Genesis 11

And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

А по цялата земя имаше един език и един говор.

And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

И като тръгнаха от изток, намериха поле в земята Сенаар и се заселиха там.

And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

И си казаха един на друг: Елате, да направим тухли и да ги изпечем в огъня. Тухли употребяваха вместо камъни, а смола употребяваха вместо хоросан.

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

И казаха: Елате, да си съградим град и кула, чийто връх да стига до небето, и да си спечелим име, да не би да се разпръснем по лицето на цялата земя.

And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

А ГОСПОД слезе да види града и кулата, които градяха човешките синове.

And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

И ГОСПОД каза: Ето, един народ са и всички имат един език; и това е само началото на тяхната дейност; и вече няма да им бъде невъзможно нищо, което биха намислили да правят.

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

Елате, да слезем и там да разбъркаме езика им, така че един на друг да не разбират езика си.

So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

Така ГОСПОД ги разпръсна оттам по лицето на цялата земя и престанаха да градят града.

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Затова той се нарече Вавилон, защото там ГОСПОД разбърка езика на цялата земя; и оттам ГОСПОД ги разпръсна по лицето на цялата земя.

These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:

Ето родословието на Сим: Сим беше на сто години и роди Арфаксад две години след потопа.

And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

А откакто роди Арфаксад, Сим живя петстотин години и роди синове и дъщери.

And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:

Арфаксад живя тридесет и пет години и роди Сала.

And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

А откакто роди Сала, Арфаксад живя четиристотин и три години и роди синове и дъщери.

And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:

Сала живя тридесет години и роди Евер.

And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

А откакто роди Евер, Сала живя четиристотин и три години и роди синове и дъщери.

And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:

Евер живя тридесет и четири години и роди Фалек.

And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.

А откакто роди Фалек, Евер живя четиристотин и тридесет години и роди синове и дъщери.

And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:

Фалек живя тридесет години и роди Рагав.

And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

А откакто роди Рагав, Фалек живя двеста и девет години и роди синове и дъщери.

And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:

Рагав живя тридесет и две години и роди Серух.

And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.

А откакто роди Серух, Рагав живя двеста и седем години и роди синове и дъщери.

And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:

Серух живя тридесет години и роди Нахор.

And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

А откакто роди Нахор, Серух живя двеста години и роди синове и дъщери.

And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:

Нахор живя двадесет и девет години и роди Тара.

And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.

А откакто роди Тара, Нахор живя сто и деветнадесет години и роди синове и дъщери.

And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

Тара живя седемдесет години и роди Аврам, Нахор и Аран.

Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.

Ето родословието на Тара: Тара роди Аврам, Нахор и Аран. А Аран роди Лот.

And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.

И Аран умря преди баща си Тара в Ур Халдейски, в родната си земя.

And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

И Аврам и Нахор си взеха жени; името на жената на Аврам беше Сарая, а името на жената на Нахор беше Мелха, дъщеря на Аран, баща на Мелха, баща и на Есха.

But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

А Сарая беше безплодна, нямаше дете.

And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

И Тара взе сина си Аврам и внука си Лот, сина на Аран, и снаха си Сарая, жената на сина си Аврам, и излязоха заедно от Ур Халдейски, за да отидат в земята Ханаан; и дойдоха в Харан и се заселиха там.

And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.

И дните на Тара станаха двеста и пет години, и Тара умря в Харан.
