята и непорочните ще останат в нея,

But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

а безбожните ще се отсекат от земята и законопрестъпниците ще се изкоренят от нея.
